First time reaching the final poll (sorry for the typical rooky spam).
Anyway my personal favourites are the hunter Ranger (which if she was implemented, she would single-handedly carry baku hunter) and Will of the Wisps, because it's very flavourful and Toble made a nice flavour text.
[edit] Kinda sad to see so few cards reached the final poll. Last time there were 12 (and more valid entries, but still).
I feel like Darkforest Ranger should be a Legendary card with that card text. It doesn't make much sense as Rare?
My favorite is Edward the Odd, but I also voted for the Gnoll Trapfinder, Divided Conqueror, and Will of the Wisps. The latter two are probably overpowered and underpowered respectively, but I just like them thematically.
One card I don’t understand is blazewing as it can’t combo with Rok’ Dehlar ( might be misspelled) as Rok ‘ Dehlar is 7 mana and therefore odd stopping blaze wings ability from working with it, cool card if it was swapped to be for odd cards though and great designs for all of the cards
I didn't like this week's theme because I don't like this even/odd mechanic Blizzard is pushing this expansion. Feels very forced and artificial. I voted for Remulos and Edward the Odd which are cool and make the most sense (though Edward's card text implies that he would go back on top of your deck if you have it in your opening hand).
Shocked I made it. Last time I checked I had 0 votes. Thanks for the votes!
For anyone curious, my card works with Wisp, Wispering Woods, and (in wild) Dark Wispers. Played with a single wisp, its a 2 mana 2/2. If you play Will of the Wisps twice or start pumping out multiple wisps then YOU CAN KILL ARCHIMONDE.
Trying to work with this theme made me realize just how much I actually dislike the "if your deck contains only odd/even..." as a mechanic. Genn and Baku are fine, but I agree with Cheese (and others) that the additional cards just feel forced.
Also, are we no longer doing front page posts for the submission thread? Or is it just an issue of competition for front page space during the reveal period for the new xpac?
Yay I made it again! And once again, my submission looks so boring compared to some of the other entries. Oh well, I'm happy to be here. Thanks for your votes!
My thoughts on the other entries: * Darkforest Ranger and Dividing Conquerors look overpowered. Dealing 3 (and easily more - Clockwork Automaton) damage a turn for 2 mana to any target is nuts. Halving the cost of your deck, even moreso. * Edward is fun but giving agro odd Paladin that body on turn 1 is pretty strong, too. * Will of the Wisps wins for flavor and feels balanced. * Gnoll Trapfinder looks like it exists just so you have a reason to put the spellstone in your deck, but is otherwise a good and balanced card. *Blazewing (which is a phoenix and should be an Elemental, but its a Hunter card...) only exists so you can put To My Side! in an even deck...I don't like that idea. It feels cheap to have a Legendary just to fit another card into a deck its not meant for. * Trickster... I don't understand its purpose, and I don't like the idea that many submitted of having cards that fit both even- and odd-decks.
Here's my personal opinion on each card, sorry it's not a witty parody of each card :p
Darkforest Ranger: I am lenient in power level of cards when voting, but this card is definitely pushing it. As thepowerofcheese said, dealing 3 damage a turn (Darkbomb every turn) seems pretty insane, add to the fact that you can reliably draw this card most games since its not a legendary like Prince Keleseth. While I like the idea of the card, I think a balance change would be needed to sway me on voting for it.
The Dividing Conquerers (Voting): This card does not seem that absurd in power level as some are saying. Like most card in this comp, you want a powerful effect on these cards since you are sacrificing half of your card collection. The power level seems fair or even lowish given that it only effects cards in your deck (see Druid Quest), the fact that Shaman does not have enough card draw to capitalise on the effect, and that you are actually disabling your Murkspark Eel. I like the card a lot (enough to vote for it), but would have liked it better if it applied to all future spells so it would synergize well with Hagatha the Witch.
Mysterious Trickster: I don't personally find this card interesting (am a little confused actually), and the power level seems very low in general.
Edward the Odd (voting): Simple and fun idea. Again, does not seem to powerful given that, if included in an Aggro Deck, you would have to sacrifice Call to Arms. Definitely a vote from me!
Remulos, Son of Cenarius: I get the idea, but have never personally been a fan of this type of card. My best comparison is to Patches the Pirate, which propels the player's board control forward w/out using a card from your hand (free 1/1 essentially). In this case, you propel in mana advantage without using a card from hand. The difference with Baku, Genn is that you don't get an immediate advantage until you spend mana on your Hero Power, which is somewhat comparable to using a card from hand. My suggestion to fixing this card would be having the text say: 'Start of Game: If your deck has only odd cost cards, your first Hero Power also gives you an empty mana crystal.'. I am also confused if you meant for the crystal to be a turn only one or an empty one. I'm assuming its empty in my suggested change, but if its for a turn only then that probably wouldn't work.
Will of the Wisps (voting): While I feel there is a lack of wisp card to make this card worth playing. I still love the idea and flavor enough to give it a vote. If Paladin was not so broken atm, this could be easily substituted into their class and apply to Silver Hand Recruits.
Gnoll Trapfinder (voting): This is definitely my favourite card of the bunch. It makes up for the void of Secrets if you were to make an odd Cost deck and seems perfectly balanced while doing it. An easy vote from me!
Blazewing: I hate how this card completely nullifies the work needed to make To My Side! work, it feels like cheating in a way. I completely side with thepowerofcheese on this, having a legendary to make one card works seems kinda out of place and unnecessary.
I forgot to submit for this week, so I'm gonna assume I would'a won had I done so lol :P
I hate to pile on, but Blazewing mirrors what I (and Shadows) said regarding those who sought to undermine the Odd/Even mechanic with "your even cards also count as odd" and the like. If you can put minions in a no-minion deck, then what was the point of creating the no-minion restriction? :/

Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
I agree. It was very much like the "if your deck contains no duplicates" week, which was filled with just a bunch of OP cards that didn't really work with the mechanic, because, well, there isn't much to be done with the mechanic.
Given this, I will be voting for the entries that interact with the mechanic in some way, and only those entries. Namely, The Dividing Conquerors (because it actually matters that it's even), and Gnoll Trapfinder (because it compensates for the lack of secrets in an odd-only Hunter deck).
Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.
* Trickster... I don't understand its purpose, and I don't like the idea that many submitted of having cards that fit both even- and odd-decks.
May I defend my card :D
His purpose is to give you some helpful tools based on your needs along the way. On the one hand you have heal (4/8 armor), on the other - small single target removals. I've purposely designed them both as weak versions of already existing cards, because I figured that otherwise the card would be way too strong in a traditional miracle deck. I mean, you get two relatively cheap spells, which you can combine with the auctioneer. Maybe I made the card slightly underpowered, but about that later.
About the second sentence - well I personally find the "If your deck has odd/even-Cost cards"-mechanic to be cliche. It was very original in Baku/Genn, but with the forced support it kinda became annoying and boring. The thing, which I really like about my card, is how you manipulate your hand, which fits the rogue class perfectly. They are the combo class after all, they do some wicked shenanigans, which hit you out of nowhere. Also the person on the art is Loki, who is the god of trickery and mischief. So imho the flavour and the thematic are there.
I'm not a professionalist, but I think that I can name the 2 flaws regarding the trickster:
1) This is how the card should have looked like and it probably makes more sense now. I got kinda sad to ditch it, because I felt in love with the idea of manipulating your hand, so I reword it. Maybe I had to buff the tokens, because now it's harder to get the benefit out of the trickster and you only get 2 weak cards, which aren't that worth it, so my bad.
2) Camouflage? What, how, why? While I don't have anything against rogues getting some heal, this doesn't look connected with a trickster's abilities. It would have been more fitting to use "Disguise", "Cloaked" or maybe "Distraction" (and to summon a pigeon with taunt). Because I understand, that the current version is very confusing with the 4 armor effect.
Inb4 in order to make the text less confusing, I could have written - If your hand has odd-Number of cards, then X. Otherwise Y - but you realise, that it would have become hard to read.
Most cards are quite difficult to assess in a vacuum, but feel lackluster. The huge differences in power level most probably only reflect that no one has a clue how powerful the odd/even mechanic is going to be. We should have the same competition 2 months into the expansion!
I'm shocked to see Blazewing among the finalists. The idea I was working on wasn't reaching a satisfactory state, so I tilted and posted that on a whim. I did like the idea of Control Hunter with minions, and was pleased to see that staples like Savannah Highmane, as well as newer cards like To My Side! and Emeriss were even-costed, as well as the secrets. But I put so little thought in it, I didn't even realize the cost of Rhok'delar was odd (with all the meanings of the word). I mean, not until five minutes after posting. But then it was too late, I just forgot all about this stupid card.
Until now ^^ but what on earth is it doing here? I chuckled at Cogito's Professional Review ;) (I know she's not the first one who mentioned it, though) It's true it should be an Elemental and not a Beast, but I struggled to find a good Beast picture and as I said, it was kind of a rush submission. To my credit though, Phoenix are listed under Beasts in the wow lore site I looked at.
Well, it's a bit disappointing for all the weeks I put much thought into my submission, and it gathers 2 votes. But I won't spit on a finals qualification (although I just did, kind of... ^^) and I'm still voting for it, who knows? :p
Maybe voters like seeing a Phoenix go through an identity crisis? Lol
Anyway, i like the Remulos idea a lot, but that being said, the restriction is probably not enough to make it balanced on its own. But the flavor of the card is rly rly good.
