I don't get the point of the pun on Purrgatory. What the hell do cats have to do with the card?
Purr is obviously the stereotypical cat sound, but beyond that I think the card (or at the very least, the artwork and flavor text in the entry) is supposed to be a reference to Schrodinger's Cat.
Not a signle entry from page 1 ... I think the rules should be reviewed.
Again?? ok I intentionally did not post on page 1 and 2 because this happened last week too (this week my card was bad anyway so it did not matter), however I agree, things should change.
Voted for Sunwell Upholder as I said in discussion topic I would do. This is my favorite, I also voted for High Horse, very clever design!
Unless I'm blind, we have yet again no entry from the first page. This is a real and crucial issue and needsto be addressed. It's simply dumb that you can get yourself disqualified by having a page with "too many votes" on a page or that "the quality is too good". That's against any logic pertaining a COMMUNITY-vote (most votes) and COMPETITION (best cards). Make it a hard rule that page 1 (possibly 2 as well) get at least 1 submission in for all I care or alter the algorithm to account for overall activity on any given page.

I got the purr part, I just didn't get why the joke was made. Schrodinger's Cat is kind of a stretch. As a physicist, I think people don't really understand how that works. It doesn't really make sense as a Schrodinger's Cat joke.
As for the finals themselves. Unwilling Assisting gets my vote. Love the execution of the card. High Horse is also very flavorful and strikes a good balance. Perfect arena card.
I fail to see the purpose of Purgatory. On your own minion, it makes no sense, since it dies anyway. On an enemy minion, it's just a Corruption, possibly worse. So it's really a single combo card with Doomsayer and nothing else. Not even sure if it would trigger before Doomsayer and void the combo altogether tho.
I think my favorites for this week is as following.
1. Purrgatory - Love the art, love the effect, and i like the idea of the minion kinda being alive and dead at the same time.
2. Molten Rager - Ragers have always been favorites of mine, and this actually seem viable, although simple enough to be a rager.
3. Shaopao - A card with an exceptional powerful effect, but it is extremely slow too. I don't think this would see play. But it's super cool.
Last note: I'm slightly dissapointed to see both myself and Broeck reaching the finals. Considering how similar our cards are, we will surely drag each other down quite a bit :/

The joke is based on the layman's understanding of Shrödinger's Cat - cat in a box, is it dead or alive, oooh it's both somehow (kind of)(not really at all). So for the effect, you're making a minion both impossible to kill, and certain to die - dead and alive - and the pun is on the place between life and death. As a Physics Student, I totally get why it would bug you though.
As an aside, when making it I liked to imagine the cat was Mr. Bigglesworth. Seems like something Kel'thuzad's Cat would do,
The art is from the Yugioh Card Quantum Cat, which is of course based on the same thing thematically but is actually even worse an interpretation in its effect, they didn't even try.

Part of the problem is the art didn't show up well. The cat in the cage is kinda covered up, so I didn't realize what it was. It looked like there was a cat underwater (the magic looks kinda like bubbles) next to some sort of diving cage with equipment inside. And, yeah, Schrodinger's Cat jokes almost always bug me. It's not even a good thought experiment without any jokes.

It's designed to be a really versatile card, with some obvious uses and some less obvious ones.
As you said, immediate thought is to use it like Corruption, which is fine. Not particularly good, but y'know, that's a use. Then you can combo it with stuff like Doomsayer - my intention was that this would work, but I don't actually know if there's a precedent for that.
You can use it on your opponent's Taunt minion to attack past it, that'd probably be one of the major uses of it - like a pseudo-silence.
More niche stuff - maybe there's a card with an Aura or similar effect that you really want staying alive for the next turn, but don't care about afterwards. Would that come up often? Probably not, to be honest, but it's there.
Then you have the dumb fun combos. Combo it with Corpse Raiser to guarantee you keep a minion around another turn - somehow get that Malygos or Emperor Thaurissan value! Or my favourite 10 mana combo with Majordomo Executus, to guarantee you turn into Ragnaros on your terms and don't just get one-shot. You'll probably still lose horribly, but you get the idea.
Basically, it's not particularly meant to be the greatest card ever - I really don't think another card playing around with Immune should be, given how hated Ice Block is - but it's interesting. It can do stuff.
What the hell? A good chunk of the page 1 cards had a huge amount of votes. Like about 4 of them got past 50 upvotes, yet none of them made it to the finals? Then what is the point of uploading on the first page then?!

Because of the formular.
a*b/c
a being the amount of votes you had.
b being the amount of valid posts on the page.
c being the amount of overall votes on the page.
In the case of page 1. Then a bunch of them had a lot of votes, which meant that the average number of votes on the page meant that they diden't have a high enough score to beat out the submissions on the other pages.
This is obviously a hugely debated topic. Since Page 1 usually has a bunch of votes, which makes it way harder to advance. Furthermore it has one less valid submission automatically, since the rules post dosen't count.

I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
For reference, I believe the highest entry on page 1 was 17th overall on the scoring. It's definitely something we'll need to take a look at, although I wouldn't promise anything for the rest of this Season. I think it'd be better to test it out - whatever solution we attempt first - at the start of a new Season instead.
So far my favourite suggestion has just been the guarantee that at least one entry from page 1 and page 2 will make it through, but I'm open to more. Something for the feedback topic at the end of this Season. Has anyone taken the time to check previous Seasons to see if this has been a consistent issue that's just being brought up now, or has it just started this Season out of nowhere?

I never got it... who decides how many cards get into the finals?

Why was Frostrider from page 3 not here? It had more votes that Sunwell Upholder.
