The wings will be easy enough that everyone will blow through them and get all of the cards. It's entirely possible that you could unlock a wing and then just never be able to figure out how to beat it.
It will only take a week to complete a wing. Again, a wing could be so tough that you could grind away for a month and still not crack it.
We really don't know until they open it up how tough it will be to quickly beat each wing.
The only way to increase the difficulty of the bots compared to real payers is to give them more HP, better hero powers, cards that are unavailible to the player (but which still will be somewhat balanced on ladder when the player acquires them), or different mana curves (e.g. 2 4 6 8 10).
Other than that, they have to follow the same rules as the players, and use the same cards. With this in mind, there's no reason you'd be stuck on a boss if you just try a few times with a proper deck. I doubt the bosses will be able to deal with a simple zoo deck, but I'd love to be wrong.
And even if you need to build a specific deck to counter a boss, say a rush deck to out DPS Patchwork like you had to in the actual Raid, deck lists and strategies will be up on sites like this in no time. I highly doubt people will spend more than two days on the default difficulty of a wing, and that's assuming they have work the day it comes out and can only play in hour long bursts.

good decks to beat certain bosses will be up within hours, enemy hero powers will be likely the main thing to tune decks around, like the "2 damage to leftmost minion" will be great for, say, frothing or gurubashi decks etc.
the price is acceptable, I was predicting 500g, but I was expecting the game to be released sooner, people farmed more gold and blizzard was likely forced to raise their original 500-600 prices IMO. no problem for me, got saved up 4k gold and besides some cute legendaries like geblin (which I can craft with my 8k dust anyway) got the entire collection, so I doubt I will have issues to get good enough decks for bosses, Im certainly looking forward to it.
tho Im pretty sure if they put an extra wow mount or pet to the full bundle, their naxx profits would double :p

Agreed. And Blizzard has said that they are doing most of those things (better powers, cards we can never ever play, etc.). Should be fun!
okay so i have both real money and ingame gold. is it better to unlock with gold and buy packs with money or unlock with money and buy packs with gold?

Someone on Reddit did the maths and is better to get Naxx with money and get packs with the extra gold. Here:
"Naxxramas costs 2800 gold or $20. (Assuming you get the first wing free and buy the bundle.) That's 140g per $1 spent. Buying packs costs 4000 gold or $50. (For the best value 40 pack bundle.) That's 80g per $1 spent. Long story short, if you're inclined to spend real money, Nax is a WAY better value than buying packs."

Not worth it at all to spend the gold on Naxx if you ever purchase packs/arenas with real money.
20$ would get you 10 arena entries, the gold you're spending would get you 18 1/2. Likewise, 20$ in packs would get you 15, 2800g is going to get you 28
I was going to buy 40 packs with some of my youtube payout, but instead I'm going to spend 30$ on packs and 20$ on nax and end up with 50 instead of 40 packs for same amount

I'm not sure a straight comparison like this works. I think two additional factors to consider are how much money in general you want to sink into the game and the current state of your collection. If you spend money fairly freely on the game, real money is probably the best option. If you limit the amount of money you are comfortable spending on the game then you'll want to look at how complete your collection is. If you have a fairly complete collection you'll want to add an additional conversion which is money-->packs-->average dust, because at that point packs are buying you dust more than they are buying you cards.
As someone who only wants to put a very limited amount of money into the game the gold is the best choice for me as it is in line with my preference to spend little money on the game.
I'm calling it, china leak was to set us up for this to seem like a great deal.
Although to be fair, it seems like a deal anyhow. Also I just hit 3k gold yesterday. Score.
It is a great deal! I have been playing for free (except for one arena run to get Gelbin during beta) since early in beta. Blizzard needs to make some money and I will gladly fork over the money or use my in game gold for it. Glad we have some new content. New cards are going to make it fresh and revitalize old decks, etc.
All I'll say is: "Well played Blizzard." I just hope Blizzard can still make a nice profit, so that the business model stays the same and we keep getting great content.

First wing free if you play during launch event. Save up 700g - not too hard if you start now (or started a week or so ago like I did) for one extra wing, then unlock the last three for a pittance.
To be paid in three equal payments of one-third of a pittance each.
trying not to be a snob here but if you cant spare $20 for a game you spend long enough playing to spend this long reading forums for... maybe stop playing and get a job?

I have a job and I'm not using money. I'd rather use currency that can only be used in Hearthstone (gold) and save my money for real life expenses like college books, or even other forms of entertainment, like dinner with friends.

The firs wing will not be free forever. It will be free for around a month.
