www.tophearthstonedecks.com, has not only top meta decks, but recently invented or tried. Guidelines. Never disenchant legendaries, unless you have another copy, for other cards disenchant gold cards whenever you have already 2 copies normal of the card. Save up gold up from expansions. Avoid arena for at least 4 months to get to know the cards.
Remember bad cards now, may become great with the addition of new ones.
I know that you said you didn't like to do arena, but I would definitely suggest doing it, as it can be the most efficient use of gold to expand your collection. If you're consistently only getting 1 win maximum, that points to either bad drafting, bad play, or both. You can download (at least for PC, don't know about mobile) the Overwolf app which has a tool that helps with the arena draft to help you out with picking cards well. From there, just improve your playing. More experience will help with that. Don't worry if you don't rank up super fast. If you keep with it and work to improve, you'll hit 15 decently soon, especially if you're using well tested decks from here or other places.
Best advice I can give is pick a single deck, craft it, and play it. Face Hunter and f2p Spiteful Priest are good decks. Tempo mage is another good option.
The downside is ... playing the same deck nonstop is mind-numbing after a while. They also are not top tier, so depending on how competitive your personality is, they can be really frustrating. (it sucks to play your deck perfectly, and still lose ... sucks even more if you lose to someone that misplays ... but their deck is capable of carrying them).
I have been playing the f2p spiteful deck. I am still a few cards short of having the complete list, but I have it at Rank 12 now, and I am confident I can get it to 10 ... not so confident about getting to 5. Toast took the deck to legend, so the deck has the ability ... I don't.
The hardest part is dusting literally all your cards to complete a deck. I dusted Edwin, Warlock weapon, Paladin DK, and a few other legendary ... along with every other card almost, just to craft the deck ... and I am still missing cards. But, I would rather have one complete deck, than a bunch of scattered cards, and on a f2p account, you do what you gotta do.

I wanna glide down, over Mulholland I wanna write her, name in the sky I wanna free fall, out into nothin' Gonna leave this, world for awhile
It could have that function, but I've never used it (or been aware of it for that matter). It has a HearthArena tool that rates the quality of the cards during the draft and keeps track of synergies in the deck and can show a deck list during play. If you happen to be familiar with him, I believe Kripparian has used/uses it.
Honestly surprised I don't have any direwolf alphas. Also, Golakka crawler seems silly to craft since pirates are rotating out soon. Therefore, that card is losing a lot of its power.
I have a friend who is new to the game and its hard to start, but with face hunter you can get a good start. Most of all, do you daily quests and Brawl is a good place to get some extra packs.
Iff the quest of the day is not to your liking you can, only once a day, clear that quest to get another one that is possibly more to your liking.
Well, I downloaded the heartharena overwolf thing. I followed its advice and ended up with a deck rated 68.7. I was 0-3. I played to the best of my ability but ended up with a really bad attrition druid deck. I got screwed on draft so the app was no help at all. Wasted 150 gold which took me three days to get. So, three days of work down the toilet when I could have bought a pack. Never recommend arena again. It is garbage and that overwolf thing is no help at all. More than half my deck costs 5 or more mana, and I have no way to get more mana faster or drop stuff early.
Edit: Sorry, salty. I do see the benefit. I just got tilted from wasting the gold which, for me, takes a long time to get. I appreciate the help but RNG was not with me.
I guess I should have stated that the HearthArena rating should be used as a guideline, not exactly what you should pick. Unless you only had the option of drafting high cost cards, it's important to use judgment to think through how the deck would play out. I would have thought that the app would help with making sure your overall curve is decent, but I might be mistaken. It has been a little while since I've used it since I didn't like the pop-up at the end and didn't want to disable it. Sorry it didn't work out that well though.
I think it did the best it could. I got a junk draft. My options were Paladin, Druid, and Rogue so I picked druid in the thought of evolve or something. I got stuck with attrition because nothing good came up except for bonemare.
Hey there, if you want to add me, I'd be willing to spectate your games and help point out mistakes or help you win more. Never hit legend myself (best was rank 2), but I consistently hit rank 5 each month, have all golden heroes and have over 15,000 wins total. I've also had some local tournament wins over the past year (two 1st place, one 2nd place). And I can generally get at least 3 wins in arena without assistance from a drafting tool. Last month, my best arena was 9 wins.
FYI - you didn't actually waste 150 gold on the arena, since even with 0 wins you get a pack and at least 25-40 gold OR dust (or a common card). So, at most you were only out 25 gold since a pack costs 100. That's why people say to play arena. If you can get at least 3 wins, then generally your packs are costing less than 100 gold.
My battletag is Derek#13438 and I'm on the US server.

Quit complaining and just have fun with this game!
Cubelock is one of the most expensive decks to craft in the meta right now!
not really. 2 legendary in guldan and weapon and some 6-8 epics. 7k really isnt that bad for a top tier deck and most of the cards you need to craft for epics can be used in lots of different decks
Do all your daily quests. Click the X on ones that you can't do to get another.
Save up your gold and buy packs for the current xpac. Do all tavern Brawls every Wednesday.
Only spend dust on Epic or Legendary. Focus on the ones you want for your deck. Don't experiment.
Pick aggro decks to play. They're easier to learn and teach you how to count lethal. Don't waste your time on longer games. You're in this for gold not time.
Count the lethal and try to think what card draw will win you the game.
Always try and include Card draw in your deck. at least 2-3 draw/discover something.
2 Corridor Creeper. You don't need anything bigger than that. And limit your 5-6 mana cards. They will only lose games.
Think about how to play around decks. Dragon Priest? Duskbreaker etc.
Don't go more than 5-6 cards in any mana slot. You're either going to play yourself out of cards or have a bad draw.
Learn how to play arena. It takes time. Use the same guidelines above, and stick to aggro decks. Don't really matter what you pick, just fill each mana slot and stay away from too many big cards. Learn to play on curve and make good trades. Learn when to stop trading and go face. Try to make big health minions with synergy. Bonemare is good but not as good as 3 and 4 drops on curve.
Learn what is a good card. I say this because you know what beats you. You'll see it after a while. Corridor Creeper is a good example.
I started around GvG. I collected mechs because I thought they were cool, and then I started losing so I bought an adventure and then had a pile of good cards. Back then it was like this. Now you have to save gold for each expansion. I collect gold cards and pre purchase. I think if you want to be free to play and be good it is going to be a long time until you get there. If you spend 40$ pre expansion it's always worth it. Don't waste your time trying to build a deck that is not tier 1. You're going to lose a lot, and it won't be fun. Hearthstone is a fun game in that I can play just about every deck. I don't have Raza, or Velen. I had Jaraxxus but dusted him a long time ago. I didn't have Garrosh for a long time. My first Legend was Tirion. Best Card in the game, and I played it a lot. Every season I'd be back with Secret Paladin, Murloc, Healadin, Control, Dragon Paladin. Now he just sits there. I play Rogue more. Anyone can build a viable hunter deck and win games, all you need is 2 houndmaster and some beasts and 2 bow.

isn't overwolf just a thing for communication with others, which quickly got replaced with discord?
Watch streamers
Already said I get no pleasure from watching streamers. It is mind numbing. I learn via interaction.

I am f2p also and have made great use of his decks for ideas.
A couple of decks I used until recently are...
And
These should both be relatively cheap to craft

Do you know how much money 7K cost? $200 easy. And as OP mentioned he is a f2p player. As in free
