Combo druid wouldn't of been that bad in standard it was strong because of lore and shredders they both got either taken out or nerfed to the point you can't play it. Bloodlust shaman is the same if not worse than combo druid. Miracle rogue Leeroy+Blood+Conceal again way more burst than combo druids could do with the same mana used. They should of remade a Loatheb to keep combo druid, miracle rogue and freeze mage in check. But no let's destroy Druid and buff every other class.
Druids we want them to be a beast class! Blizz proceeds to ram C'thun cards down our necks. C'thun druid is strong when built right but again EVERYONE but hunter has great board clear and control whilst druids have to spend 9 mana for a shitty flamestrike I'm talking about azure drake+swipe.
Next adventure give druids a card that can turn any minion into a 1/1 tree for 3 mana I'll be happy just like polymorph and hex.
druid is very far from being the worst class. it just dropped from being insanely OP to being average.
and I hope it stays this way for a looong loooong time. druid was t1 class since beta. it really deserves a downtime, especially after getting away for so long with the bullshit combo.
It's really not that weak a class. We aren't talking like Shaman tier bad anymore. Druid has 2 great decks in standard: Beast Druid (still being refined and it's already hitting high legend) and C'thun Druid (hit rank 1 legend EU at one point this season). Druid, Priest, and Hunter are all in the running for worst class at the moment, but all three have tier 2 decks (or at least would if Tempo Storm used anything more than just anecdotal nonsense for how they rank decks). So, in that regard, I don't really think it's worth worrying about a worst class.
Yeah the thing is cause of all the crybabies that is why druid went down, not cause of the expansion alone. On top of that after the nerfs happened, people were still crying for Innervate and SR nerfs afterwards. Yeah that would have actually killed the class.
Druid wasn't even the best class at the time, Paladin was....and has been since the Grim patron nerf.
Also being the worst class doesn't mean unplayable, btw.
I played a bit beast druid today and had an insane climb on legend ladder almost undefeated , i have my own version though which is more midrange oriented , nevertheless the deck is insane , its not a counter to slow decks but all around and very solid deck , one thing i can say is that if you draw fandral with innervate when you go second you almost won , the advantage you gain is so insane that even an immediate hex after cannot save the game , beast druid is high tier 2 or even tier 1 , ramp looks nice with the 10/10 god but i dont play the deck so i cant comment .... cthun druid looks good too but it seems a bit inconsistent no less than tier 2 though.
I think tier lists at hs is something that shouldnt exist because its false , decks are not cars or football teams that have statistical barriers , every class has the potential to be the best as long as you follow the meta and improve your builds , blizzard does a good job to maintain the balance , the best players dunnot care about classes but about deckbuilding , you will notice that the best players right now already found new builds and the bottom of the legend ladder play with old decks at 50% winrate , deckbuilding at hs is very complicated because even 1 card can make so much difference , use your brain and math instead of tier lists , tier lists like tempostorm are only for introduction to new players and to get a general idea about the current state of the game, , good players use this information to stay ahead of the curve instead of following it blindly.

Druid is VERY strong at the moment, all it needs is a brain.
What I mean to say is, sequencing. The most important aspect of Ramp Cthun Druid (the only viable druid IMO, Beast Druid has too many shenanigans) is sequencing. My Legend farm this month was 101-71, from R16 to Legend, 59% win chance. (Europe, ofc) I had games where I kept 7 drops in opening hand cause my hand, coupled with correct sequencing allowed me to drop said 7drop on T4. My battle-net ID tag is public, anyone who's interested in learning the strengths of Cthun Ramp Druid, add me. I'll be glad to assist as it is a very rewarding deck with a decently high skill-cap.

At the finish of this seasn i wanna create a combo deck with chtun aviana and brann . A turn 10 with thise cards innervate and also a brewmaster can deal at least 60 damage . The problem of druid is AoE spells , if you lose board you lose the game.
But wasn't it kind of to be expected, when they got hit so hard with nerfs and didn't really get any great cards instead.
They aren't even just lacking in good removal, they also have the worst aoe for this meta.
This means that druid decks will probably need to rely on big stat minions to battle for board. Playing right into the opponents hand.
Did you even read the post above yours?
That's the whole POINT of playing Ramp. You use your first, second, maybe 3rd turn as well to Ramp. That's an OBVIOUS tempo loss. But, lo and behold, your opponent is playing on 4 mana and you're dropping your Arakoa. He deals with it. Ok, Arakoa #2. He deals with it, but uses more resources than before, and his board is becoming weaker and weaker. Ok, time for Ancient of War. Now what, punk? No answer? Ok, Rag time. Gee fucking Gee.
The issue of removal, Wrath is probably THE best 2 mana removal in the game, due to its versatility. Swipe is mediocre, but gets the job done, needs an Azure Drake on board to be on par with the rest of AOE Class removals (such as Hellfire, Concecration, Storm etc). I wouldn't mind seeing a Hex/Polymorph inspired card for druids, although, it doesn't fit with the Lore, at all.

Different folks have different viewpoints on how strong Druid is or isn't, but for me I think it's really weak right now. I mean it feels so bad to me that I can't even stand when I have to do a Druid daily quest. I can not really put my finger on why this is, when I go to contruct a Druid deck I feel like there's nothing I want to use other than Innervate, Fandrel, Druid of Claws, Wraths and the 2/5 beast. Everything else feels too situational or just too weak. Also I don't see any viable win condition in Druid right now. C'Thun Druid is ok I guess, but not very consistent.
I have been playing ramp (not combo) for years, and the AoL and KotG nerfs really hit hard. I was really surprised, how hard it is, to make c'thun druid work, and druid seemed to be the strongest c'thun class a few weeks ago. Priest and Warrior have more than closed that gap.
Ramp is castrated, Combo is gone and c'thun is really Tier 3 at best. Druid got the short end this time, that's for sure.

This is the problem. Druids have really crappy board control. I want old Keeper/Lore back.
Technically no, just by looking at mana cost. We could consider swipe to be a combination of Arcane Blast and Darkbomb plus the ability to damage your opponent, making it (hypothetically) a pretty good card. However, it's actual power varies.

Did you quote the right post?
Not to mention that the post above was posted at the same time as mine. That post says. "druid is great I had a 59% winrate from r16 to leg." forgive me for saying but a 59% winrate from R16 is nothing to boast about.
Have any of the people on this entire thread actually tried Beast Druid? It's legitimately a powerhouse on ladder and has seen reasonable success in tournament play (around 50% or something like that).

Here's a poem I wrote about the fall of the Druid. Please excuse its length
Oh, once Midrange Druid Ruled on high,
We though for sure he'd never die.
His deck relied on classic cards
No change needed as mechs went to th' junkyard.
Mire Keeper would make him God
Despite its piddly 3/3 bod.
His opponents always would concede
If on turn nine they had low HP.
But then cruel blizzard shot him dead,
just to be sure three rounds in the head.
Nerfing the Keeper sure was sad,
and the new Ancient just is plain bad,
but without these battles still could be won
if they hadn't blown Force of Nature to Kingdom Come.
