As you know this game year start also brings new tournament format, Specialist.
This is a fresh new experience in terms of deckbuilding too, and online and local LAN tournaments in this format are already gong to start soon. Let's share your thoughts about classes and decks you think will be good in this format.
Primary deck will be fitting anti-aggro package of rush minions. Town criers, rabid worgens, Darrius.
Secondary deck will be aiming on control-heavy matches (right now I have most success with it on ladder). hacklebots, second omega devastator, ellek, Elysiana
Tetriary deck. Not sure yet, maybe anti-token with Geddon and pyromancers.
My ONLY issue with this format is that I probably won't ever get to play it because I don't play tournaments :(Unless Blizz finally finishes the long promised Tourney format):
That said, I think this pseudo-sideboard would add a lot of complexity to deck design.
The secondary deck, against heavy control, likely the match goes to fatigue, right? Why not instead of a second shield block, Boom's scheme? I know that card in general sucks, but in theory it COULD be better in this case, gaining more armor than shield block and not put you closer to fatigue.

Nice thought, but need to be tested.
For now I changed a bit planned decks. This "control heavy" is one I'm playing on ladder and its really strong. Hacklebots are crazy good in mirrors and shieldblock can help at the start of game if you pulled some serious threat. Also Barista feels like a great card in this deck too. So I would say that this control version will be my main aproach for tournament. Rush package deck will be needed against shamans/zoo's.

I think if you aim for the H´heavy Control/Fatigue matches its just better to play the new Card Archivist Elysiana.

If you think you'll hit fatigue, you are better off adding a card like Archivist Elysiana to your deck imo.

(Just for the case, here you can find format description: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=80JF8x6n3jc&feature=youtu.be )
As for me I have an idea to try control-bomb warrior in an upcoming online tournament of our country HS community.
Here is the core of 25 cards:
Primary deck will be fitting anti-aggro package of rush minions. Town criers, rabid worgens, Darrius.
Secondary deck will be aiming on control-heavy matches (right now I have most success with it on ladder). hacklebots, second omega devastator, ellek, Elysiana
Tetriary deck. Not sure yet, maybe anti-token with Geddon and pyromancers.
Looking forward for your ideas, guys :)

my 5 cents of consideration:

What about Archivist as a side option to replace the Bomb package in heavy control mirrors? (or against Shamans)
I tried having fun once. It was awful.
I think if you aim for the H´heavy Control/Fatigue matches its just better to play the new Card Archivist Elysiana.
Already playing Elysiana instead of shieldblock :)
Btw boom-scheme looks much superior than shieldblock in mirror matches. It usually gives 10-15 armor for me endgame.
Maybe anybody has also some plans to play online champs and has thoughts about other classes?

I do like the format,i Just Wish a player could play more than 1 class
