Let's start off by congratulating the top-voted finalists of our "Gifts That Keep On Giving" competition. Fantastic work! And we'll be reaching out to our winner to help us determine what's in store for you all next week.
This week‘s theme comes from Telefonkabel, whose Ebb and Flow washes away its competitors in our "Evening the Odds" competition. It‘s the end of season 2 and Hearthstone is still abounding in gaps and untilled possibilities. Let‘s use this week to darn Blizzard‘s socks and turn our fervor to fine-tuning. After two very restrictive weeks, this week should be more open.
Entry Restrictions: Your card may not share its specific combination of Mana Cost, Class, and Card Type (minion, spell, weapon) with any existing card. (Example: You may not submit a 1-mana Shaman Minion because Dust Devil already exists.) Your card may not cost 10 or more mana. (We just did a Giants competition a few weeks ago.) Your card may not be of a Card Type not already found in its Class. (In other words, you may not submit Weapons for Druid, Mage, Priest, or Warlock.) Your card must be a class card. This wasn't an intentional restriction, but it just so happens that combining the above three restrictions means that no Neutral cards can be accepted for this competition. Note: We recognize that some cards of one Card Type can be said to"really" be cards of another Card Type because of the tokens that they spawn (examples: Living Roots, Noble Sacrifice, Upgrade!). Because we don't want to get into debate about how to evaluate this when it comes to your cards, we've decided not to worry about it.
New: We understand that the new Adventure happens to have closed up some of the gaps we started with this week. For example, Warriors will be getting a 1-mana Weapon and a 7-mana Minion! Not to worry, as long as the gap your card fills was open when we started, it is still legal. HOWEVER, if your card fills a gap that a new Adventure card will be filling and you're uncomfortable about how that may affect your chances, we understand if you'd like to submit something different. Message us, and we will "REMOVE" your first submission and you can submit something else without penalty.
That seems like a lot to take in, huh? Don't worry, I'm going to spare you all the pain of having to go through the collection manager and sort out what eligible gaps are missing for yourself. I've already done it for you! Open the Spoiler Block below for a comprehensive list of holes we're looking to patch up:
Druid Minions of cost 0-1 Druid Spells of cost 7-8 Hunter Minions of cost 0, 8 Hunter Spells of cost 7-9 Hunter Weapons of cost 0-1, 4-6, 8-9 Mage Minions of cost 0, 5, 9 Mage Spells of cost 0, 8-9 Paladin Minions of cost 0-1, 9 Paladin Spells of cost 0, 7, 9 Paladin Weapons of cost 0, 5-9 Priest Minions of cost 0, 8-9 Priest Spells of cost 7-9 Rogue Minions of cost 0, 7-8 Rogue Spells of cost 8-9 Rogue Weapons of cost 0-2, 6-9 Shaman Minions of cost 0, 9 Shaman Spells of cost 6-9 Shaman Weapons of cost 0-1, 6-9 Warlock Minions of cost 0, 8 Warlock Spells of cost 7, 9 Warrior Minions of cost 0, 7, 9 Warrior Spells of cost 6, 8-9 Warrior Weapons of cost 0-1, 6, 8-9
Competition Rules
We, the Fan Creation Forum Moderators, may edit and/or disqualify your entry if you neglect the competition's rules, so please read carefully. These measures are designed to ensure everyone has a fair and enjoyable experience during the contests!
You are allowed to submit one (1) entry per competition. Your entry must be a card of your own creation. You may add minimal comments to explain your card's design, balance, and/or qualities. You may not significantly alter your card once it has been submitted. (Although minor tweaks, such as to adjust balance or correct spelling errors, are acceptable.) You may not delete your submission post. Manipulating votes in any way is strictly forbidden. Any violators will receive a warning and a possible ban / disqualification from future contests. Any discussion of entries, ideas, and so on should take place in this week's designated Discussion Topic. This is the Submission Topic, and it is for submission posts and up-voting only. So called "troll entries" can be submitted but will not be able to advance to the final. Fun entries are OK, but outright, unbalanced parodies are not. If you're unsure, check with a moderator before submitting. You MUST upload your submission to a site that stores images, for example Imgur.com, Photobucket.com etc. This is for your own good as Hearthcards only keeps your image for a limited time and sometimes has problems resulting in lost images.
PSA: Don't attach your images. Insert them instead. It honestly gives your card a much better chance of being up-voted. Don't know how? First, you have to have your image hosted online (see the competition rules below). Then, copy the image's URL. Go to your post, and click the "Insert/edit image" button. It's the one that looks like this on the tool bar above the text box. Paste your images' URL where it says "Source" and presto! You've got yourself an inserted image. It's not against the rules to attach your images if you prefer, but we've had a lot of people asking us about this recently, so we wanted to make sure we included it in the Submission Thread from now on.
Competition Process
Entry Phase and Early Voting (Starts 20:00 UTC 5/November/2015, Ends 18:00 UTC 10/November/2015) It is during this Phase that you may submit entries to the Submission Topic. You may also, of course, feel free to give early up-votes to any submissions that you like!
Voting Phase (Starts 18:00 UTC 10/November/2015, Ends 18:00 UTC 11/November/2015) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be locked, so no more entries may be submitted. Instead, use this time to browse the submissions and up-vote your favorites!
Final Phase (Starts 19:00 UTC 11/November/2015, Ends 19:00 UTC 12/November/2015) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic will also be locked, and a new Poll Topic will go up. Discussion will be allowed to continue in the Poll Topic, and it will also include all the qualifying finalists and a 24-hour poll to decide the winner of the competition!
How do we determine the qualifying finalists? First, we'll take the highest-voted entry on each page of the submission topic. Then, we'll fill in the rest using the formula detailed here...
(ab) / (c) = x
Where, a = The total number of submissions on the same page as the submission. b = The total number of up-votes that the submission received. c = The total number of up-votes on the same page as the submission. x = The submission's final score.
The formula basically measures which cards stood out the most, with the necessary assumption that each page is about equal in overall submission quality. The bottom line is that, although entries on the earlier pages of the Submission Topic are much more visible and thus receive many more up-votes than entries on later pages, you don't actually have to rush to get your entry in as soon as possible because the up-votes end up being weighted by what page your entry ends up on in order to determine its final score. It will be the ~15-25 entries that receive the highest final scores (depending on the popularity of this week's competition) that move on to the Final Phase.
But wait, there's more! During each Weekly Card Design Competition, each Fan Creation Forum moderators will be given a Wild Card, which they can use to advance any one entry that they feel was initially overlooked or under-appreciated to the Final Phase, regardless of its final score. Wild Cards are our way of spicing things up a bit, but please don't ask to be given one or be upset if you aren't given one. These are just supposed to be fun. (Also, it should go without saying that, while we moderators are allowed to participate in the competitions, we are not allowed to benefit from Wild Cards.)
Rewards
To encourage your competitive spirit, we do of course offer a few rewards to competition winners: Their card forever immortalized in our Winners' Gallery! The power to choose the theme for a future competition! A unique Avatar Border & "Card Design Champion" Title, as depicted below!
It's different to Innervate, as it fills your existing empty/used mana crystals instead of giving you temporarily extra ones. It can't ramp you up, you must have used some mana in order to use this for replenishment only. Yes, it's strong, but I feel that it's in line with Innervate regarding balance.
Play it early to seriously mess with tempo, save it to mess with a dangerous turn (pally turn 6 or druid turn 9), or save to keep dragon synergy in your hand.
Craven Beast it's a perfect card to "Face Hunter" decks, and a good beast to combo with Ram Wrangler or Kill Command. But it's extremely bad to attack other minions in the late game.
A bit more survivability for warlock since using Life Tap in the late game is a dangerous choice, especially with all the aggro and burst decks floating around. More defense and demon synergy for warlock is something I would definitely hope to see in the future, current demonlocks die partly because the tapping does more harm than good. He's got some good synergy with most demons, including a cool interaction with Lord Jaraxxus. He could place him onto the field as a 3/15 taunt, but the games you can play with the jaraxxus decision are now more complex. Would you rather keep drawing & summoning demons or would you rather your Infernals have taunt? Tough choice and a dynamic decision.
This is the Submission Topic. The Discussion Topic is here.

Why this Deathrattle? Because of the lore and history of this bow! Look it up :)
This is the bow of the vanilla hunter epic quest in wow and was the best bow for a long time.
Paladin doesn't have any 1 Mana minions, especially ones that aren't pirates.

Here is my submission of this week.
Craven Beast it's a perfect card to "Face Hunter" decks, and a good beast to combo with Ram Wrangler or Kill Command. But it's extremely bad to attack other minions in the late game.
#ArenaWarriorsMatter
My first submission. There is no 5 mana mage minion, and I've always wanted to see spell damage mage more.
Helps Shaman keep up with agro and boosts totem Shaman.
Edit: Totally meant this to be a rare Shaman card, not a neutral card.
legend is like a marriage, one day it'll actually be there.
Works very nicely when your opponent upgrades the hero power with Justicar Trueheart,Charged Hammer,Shadowform...etc And escapes the effects of Saboteur.
summons Harvest Golem which summons Damaged Golem
sticky minion for Mech Mages and Mages in arena
A bit more survivability for warlock since using Life Tap in the late game is a dangerous choice, especially with all the aggro and burst decks floating around.
