Piracy is a Rogue card that captures that pirate flavor in art, but also in theme. A spell that can steal your opponent's weapon is incredibly strong, especially if you can get off the combo and gain some armor to further stall for combos.
Paladin is the one spread class that lacks a one-turn attack spell a la
Bloodlust
or
Savage Roar
. So I made one that is weaker offensively, but with a ton more defensive utility. It synergizes amazingly with heal decks generally and
High Priest Thekal
specifically. It also evokes Alexstrasza's character pretty well I think.
Could be balanced a bit more but I like the idea that the uninjured pirates abandon the ship. Basically a 5 mana Vanish in some situations which makes it good against decks that run small creatures but tend to be bad against decks that run big ones. I think it might still be too strong.
2. Targeting is available in each phase of the spell.
3. The Priest spell will fire first. If you were to pair say Mind Control with Conjurer's Calling and cast it on a Mage's Mountain Giant, you will get the MC effect, Conjurer's Calling on the giant, and a regular single-use copy of Conjurer's Calling.
4. Card's values recall the costs of the Netherspite Historian and Drakonid Operative's health and attack. The armor also works for Warrior matches.
