I have been playing an aggro version of hunter for faster games and because I like putting pressure on the board rather than taking zoo to the face, but I've found that at about rank ten I just run into decks that either kill me too fast or put up big taunt creatures and then I loose instantly. I have been looking for another deck to switch on and off with the hunter when I get board and would like something either midrange or maybe control. I wanted to play the druid, but I've tried every version I can think of and haven't found one that works for me because of the need to have innervate in the opening hand (and even then my 4-6 creature usually dies and then I can't make a comeback).
Miracle druid seems to be doing okay on ladder. The deck is probably on Hearthpwn somewhere. I think Lifecoach is the one who created it. It uses Gadgetzan Auctioneer, Moonfire, and Violet Teacher. Token/Ramp is really difficult in the current meta because they are just a little bit too slow if they don't get perfect draw (even then, it still might not be enough).

Most Druid decks will work, I like Tempo and the new Miracle. So is a Deathrattle priest, there are a couple anti aggro priest decks listed currently. But the most efficient would be Zoo or Hunter, although I despise playing them. Any of these with smart playing should take you to Legend.
All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible. - T. E. Lawrence
There are many decks that you might try. I recommend the following:
As Aggro, Zoo and Hunter are fast and efficient to climb ladder and don't require much skill.(best from r20-r10)
As Midrange, Undertaker Priest and Midrange Shaman are good because they tend to have higher winrates but they climb slower than Aggro decks. However, they require average skill.(best from r10 to r5)
As Control, Control Priest and Taunt Druid excell in this Aggro-heavy meta, tending to have the highest winrate of all decks. However, the skill required is quite high and the climbing speed is not the best.(best from r5-legend)
Handlock and Control Warrior are viable too, but they aren't very good in this Aggro-heavy meta unless you have excellent skills with them.
If you don't like playing hunter anymore, that's absolutely fine and plenty of the suggestions below can help you. If you feel like it isn't strong enough if certain match-ups though, I would instead suggest adding in tech cards to help with those match-ups. In particular, cards like Hunter's Mark, The Black Knight and Ironbeak Owl can help against big taunts.
You can also add in some control elements for your hunter, in particular Savannah Highmane or Freezing Trap to help against late game pressure from control decks.

you could try using a deck that requires slight brain activity.

This list still has the aggressive push, but can also close out a game with rag+alex
These guys usually do a meta report every now and then.

If you are tired of hunter try giving priest a go. It's pretty fun and tough to master but very rewarding if you play Priest right.
