I'm in the same camp as a lot of people posting here, as I don't accept any friend requests after a game. I don't get very many, but I've had a couple lately from very close games (I won one, and lost the other). I just don't want to deal with baby rage or gloating.
Yesterday I had a match against a mage in Arena. He cast Cabalist tome which gave him 1 flamestrike and 2 Pyroblast.
I read his hand on having 2 pyroblasts immediately and he didn't play all too well, but I didn't win (I did miss lethal however, because I wasn't paying attention and forgot to play around counterspel (which he got from Babbeling Book).
After he won, he added me to say: "Woah, such a crazy and fun game!"
The thing is, I don't think he would have send me that request had he lost that game. I tried setting away my salt for that insane Cabalist tome and me missing lethal. We chatted a bit, and I guess he's allright. Was happy he wasn't being a dick about his victory, so am glad to keep him in my list.
Tl;dr: Accept friend request. If they're being idiots in your chat delete them. Otherwise, gain a friend.
Dude he just wanted to see if you are salty after that or not. That was all.
Not really, he said my deck was nice and complimented on some of the plays I made (Auchenai Soulpriest + Hozen Healer to kill his Grommash). Also, there was mentions of good luck for the next Arena I started, so no.
Just you having the cup half empty, that's all
He can say good things and wish you luck. That doesnt mean he wanted to check if you are salty or not. You cant understand people's intention easily like that.
add then, say "sup dude", get insulted and unfriended. thats what beem happening for a long time now, long time i dont make a friend by adding last opponent :(
You know it's weird. I get literally dozens of friend requests after beating them in a game. I methodically and meaningfully accept every one of them, bracing myself for the barrage of verbal abuse that might follow.
I have never, and I mean NEVER had a single one of these people actually send me a goddamned message yet! Lol!
I have no idea why they added me unless it was for quest-completions! XD
I accept most friend requests. It's about 50% ragefest and 50% polite frustration.
The ragefests usually have something like this: "Nice RNG lucky f*cking n*er bullshit." I just unfriend them and leave it at that.
I had one guy who started out like this but I shut him down quick. It went:
HIM: LOL more jade shaman trash
ME: Yep.
HIM: u'll neve rmake legend playing net decks
ME: Nope. But I won't make legend either way because I'm not a skilled player, I just play strong decks as well as I can. Jade is all I can win with consistently.
HIM: LOL me too
ME: Tight meta right. Looking forward Un'goro
HIM: LOL me too. I have play a friend u want in?
ME: Sure!
Achievement Unlocked: sooth irate college freshman (reward: 80 gold)
I generally accept them unless pirate warrior. If they talk shit and run i get a laugh, if the complement or talk about the game then i have another play a friend/spectate fulfiller. Currently at 38 friends and get 1-2 PaF quests for easy gold.
I usually accept, then a couple of days later I end up getting 80 gold because they have the quest. I have only ever had one salty dog, after i was able to get turn 5 lethal as tempo mage purely by flamewaker luck.
Accept everyone. Worse that can happen, you get straight up insulted and then they are likely to unfriend you anyway. My phylosophy is to let them be salty. After all, it is up to them to get fully mad over a game or to keep it cool and casual. Personally, when I do send friend request, it is to thank my opponent for their good play. There's no need to ever get bitter, even if your win rate gets frustratingly mediocre ... As a wise buddhist once taught:
“Holding onto anger is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to die.”
Usualy i try to friend people after game and hope they are not salty. or not asume im salty.(if it was fun game and both were good sports about the game)

Me too. However, I sometimes get annoyed when someone doesn't approve me and I wanna ask them something about the deck or congratulate on a lucky play (like a pirate warr with 1 card (1st mortal strike) in his hand who topdecked the 2nd mortal strike for exact lethal - he had 15 cards left in his deck and I had deliberately risked it, since I had a major heal lined up for next turn...turned out to be a horrible missplay xD)...or when someone plays something funky and I want to know if it's working out on ladder or I was just a good matchup for them etc...
If I am playing flavor of the month and won disgustingly, I skip most invites, because I am currently playing to win, not to be amused and have fun.
If the deck is a meme/combo deck, I always accept invites, because that usually means I pulled off a ridiculous combo, and I get the affirmation :D
If the deck is a control deck, I almost never get any invites, unless the game went to fatigue, then sometimes the opponent add me and we admire the epic battle that just transpired.

Do you require my assistance?
Maybe I don't want to be your friend, ever thought about that?
Last friend request I got was playing in Wild and casual. I had a straight murloc deck. I won, I think my opponent was mad.
Some added me because they are obviously salty. But its fine. I added them after some time so they wouldn't remember who I am.
Few days later, they pass me 80G. Its really good to have many friends. Its win-win situation.

need take time to make new pic and signature using the new cards.
never had angry friend request in my 3+ years of hearthstone. guess it has something to do with not playing braindead decks
i deal with them by clicking big red X next to request...

"What have you got there,
PinocchioMalygos?"Simple. I always accept them. If someone is toxic, I report them, then send them this video:
I generally accept, especially if they lose. I never accept if I win while playing a mill deck, because that never ends well.
Edit: I also never accept if it is a request from the latest face deck. I don't have time for angry children.

step 1. Say gg fun game.
Step 2. Have a good discusion about our decks.
Well Perkele :D
You can't stop the signal.
It depends on the deck I am playing:
I got my first Babyrage friend request the other day. I found it to be hilarious.
