We have whittled down ~160 valid entries to just 16of the community's favorites. This was a surprisingly difficult theme to moderate. Beyond the one that's been discussed before, there are several entries here that I erred on the side of leniency for, mostly because none of them seemed to be intentionally trying to subvert any rules with their questionable inclusion of the word Mana Crystals.
Having said that, there's a lot of entries I want to vote for in this final, a lot more than usual I feel. Really interesting effects on display.
I knew Dragon Tamer was the right call; nice one LordofBots :D Congrats to everyone else, too, of course.
Edit: I personally wasn't too keen on the idea that incorporating The Coin counted as including the phrase "Mana Crystals" in your card. Yeah tokens count, but the token in question isn't even a custom idea. That said, I am obviously in the minority, considering the aforementioned Dragon Tamer made it through, and various others had a decent amount of votes.
...I also voted for Dragon Tamer to get in, so my stance is shaky.
Behold, foolish interlopers! I am commanding this mortal to spread the will of the Scourge throughout the interwebs, encouraging you to seek out me, Archlich Kel'Thuzad! Now coming to you as the tenth class of Hearthstone!
I am a finalist in this Class Creation Competition, so if you could give it a look I would be greatly appreciative <3
Page 8 got 2 people through, more like RIP Page 2, we tore each other apart there. Lots of real good entries all hanging around within 10 votes of each other.
A lot of pretty good finalists this time around, good luck to everyone.
Here goes my review:
Gadgetzan Investor (5/5): The card as a whole is pretty good, nice flavor, balance and everything. Only small problem i have is that rogue is not about getting empty Mana Crystals, but it is incorporated well into the design and flavor of the card, so im ok with it in the end.
Spiritual Procrastinator (5/5): Decent card for relatively any shaman deck. Good flavor, good effect.
Dragon Tamer (5/5): Dragon Tamer Soraka confirmed, yaaaaaaay! :D Cute card, good balance and all, just its kinda wierd u get a coin for holding a dragon, as i said about this card before, i suppose it doesnt rly "have to" make sense, since most of "if you are holding a dragon" cards make zero sense with the effect they provide, so w/e :) Cute card!
Astral Beam (3/5): I still think its kinda a weak card, i mean i get it, it has to have some kind of cost attached to it and more so since its a druid card and Naturalize drawbacks and all that, but man, it does feel like basically a super win more card to me, which is not a bad thing i suppose, im just rly torn about it. Without actual playtesting (which obviously cannot happen) im not rly sure what to think about this one. I think u did a good job balancing it as well as u could, im just not too excited about the card, thats all.
Felemental (2/5): This card is strong AF, even if it read "Battlecry: Destroy on of your Mana Crystals." that card would be very much playable, so ... i dont know :P Art, name and flavor r good and i like the elemental direction, but it rly seems too OP.
Kil'rek (4/5): I do like the card, art, flavor and all is rly good, but might be a little scary in an aggro deck.
Bleeding Hollow Warrior (3/5): I suppse its not as strong as Felemental, tho i can draw the same argument, if it read "Battlecry: Destroy one of your Mana Crystals." (which is what it would do on average basically), it would most likely still be played. I kinda like how u went about it, incorporating the Mana Crystal wording into the card, tho it still doesnt rly seem like a warrior effect (apart from enrage ofc). Btw, small typo "...start of your turn.", not "turns" :p
Nether Aspirant (5/5): Good card, balance, art. The deathrattle wording still bothers me, but thats just my personal thing i guess :P
Blasting Furnace (?/5): My card. The best one, obviously. Muhahahaha :P
Prosperity (1/5): I like the idea of this card, but lets be real, the card reads "Gain an empty Mana Crystal.". Period. If your opponent wants to take an advantage of this, he will basically help u ramp even more, never be able to catch up anyway, this card is just waaaaaaaaaay powerful.
Latent Lightning Fanatic (5/5): I like this card, cute, flavorful, turns disadvantage into a possible advantage, nice! It doesnt even matter its plastered on a murloc, could be on anything and this doesnt disrupt the flavor of the card, so well done.
Ethereal Manipulator (5/5): I rly love this card, very interesting ability and the design is well put together. Incorporates the "ramp" into a mage class in a sneaky way. Good job! Tho i would have liked it to be an epic card, not rare :P
Brass Squire (3/5): Interesting idea, tho it has flavor for paladin playstyles (buffin a minion), it doesnt make much sense to be a paladin effect. Im not entirely sure about the balance either, i mean if u play it on curve and your opponent kills it, u basically got 1 Mana Crystal, if it survives, the worst thing is u will stay at 4 Mana Crystals ... but u can give it a buff and ramp up quite fast. Obviously its a pretty shitty card to get later in the game, but still, the early advantage it can provide is very scary.
Viper Sting (3/5): I rly like the idea of this card, but cant decide if its too strong or too weak. Most of the other hunter secrets u can check for without playing a spell or u can just play a spell as your last card. Honestly, dunno.
Diamondroot (4/5): I like the versatility it provides, if u didnt draw this card yet and ur on T8+, u can decide, if u want to make a play with what u have or have this summoned instead. Tho the "mana crystals" instead of "Mana Crystals" is rly inexcusable, shame on u, sir!
Tiny Infestation (0/5): This is a rly poorly executed attempt on a joke card. It has been done properly several weeks ago. This just tries to take another swing at it, but fails miserably, since this weeks rules force the card to alter some of its wording and the result is just awkward, we know what u intended, but u didnt rly deliver. Also once was more than enough, so no thank you ... honestly, the part that saddens me the most is that ppl still voted for this ...
This is the most inventive week I've seen in awhile, I'm glad I got back into this competition. It's really hard to choose a favorite with all the new-fangled concepts, but I've got reviews to do, so let's get on that...
Gadgetzan Investor - 2.5/5 - Inventive and interesting, but ultimately I feel it does kind of subvert the general idea of rogue. Balance-wise, it's a weird gamble over whether it's balanced or not. Go second, and it's super power. Draw a coin, super powerful. Not so much otherwise.
Spiritual Procrastinator - 4/5 - This card's just super fun for the concept, and I've never seen a concept like this anywhere else on the site or Hearthcards. I think if you can coin into it and then play Feral Spirit then it's ok, otherwise it's just a decent body with a good effect if it procs.
Dragon Tamer - 2/5 - Neat, I just don't really see a world where Rogue starts running a dragon variation. Twilight Drake? Maybe?
Astral Beam - 5/5 - This is one of the coolest destroy concepts I've ever seen, and I may just have to steal it. Druid traditionally has destroy effects with heavy downsides but this is the most interesting, most beneficial one I've seen yet. Most of them can screw you with variance, this one let's you play defensively and all the problems are under your control. Nice work!
Felemental - 3.5/5 - This get's a high score simply because it does something interesting with elemental synergy; I'm not convinced it would see play, though.
Kil'rek - 3/5 - I don't personally think 3/4 worth of stats is worth the downside. I think it's balanced, mind you, just not worth the downside. Good art and flavour though!
Bleeding Hollow Warrior - 2/5 - This is another instance where a better body I don't think makes the downside worth it. It's no Bittertide Hydra.
Nether Aspirant - 3.5/5 - It's pretty neat, but I'm not sure the synergy with Bloodreaver Gul'dan does enough to justify it, especially against other demons. This is a case where the body is pretty important, though.
Blasting Furnace - 2/5 - See previous entries for my thoughts on body.
Prosperity - 3.5/5 - It's pretty neat, I just can't think of a deck that would run it. Maybe in a meta dominated by aggro it would work for a heavy control deck? I dunno. What with priests and rogues I would feel weary running a 1-mana spell. Ironically this spell would make quest mage great though.
Latent Lightning Fanatic - 4/5 - Whoo, that's a mouthful! This is a more balanced Tunnel Trogg, and might honestly inspire a decent control/overload shaman, but that's speculatory. I do really, really like the design though.
Ethereal Manipulator - 5/5 - THIS IS SO COOL HOW I HAVE NEVER SEEN A CONCEPT LIKE THIS BEFORE. More soberly, I will say it could be very slow, perhaps too slow, but with a smaller body it could probably be abused. Glacial Mysteries loves this card.
Brass Squire - 3.5/5 - I think it's a bit too risky, but hey, it's neat.
Viper Sting - 3.5/5 - I don't have too many feelings about this one, just a question; How would this interact with Astral Communion?
Diamondroot - - - - - I put this one up, no score, I'm just glad it passed through! Kil'rek was starting to really spook me.
Tiny Infestation - 1/5 - It's not totally obvious but this card is super unbalanced. That and I don't think infestation cards are that inventive this far in, I've seen so many by now
The finalists are pretty good this time around with a lot of unique and interesting ideas; I have trouble deciding my vote, apart from Felemental (which is the best, of course).
I do have a question about Gadgetzan Investor, though: if you play a Coin when you have 10 Mana Crystals, do you get Excess Mana? Because in Miracle Rogue, that could be bonkers.
I did not notice that until you said something, and now I can't un-see it lol. That is totally Dragon Tamer Soraka :)

If both players play this card every turn, actually nothing happens. Let's say you play this on turn 1, your opponent plays it as well. You're now on 3 mana, but if you want to play it again you're at 2 mana again, and so on. And if you don't play it again, your opponent will have the same amount of mana to spend on his next turn. The real value of this card kicks in once your opponent decides not to play it again, something an aggro deck would do since they want to play minions as soon as possible and since a big minion is generally better than a few low cost one.
It's also a really bad card against Quest mage, Elemental Mage and Raza Priest.
May also serve as a Mill Druid tool since on turn 10 your opponent would never want to play it otherwise they would draw a card with Excess Mana, basically reducing his hand size to 8, but that archetype as a Druid has never really been a thing.
The druids deck is designed to get to high mana fast, so even as an enemy control deck, you only play into his hand by using it.
Astral Beam - Excellent removal. Its downside make it in line with other forms of Druid's hard removals. It would have been excellent in Warlock too.
Blasting Furnace - Well-designed early-game minion which has synergy with Tunnel Trogg. Also Mech Shaman pls.
Latent Lightning Fanatic - A flavorful card that still has uses.
Honorable Mentions:
Kil'rek - See what I said in the discussion thread.
Ok, I see you've received overwhelmingly positive feedback for this. I like the base concept too but I'm suprised nobody noticed how utterly broken the card would be with this statline. An invincible 3/4 on turn 3 in zoo ? Pls. Yes, you would lose Mana Crystals but zoo has a low curve so it doesn't matter, also it's unlikely that you would lose more than 1 crystal from this if played on curve. This shouldn't have vanilla stats, or it needs to have very low health to make it more risky. 3mana 3/2 or something like that would be better.
That said, given what I know and expect of the voting preferences of the greatest number, I expect Gadgetzan Investor to win with a large margin.

The card is not invincible tho. It dies after your opponent has destroyed all your Mana Crystals.
And as far as i recall, then Zoolock nowadays actually play with several mid to lategame cards, like DK, Bonemare, Scalebane, Doomguard, you get it. This would make all your win conditions basically useless. And a reduction in Mana Crystals would mean that using one of Zoo's strongest tools, the Hero Power, would be way more costly than it already is.
I don't think it would be anyway nearly as busted as you think it would.

And page 2 got no entry in. 3rd week in a row where that happened to me i think. FML, I will just wait 5 days from now on or something. >_<
cogito 4 weeks in a row
congrats
I feel like there is a good amount of excellent submissions this week around.
My personal favorites would be Prosperity, Ethereal Manipulator and Viper Sting.
And Kil'rek obviously.I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
Sorry to be that person, but why is Dragon Tamer on here?
It doesn't have the word Mana Crystal in it (Not that it's a bad design, I really like it in fact), or am I missing something here?
EDIT: Sorry just seen a earlier post explaining that, sorry.
My Entry for this week's Card Design Competition - Season 8.16:
Ugh, so hard to choose this time... I'm going with Prosperity because everyone is now a ramp druid.
Wished to be pink.
Then did.
Then fired myself.
Then did again.
A lot of pretty good finalists this time around, good luck to everyone.
