Your card must affect your Hero, either positively or negatively.
Affecting your Hero Power does not count! It must affect your Hero only.
We have whittled down ~85 valid entries to just 12of the community's favorites. Just adding this from the submission topic. I personally think it's important to explain why I choose the name I did, and not something more "fitting" like vampiric/mosquito/something bloodsucking, though those are all great ideas :)
Locust Swarm is based of of the Crypt Lord's ultimate ability in Warcraft 3: The Frozen Throne. I found it very fitting with the new expansion. The spell in WC3:TFT reads: Creates a swarm of angry locusts that bite and tear at nearby enemy units. As they chew the enemy flesh, they convert it into a substance that restores hit points to the Crypt Lord when they return, source: http://classic.battle.net/war3/undead/units/cryptlord.shtml.
Taskmaster's Whip (4/5): Im pretty sure this was done many times before in this exact form, but its still a decent card i guess :)
Locust Swarm (4/5): Cute card, mby a bit too powerful, since there is rather easy setup with most WL's AOEs and more.
Intervene (3/5): I dont rly like the wording on this one, i would imagine something like Misdirection + Valeera the Hollow - When an enemy attacks a friendly minion, instead it attacks your hero. Gain Taunt until your next turn. ... it would still fit in 4 lines of text and your next turn is right when your opponents end, so same thing as u had it. Also im not a fan of your hero gettin taunt, since thats a huge way to protect your board, even tho i dont imagine this card doing much on average, it could still be potentially abused.
Onyx Knight (5/5): I rly love this card, even tho it seems a little too good, tho i dont think it would be constructed good enough (or rather good enough :p) and Rare for arena purposes, so in the end, its fine.
Soul Broker (4/5): A little too much if u ask me. Good 3-drop that basically heals u for 10, since u would ran this pretty much only in control, so u would get to that card.
Ultimate shapeshifting (5/5): Even tho i rly rly rly wouldnt like if druids had such an option, it feels pretty balanced.
Taran Zhu (4/5): At first i didnt want to like this card, but ultimately, i think its ok. If u would be in a situation that u hide this card behind taunts, your opponent would most likely have to trade into your board anyway if he wanted to do some dmg to your hero, so its like a weaker/better/different? Bolf 2.0, seems cute, decent anti aggro card i would say.
Al'Akir's Gift (3/5): Honestly i dont like this card for how well it can protect its board ... id say its pretty busted for Bloodlust shaman purposes. U have a weapon, u clear some shit or go face twice and your opponent pretty much has to AOE your board or u can set up huge Bloodlust next turn, doesnt feel good.
Full Fat imp (3/5): This card feels pretty similar to Soul Broker, even tho it basically restores only 3 hp, so its one stat and demon tag over Earthen Ring Farseer which would be ok for a class card ... but the deathrattle shenanigans and most importantly since its a demon, the superb synergy with Bloodreaver Gul'dan might be a bit too much in the end.
The Inkeeper (3/5): Well the wording is obviously shit, but the effect is cool :) Even tho mby little too good ... imagine pally with a coin and he has 1/3 + 1/1 + 1/1 etc. I dont think its completely broken, but seems a bit too much for a 1 cost minion in the end.
btw how is 1st post saying "3 hours ago" when it was created like 54 minutes ago? lol :
The post itself (formatting, banners, etc) was created earlier, so that it would be ready by the time the upvoting phase was over; and only needed to add the finalists and poll (which is also a lot of work for sure!). In the meantime, the thread wasn't visible yet. So, created the "skeleton" 4 hours ago, started filling it ~an hour ago, and finished it 20 mins ago (last edit), time at which it was also made visible to the general public.
Did not think I would make it to the finales with my Innkeeper as it does not really effect the hero. Thanks for the feedback SInti, I must agree with you! It was prob better if inkeeper was a 1/2 and the 1/1 copy costed 2 mana. Anyway, good luck all!!
Okay, the owner must VOTE, at least on my sight, so here are my votes and opinions:
Cards I voted for:
Locust Swarm by Lathy: I completely LOVE this card art and flavour, at least I played Warcraft III so I at least know what it does. And I love it! Very balanced, tricky though, but can get its incredible value! Although slightly powerfull with things like Hellfire or Felfire Potion, but I like the concept.
Ultimate Shapeshifting by Lordynarious: Just a very good card that I love it, it serves a lot for removal, and the effects seem very powerfull, with things like Bite or Gnash can combo very well! PLEASE VOTE FOR THIS ONE :P
Ironsight Rifle by Soulbattle: My wild card! I really liked this card, and completely deserved to get into the finals, the concept behind it seems really cool! Its a little underpowered though, but I like it!
Almost-got-a-vote-Nators:
Onyx Knight by draquaza1470: I like this card, but a bit of unoriginality, but:
Taran Zhu by ThisOtherGuyTox: I like the concept, but I'm not sure if executed well, but another "That's pretty good!"
Thumbs up for the prompt Larry! Though not the easiest to understand in terms of what's allowed and what's not, I think you allowed us to work with a lot of different mechanics, but still making it restrictive enough to not have something completely far fetched.

You can vote for all 5
Totally love Ironsinght Rifle!
I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
I like the Innkeeper and love Ironsight Rifle
Taran Zhu and Onyx Knight are fairly well balanced. I will like them to be in game. Other cards are like sick OP or too hard to pull off.
Just imagine turn 8: Double feral rage into double spiritual growth = 32 damage
thats way to overpowered :D

Massive surprise with the Wild Cards but massive thanks. Really awesome round this week, awesome use of the prompt
Taskmasters whip gets my vote, it has very interesting synergy with enrage mechanics, buffing some minions, creating card draw, it's just brilliant.
Id also like to say it was a pleasure being part of this and I'll definitely try and take part every week!
