U probably should run 4 secrets in the deck. Get them off hydrologist and I would put 2x desperate stand in there too. Also aldor would be amazing in your deck. Finally I would suggest playing doomsayer and more removal instead of situational/bad early game cards, but I guess thats ur style.

I found that Desperate Stand was too slow and that Redemption did the same thing better. I also found that if I played both Redemption and Desperate Stand I would get TWO 4/1 taunts that if you killed one, it killed the other which wastes the Redemption or Desperate stand. I found them redundant with the point being to drop a 6 Abomination NZoth.
With Aldor, I've found that it really doesn't matter how big their minions are because with a full cycle of Abomination/Redemption/Getaway Kodo, we are talking 6 damage to the board and 12 damage from the taunt minion if they don't have removal in hand. So the Abomination does all the work if you play it correctly. The Abomination play basically works like Doomsayer but is less vulnerable to be removed without any benefit at all. At LEAST the Abomination does only 2 damage across the board. At MOST it does 6-10 damage depending on how many secrets you have from Hydrologist and the 4 in deck.

*meant to say shouldn't play the 4 secrets but I think you realised.
I get late game the abom is a madman, hence the snowball potential. Doomsayer is to play on turn 2-4 to provide the opponent from gaining too much tempo and dealing too much dmg before you can abom. Aldor similarly is for early game not late game.
The annoying part is that you included "really strong" in the topic thread. Which this deck observably is not. It's a downright lie, and your refusal to answer what ranks you're playing this at don't help.
Had you simply left it at "really unique", the reaction to this thread would have been completely different.
I have a Paladin deck with 2 x Corpsetaker, Grook-Fu, and 2 x BOK just so I can try and pull off a windfury devastation. I don't get it all that often, but is fun as hell when I do. I got to rank 8. I have now stopped, the ladder is too frustrating, and I never even expected to get this far.
For those who advance to rank 5+, I salute your patience... because even if you play a Tier 1 deck, it is still a living nightmare to play enough games, and win enough of them, to advance.
Best part of casual is always, "Screw this; Concede and move on."

Ah! That makes more sense. I can understand that play then. What would you recommend to remove from the deck to make space for those cards? I think the secret play is fairly important but maybe remove the Hydrologists?
Desperate stand is 1 extra mana over redemption (and its not like you are playing a mana efficient deck, you often have spare mana) and increase the conistency of the main combo by alot. I say that makes it a worth replacement. I you are playing enough aboms that you don't need to redemption and desperate stand at the same time, you will have plenty of chances. And this deck definately needs more card draw.

I understand that sentiment. I'll change the thread title if I can figure that out.

Well in an ideal world we are playing Abomination on turn 5 or turn 6 with a secret. Desperate stand, while true is only 1 more mana, makes it so that you have to wait until turn 7 to play Abomination with Desperate stand OR you can play two secrets on turn 3 and coin out Abom on turn 4 OR play two secrets on turn 4 and Abom on turn 5. I personally would rather play Abomination early and screw with his play than wait until turn 7.
Let me experiment a bit more and i'll suggest a version i'm playing. I'll highlight the cards I think are vital/really good and then the rest you can adapt to your own playstyle ^^
Why Abominations? Why Nzoth just for Abominations?:D This looks super weird. You play 3 card combo and pay 10 mana for one more dmg over Hellfire?:o
The reason why is because if you juggle 6 Abominations using secrets you end up dealing 12 damage to the enemy hero that is unavoidable. Then when you drop NZoth you bring back 6 more Abominations which means 12 MORE damage to the face that is unavoidable. That's 24 damage if you don't even attack. Couple that with the heals in the deck and you are sitting pretty. The whole idea is to deal as much damage that they can't stop as possible. Basically we're dragging them out to the deep waters and drowning them. AND it clears the board! that's 24 damage that goes through the board as well!
Pretty sure Black guards ability only hits minions. sorry friend

Don't mind me, just the UK National Champion.
Could you please answer my question from the first comment and tell us which rank you are playing this deck at?
How far have you ‘climbed’ the ladder?
Excellent deck, for struggling to obtain this season card back.
My arena stats!

My Midrange Buff Paladin Deck (29-12, good for climbing to Rank 5)
If you enjoy the deck, go nuts.
