I'm just starting out and was hoping somebody could suggest a semi-viable deck. I tried building a free-to-play deck that Force did a spotlight on, but either I need to learn how to play the deck, or its not viable anymore(could be either). The deck that he suggested is VERY old, so I'm not sure if its viable anymore. When I say free-to-play, I mean commons that you start out with/get from levelling, or commons that I would most likely get eventually but can be replaced if I don't have them just yet with commons that I DO have.
Priests have pretty strong basic cards, and tend to hang in there longer than most classes, so they're a good learning class. But I would cut the Mind Controls down to just 1 now that they cost 10 mana. You can play a second Sen'jin instead, those are great.
I dont have any feral spirit cards yet and only one defender of argus so I'm using shield breakers and an ancestral healing until I get them. The idea behind the deck is to delay with taunt while buffing your minions behind the taunt wall. Then use windspeaker/rockbiter/bloodlust on top of your already buffed minions to do some hard burst damage on turn 7/8/9

Any particular class? If you are just starting I would suggest hunter. They can put a lot of pressure up in the early ranks with all basic cards. This is the deck I ran to get past the first 5-6 ranks and I lost only once. You need to be level 10. Also some good things to craft are Defender of Argus and Bestial Wrath to help this deck out. Also, I got a lucky Explosive Trap from a pack I think.
I definitely wouldn't advise anyone to craft Bestial Wrath early on. It's an epic, so it'll eat a lot of dust. It's not considered that great a card. And it's specific to hunter only, which is currently probably the weakest class overall. Your early crafts should generally be neutral cards usable in many different decks, and start with commons, or rares at most. Until you have all the best of both of those, I wouldn't make epics unless you're definitely sticking to one class, and it's something essential, like Pyroblast. Defender of Argus *is* a fine craft.

Fair enough, I was posting along the lines of a hunter deck and I more inclined to picking classes and sticking to them regardless of which is the flavor of the month. Mostly I pick based on my WoW toons. Bestial Wrath is a card I like and serves me well, but I wont be a top 100 player with as casually as a play.
Those 3 plus the common posted by infare are what I would call ¨mush have¨ below rare. If you are going to craft rares then Argent Commander and Defender of Argus should take priority imo.
All-basic (except 2xFlame Imp) Warlock deck, which helped me to achieve rank 18. Very straightforward, punch 'em till they die and control the board with spells, which you gonna draw with your HP =)
I don't know how old this is, but if anyone is still reading down here, this is a deck that you might want to take a look at. It consists of basic cards, 2 commons and 1 rare, but it's easy enough to be able to take out those cards. It's a very good deck to start off with and it got me from rank 25-20 in just half an hour. As I play this and adjust this in the rank mode, it just keeps on winning. I am only rank 20 currently, but I'm soon to be rank 19 and eventually get better and better. Look at this priest budget deck:
[deck]
1 Holy Smite 2 Power Word: Shield 2 Northshire Cleric 2 Mind Blast 2 Shadow Word: Pain 2 Amani Berserker 2 Novice Engineer 2 Shadow Word: Death 2 Shattered Sun Cleric 2 Gnomish Inventor 2 Ogre Magi 2 Sen'jin Shieldmasta 2 Holy Nova 2 Darkscale Healer 1 Sunwalker 2 Mind Control
[/deck]
the mindblast thing was just an experiment, but it's currently working. You could easily just swap it out for something else if you want to change it.

Maybe my budget deck guide could help you with that. It's got some free to play deck ideas, and enough theory on how to build your own.

Doa has some cool Basic Deck Building articles over at IHEARTHU you're free to check out.
I have played this Deck also in Ranked matches and I think it is a good one to start with.

Only been playing since yesterday and have had reasonable success with something like this

That's my guide of a deck with commons, and you can upgrade this deck when you buy new cards to the other decks that i explain ^^

It's a funny deck, and you can win a lot of matches with it!!

Early cards to craft that I recommend:
These should help a lot of decks out through early gold grinding and are useful for several different classes and archetypes.
This plus: Ironbeak Owl (maybe not top priority but good on hunter decks), Acolyte of Pain and Shattered Sun Cleric.
Those 3 plus the common posted by infare are what I would call ¨mush have¨ below rare. If you are going to craft rares then Argent Commander and Defender of Argus should take priority imo.
I'd craft Spellbreaker before I'd craft Ironbeak Owl, but that might just be personal preference. Shattered Sun Cleric is basic and thus doesn't need to be crafted.
thanks for the advice guys :)
