Hey guys! Never had a quest before so I was thinking about crafting one. Which one do you like the best?
What I'm looking for: I have good competitive decks right now (Spiteful Priest, Cube/Controllock, Odd Hunter/Paladin, Zoolock basically) so it doesn't have to be a super ranking deck. I know there's a few like Warrior and Rogue's quests that can be competitive, but I'm looking more for fun and interesting games. So a pretty good, standard deck that's fun to play.
What I have: I have spent a little money on the game and have a fairly extensive collection. I have most all commons and rares from the last 3 sets and classic. Some good epics and legendaries especially for Priest, Warlock, and Paladin, but I digress. I have a little over 4000 dust after crafting some Witchwood cards so I can probably make most things work.
IN CONCLUSION, please just let me know what your favorite quest decks are are why! Just maybe give me a deck or two, tell me why you like it, and list some of the most necessary cards for that specific deck.
Thank you so much for reading and any comments are appreciated!
I really don't recommend to you craft any quest, here why:
1- Are expensive and very niche, when work and this not happen often, is only one deck, much better spend the hard earned dust in something more versatile.
2- Quests are weak vs aggro, you start the game with one card less and skip your first turn, aggro always will be the more common decks you face.
3- It is easy to become out of the meta, the only really meta quest was rogue before the nerf and the winrate don't was that great.
If that is not reason enough to change your mind the best ones are rogue, warrior and priest.
I really want to try the paladin quest so bad because it actually looks decent. Galvadon and Lynessa are quite powerful and when you can Zola one of them, it's the icing on the cake! I don't have a deck for it but I'm sure you can find a good one easily.

I really wish it were. I love the concept, but even if you do complete it without already being near dead, Galvadon gets silenced far too often for it to work consistently (yes, Zola makes this matter less, but still... it's tough). I play it just for funzies. Not good enough fro the ranked world, alas.
All the quest suck (except quest Rogue vs. some decks). If you are loaded in dust, craft the one you think will be most enjoyable by looking at other play that deck, otherwise forget about it and craft a legendary that will take you to legend. Many such legendaries exist in the game right now.
I personally play The Caverns Below (crafted it this weekend actually) and I can tell you it's amazing. It absolutely kills Warlock and Taunt Druid, so if you're facing a lot of slow decks, I would recommend it. It loses to tempo mage and basically any paladin, but it's a fantastic control killer.
I also play with Jungle Giants, and although that one is definitely VERY expensive to run properly, it's a metric ton of fun. It does very well against slow decks such as Big Spell Mage and Taunt Druid, and while it also gets raped by aggro, I've found I can win some Paladin matchups more often than not if played well.
Open the Waygate was gutted by the rotation, and I have yet to see someone run it on ladder.
Unite the Murlocs is a niche card that I have very little experience with, but I've never lost to a Shaman quest deck, and I don't see people run it.
Lakkari Sacrifice is terrible, was terrible before we lost Malchezaar's Imp, which means it's probably beyond terrible now. Don't bother.
Awaken the Makers could probably be an option. I haven't seen anyone run it seriously, but there's cool deathrattle synergy with Coffin Crasher so who knows? Definitely not a competitive card tho.
The Last Kaleidosaur is just for memes lol. It seems to be a super fun card, and if you have Lynessa Sunsorrow or a good chunk of dust, and really don't care about winning that much, it could be an option. People like Kibbler love it, but I think it's mainly for the memes.
azrael is pretty spot on on all of the quests, but I think Paladin has potential. The new echo buff card is really great for quest completion and buffs in general are good at dealing with threats as long as you can keep stuff on the board. With 5*3 tries at stealth, chances are pretty good you'll get it. If you can last long enough, it also happens to be just cheap enough to play alongside Faceless Manipulator.
IMO, Lynessa should be bigger and more defensive. I would not put the two in the same deck. What I mean here is that Lynessa loves Spiked-Ridged Steed for example, but the quest prefers cheap stuff. This also affects the minions that you should put in each deck. Lynessa often wants a big buff and therefore is often forced to stick with smaller minions, whereas for the quest, you probably want a more mid-range style.
By the way, Lynessa is better, IMHO. Probably just because of spiked-ridge and blessing of kings.
Quest warrior without Baku is actually able to compete with basically all of ladder except for cubelock (which dominates ladder). The amount of taunt and removal tends to keep aggro and midrange (e.g. spiteful decks) at bay, and in the late game, the hero power helps as a win condition against any slower decks.

You didn’t read what he said before commenting. This is what he said:

I played against some priest with awaken the Masters. He ran Benedictus and baleful bankers, with twilight's call and anduin as a win condition. It must be the most boring deck in the world to play.
Quest druid is a really fun and strong deck to play, with several variants. It can have a tough time against aggro, but the recruit mechanic made quest druid viable. Once quest is complete, ALL the minions cost less than 4 mana.
know there's a few like Warrior and Rogue's quests that can be competitive, but I'm looking more for fun and interesting games.
Dont craft this one then.
Quest Rogue; Same reason as Quest Warrior. There aren't many ways you can build it either (limited deck options), which makes it a bit boring too in my opinion.
Quest Hunter; Limited deck options in my opinion.
Quest Mage, Quest Warlock; I agree with Azrael (they are not Viable).
Quest Priest, Quest Druid and Quest Paladin; These are the most fun quests to play and build around and somewhat competive. Out of these three i think Quest Priest got the most options how to build it followed by Druid (Minion based or Moonfire + Alexstraza) an dthen Paladin. I prefer playing quest Priest myself.

The man, the myth, the Legend.
(wait, I've only gotten rank 2, not legend)
Quest hunter is pretty fun, but not viable in ranked.

Hunter. Streamers rated it 5 stars. What can go wrong?
I really enjoy playing Quest Warrior, besides being the most competitive quest, rogue being the only other good one in my opinion.

Ok thanks for the comments guys, definitely considering

Personally, I think it depends on how many legendaries/dust you have available...
If your dust is limited, The Marsh Queen is a good option.
If you have Baku the Mooneater and a few warrior cards, the Fire Plume's Heart is the way to go.

Death to Aggro!
Awesome thanks for the info azrael!

Quest Pally is fun and really good but not as good as the rest of the Pally decks
Warrior quest is pretty good right now, I think a really good warrior deck will be found soon be it baku or quest or what.
Rouge is probably the next most playable as it trounces all control decks, even I thought about re-crafting it.
The rest are not in a good spot right now but druids can be viable and fun if you draw well.
Quests are bad right now, I won't suggest crafting them.
