This is a pretty interesting expansion idea. There are of course some balancing issues and wording problems, but overall I have to say that I am very impressed by people doing this sort of thing. If only there was a seperate version of Hearthstone with the communities custom classes and expansions, that would be so cool. But ranting aside, great job man!
Wow I gotta say I've been impressed by 2 things when I saw this thread.
1. Your cards look great and locations are fairly interesting. I've seen many iterations of people trying to come up with ways of implementing them in Hearthstone and yours is certainly the one I like the most. The fact that only one can exist at a time and both you and your opponent can interact with it as well as change it makes it a very interesting concept. I'm curious as to how exactly this would work in game. It wouldn't occupy a minion spot on the board right?
2. Why is no one posting in this thread? Expansion threads seem like the best places to discuss card balance and creativity with other card creators and normally they're rather empty compared to other threads with (in my opinion) less interesting topics.
I'll be taking some time to review some of your cards later on today. Feedback is very important for expansion creators since even blizzard expansions aren't made by one person so it's very easy to outlook stuff.
wait wth when did this gain so much attention from all of a sudden
Oh my god, those are such kind words from you guys! Thank u all from the positive feedback-ey! Seriously, I have no idea why this gained so sudden attention!
I remember seeing your expansion alex, it's great too! I think I gave you feedback on something like, a long time ago, I don't remember though, but going to awnser your question-ingies, or whatever they are XD.
1. Nope, it won't occupy a minion spot, but you can't place a Location on the same Location. It would be just change how the battlefield looks (and also apply it's constant or instant effect), and you can see which Location is in play by zooming over the battlefield/board.
2. No idea either. I remember asking once for like, 2 days later after I finished my Expansion, still, I'm glad it came, but better later than never!
And about the feedback, first of all, I'm going to change Clash of the Titans (Rogue) because of how broken and unfun it can be. Also probably going to change Spider Nest (Neutral) art. But thanks for taking your future time to write all this.
I can see some shenagagins with Gluth when accidentally summoned by another class or when not expected...
Actually Gluth is a token, the Location is the card that summons it, you can't summon it accidentally. (But either way you can steal it and gain your life-time Tamagochi)
Additionally, changes have come! Buff for Spider Nest and "Change man idk if this is right" to Clash of the Titans. Since of... personal change!
Man, Clash of the TItans is the most complex card I have ever made DX, halp meh.
Actually waiting to load for updating the Spider is harder than I expected XP.
Holy Armor: I'm actually surprised this card isn't in the game yet. A simple design for a secret that works well. You could say it's the same as Noble Sacrifice but this one only triggers with minions and synergizes with cards like Light's Sorrow and Bolvar. I personally would change the name since it doesn't make much sense for it to be some kind of armor if no one is specifically wearing it. Something involving the word protection would be more fitting.
Spiritfin: Cool concept but I can't see anyone running this. If you're playing both murlocs and silver hand recruits your deck is pretty aggresive so you probably don't need lifesteal. Still it's pretty good in arena and in some specific situations it can turn the game in your favor.
Stormwind Protector: Very good card. As long as you have 2 minions on the board it's pretty decent and it could get scary in the late game. At first I thought increasing the attack wasn't the best thing for this kind of minion but actually when you take into account the taunt it makes a lot more sense and makes the card more flexible. You can use it defensively against aggro or as a very scary high attack minion that CAN'T hide behind a taunt because it has taunt which is actually what makes it balanced.
Perseverance: Seems good at first glance although the fact that Ancestral Healing is 0 mana makes me doubt if this card would be playable. I understand it can't cost one because then it would be better than Hand of Protection.
Uldaman: Nice throwback to Keeper of Uldaman. It seems very powerful since in the late game you can play anything you want after it because it would cost 3. But I don't still have a lot of intuition about locations and the fact that they can easily be replaced by your opponent makes this somewhat balanced.
Time Gheist: You can imagine that this effect is going to trigger almost every time since you wouldn't run it without any locations and by turn 6 there's probably one in play. Crazy synergy with Uldaman, 3/3 chargers would be very good.
Camp Stormwind: That one could easily get out of hand. Thank god you can only have 7 minion because otherwise this would be very broken.
Behind the Mask: This card is great! The flavor is really good and the possible interactions make it very interesting.
Ursan, the Last Protector: It's pretty good. Good synergy with Behind the Mask and Uldaman, which allows you to play it very early on. I think i see where you're going with this new dude pally deck and I really like it.
The Insatiable Hunger: Wow, that's a risky card if I've ever seen one. It could win you the game but if your opponent manages to kill every minion except Gluth you die. Is there any reason this is a paladin card or is it just because of the synergies with flooding the board?
Ok, that's all of the paladin cards. Overall I have to say that I'm really impressed with your designs. The cards have very interesting synergies that justify them being part of an expansion. Some people just drop some random cards that don't work toghether and call it an expansion just because it sounds cool but you did the real job. Congrats on your great work so far!
Are you actually going to review the entire set one by one each day?! That's too much sacrifice of 12 days, heck, maybe 13 for christmas coincidence even thought it already happened.
Spiritfin: Actually remember that Murloc's constantly buff each other's Attack, so this would get a bigger life-gain, still, not too much to say about this opinion. Because it's actually for the Silver Hand Recruits, still can get pretty insane IMO.
Lol and it also has DIvine Shield on top of that
Perserverance: I think so, Annoy-o-Tron saw play when it was out, so I'm sure this will too. Actually, it was balanced around that card, since you use the healing and need a minion, without making it too weak or too strong with even basic/big minions.
Glad you got the throwback of Keeper of Uldaman ;P, one of the 1st cards I made for this expansion.
The Insatiable Hunger: Synergy with flooding the board, otherwise it would fit better in Hunter or Warlock flavour-wise. Though now that I think of it, I should make the effect "At the end of each turn" instead of at the end of your turn for more risk! (Because you can actually play minions before it kills you, especially considering your Hero Power)
Thanks for the positive comment, definetely going to return to you the favour someday, because I'll be kinda busy during the year with y'know what it's so obvious it spends all year.
I opened Paladin and loved the creative design of all the cards, especially Gluth and his location. Then I saw Mage. That Hollow Knight reference made me extremely happy. Rest of it is also incredible, great work!

Some seriously cool ideas/concepts in here. Blizzard give them a job already!
I never wander into Fan Creations but I'm blown away, such cool stuff!

Holy Armor is now a card.
Boi this just passed through my mind until now:
I know the Holy Armor one, but that one was far too done before XPThe joke is you.
