Congratulations once again to Binza for winning WCDC 10.2. After throwing some darts against the wall, this is what stuck.
Competition-Specific Restrictions:
Your card must directly benefit from the Highlander theme; If your deck has no duplicates.
Your card MUST be a Legendary, and MUST be a more-or-less unique effect. This is completely subjective and up to discussion, but something like Reno the Relicologist is not considered "unique" since that effect is seen on stuff like Avenging Wrath and a lot of other cards, while something like Sir Finley of the Sands is, where only two cards upgrade a Hero Power.
Optional Flavor challenge: Make an explorer, preferably with a handlebar mustache.
If you’re wondering about how to make a solid “unique” effect, think about what’s available in standard; Sir Finley of the Sands is currently the only card in standard that provides the classic upgraded hero power effect also seen on Justicar Trueheart and Baku the Mooneater, therefore the effect is standard unique to Finley. To that extreme, Brann is the best example of anon-unique effect, as you could already jam a King Krush in your deck.
Competition Process
Below is a list of all the deadlines for this contest:
Preview Phase (September 1, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - September 2, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) The Discussion Topic is made available, previewing this week's competition theme. Entry and Early Voting Phase (September 2, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - September 6, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be unlocked. You may also, of course, feel free to give early up-votes to any submissions that you like! Voting Phase (September 6, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - September 7, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Submission Topic will be locked, so no more entries may be submitted. Instead, use this time to browse the submissions and up-vote your favorites! Final Phase (September 7, 2019 [10:00 PM CST] - September 8, 2019 [10:00 PM CST]) During this Phase, the Discussion Topic will also be locked, and a Finalists Thread will go up. Discussion will be allowed to continue in the Finalists Thread, and it will also include all the qualifying finalists and a poll to decide the winner of the competition!
Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. As a rule of thumb, please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

@nobravery If Blizz’ll repeat, so will we. Also, since our current team is full-on new... we don’t quite remember the 9 seasons in and out come before hand (though we’ll do our best to stay original).
@reilgun I’m not going to tell you they aren’t allowed, but be careful; As this isn’t YGO I’d refrain from making any spells that will have no effect without a certain deck-comp.
@wailor I’m of the mind that you could probably just say a Legendary Weapon from the past and that’d be both solid flavor and solidly defined text. However; I’d caution that Woecleaver was never meant to be wielded on turn five off a 5/4 body.
Blizzard missed opportunity to re-print Leeroy Jenkins this expansion as a team member considering he was their fan from LoE trailer. I tried to keep the flavor of original Leeroy with the same stats, but with Rush instead of Charge and effect only seen on Houndmaster Shaw i think.
Dalaran Heist Hero Powers were just marginally stronger than the regular ones. Therefore, I think paying 1/1 in stats AND the highlander requirement seems a pretty big cost for that effect. I'd either change the stats to 3 mana 3/4 or reduce the cost of the new HP to 1.
Besides that, the flavor should fit either Rise of Shadows or Saviors of Uldum, since the current one would fit TGT or KnC.

Cool card. As a nitpick, I'd probably remove Rush from Leeroy himself and make him just grant Rush to all minions (including himself).

Thanks for the advice! I like your wording much more, so I'm gonna use it.
About the balance issue: I was a bit worried too, but Woecleaver is a build-around card and the fact that there are a couple of very bad options (Skull of the Man'ari and Kingsbane) made me think it's alright. However, if other users think it's broken, I'll probably change the effect to "Discover and reduce the cost by X".
Absolute first idea I had when reading the prompt. So the idea is that this 'casts' all the spells in your deck in a random manner, similar to pre-nerf yogg it'll stop once it's battlecry is complete, not when the card dies. It may be a bit weak looking at it now as a 7 mana card maybe i'll bump the spell power or lower the cost but I thought this was a neat idea for big spell mage or make a new archetype of Mecha'thun mage that lets you clear your deck except for your hand once you have your win condition. Although also may just be a meme card. I'll probably come up with more ideas but just wanted input on this!
I thought about creating a card for one of those classes that never got the mechanic, like Rogue. So what do you think about the body. It's not an immediate effect, like most highlander cards, but one that longs for the rest of the game.
Thematically, the Kabal seemed like a reasonable faction to use this under due to it's use of the highlander mechanic for it's legendaries. Are the stats too weak for the effect?
Not sure if this is strong enough, has some use with most 2 drop elementals for shaman.. Could also be used with Mountain Giant for 5 giants with 10 cards in hand.
Don't forget to give feedback. I have seen only a little bit of feedback given. There *is* actually a rule that states:
As a rule of thumb, please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This is a little polarizing but given that you're forced to play a highlander deck the shenanigans this does is blunted. Does seem really strong though, as this is a massive swing turn that doesn't need any set-up unlike Shudderwork or Tess.
Very strong since it is almost like a reverse-Dr. Boom. Dr. Boom turns all Mechs into trades, but this card will turn all of your minions into anti-trades.
You say "rest of the game", so does that mean all Elementals automatically gain Echo as they enter your hand? If so, you don't need to specify elementals in your hand. Effect is interesting, and can enable some crazy combos, Fire Plume Harbinger being the main culprit for degenerate plays.
Basically allows you extra value by having access to two Hero Powers during your turn. The Hero Power activates as if it was yours. Normally its not too amazing, but if your oppenent uses a Death Knight or SOU Quest you can steal some value from them.

Is this the second or third time we had this theme?
THERE IS NO GAME.
Just to clarify, are spells and weapons allowed? I suppose a hero card could work too, if allowed, but that sounds awkward.
I was kind of hopeful that Harrison Jones would show up this expansion, so I made him :)
How do you feel about the fact that he discovers a cards from another set? A Wild set, to be more specific.
@nobravery If Blizz’ll repeat, so will we. Also, since our current team is full-on new... we don’t quite remember the 9 seasons in and out come before hand (though we’ll do our best to stay original).

Hi all,
What do you think about the wording of this card? Because I'm good a native English speaker, and I'm not sure about the wording...
Thanks :)
Just for fun, so all classes have Highlander support.
These are all the Hero Powers for all classes:
Paladin: Backup and Boon of Light
Warlock: Pain Split and The Pact
Druid: Lifebloom and Touch of Bark
Warrior: Invigorating Brew and Undermine
Priest: Distort and Soothe
Mage: Frostburn and Burning Wit
Shaman: Evolution and Refresh
Hunter: Opportunist and Pet Training
Rogue: Yoink! and Cut-less
Would this be unique enough?
Blizzard missed opportunity to re-print Leeroy Jenkins this expansion as a team member considering he was their fan from LoE trailer. I tried to keep the flavor of original Leeroy with the same stats, but with Rush instead of Charge and effect only seen on Houndmaster Shaw i think.
I'd reword it to "If your deck has no duplicates, Discover a minion and give its stats to all minions in your hand and deck."
That way, it's shorter and it might fit in four lines (which is the de facto max length)
What about making it so that the Discover effects give you all three options? I think it's cooler that way.
Cool card. As a nitpick, I'd probably remove Rush from Leeroy himself and make him just grant Rush to all minions (including himself).
Thanks for the advice! I like your wording much more, so I'm gonna use it.

Summon the Murmys, Summon the Doomsayer, end turn. Everything dies and you get 6 1/1's and a 7/1...
Would like to get some feedback with this :D
Just not so sure if those effect is unique enough
The riddles are temporary effects that last for one turn, thinking about Loatheb. I think i will have to do some fixing on the wording tho.
Absolute first idea I had when reading the prompt. Weekly Card Design Competition 10.15
"Former Classic" basically means once-Classics that get sent to the Hall of Fame: Ice Block, Doomguard, Ragnaros the Firelord, and so on.
I'd say "past Classic card" or "Classic card from the past," but none of them seemed to make sense.
My ideia for this week: sacrifice a space in your board and your hero power for a possible strong effect for the rest of your game.
I thought about creating a card for one of those classes that never got the mechanic, like Rogue. So what do you think about the body. It's not an immediate effect, like most highlander cards, but one that longs for the rest of the game.

Not sure if this is strong enough, has some use with most 2 drop elementals for shaman..
Could also be used with Mountain Giant for 5 giants with 10 cards in hand.
Missed the Elemental Tag on this one XD
Don't forget to give feedback. I have seen only a little bit of feedback given. There *is* actually a rule that states:
I feel like this is an unnecessarily complicated card, that does a whole lot of stuff but is very slow for a turn 10 play.
I like this, good effects.
This is a little polarizing but given that you're forced to play a highlander deck the shenanigans this does is blunted. Does seem really strong though, as this is a massive swing turn that doesn't need any set-up unlike Shudderwork or Tess.
Maybe a "Hall of Fame card from the Classic set"?
Wording doesn't work on Earth and Fire, they need to be like the Wind one. "Have Immune until your next turn" for example.
Very strong since it is almost like a reverse-Dr. Boom. Dr. Boom turns all Mechs into trades, but this card will turn all of your minions into anti-trades.
This is an extremely disruptive effect that sees no counterplay. I'm not sure I like this all that much, I'm afraid.
