Your card this week must be a 'counter' to a specific type of card or tribe. That is, it must have a negative effect aimed specifically at those cards or tribes.
To clarify, we're looking for counters to:
Card Types: Minion, Spell, Weapon, Hero
Tribes: Dragon, Beast, Murloc etc.
Keywords: Secret, Taunt, Deathrattle etc.
Your card must be able to be a detriment to your opponent - Venture Co. Mercenary would not count, despite having a negative effect aimed at minions.

Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entry for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

Can i do one that counters specific keywords? Such as Charge, Windfury you name it?
Yep, just like you can counter Battlecry you can counter other specific keywords. Defias Cleaner and The Black Knight count, for example. Silence in general does not, though, only specific Silence.
Probably too boring, but my first thought prior to seeing loatheb as an example :)
Man, I love this. Sure, it's a blatant rip-off of the Loatheb battlecry, but we've seen this kind of transition before. The biggest would be Ragnaros and the Warrior Quest. But also something like Princess Huhuran and Terrorscale Stalker.
I love that it's just named "Kick". That's super cool.
And this effect makes more sense in Rogue than anywhere else. Everyone jokes about the 'rogue identity' being 'clever tricks'. This is just the kind of clever trick that'd give rogue some strong class identity.
Here are my concepts for this week's competition. Please give me your thoughts:
The Image of the Light: A really cool take on priest's Thoughtsteal mechanic. A specific counter to Legendaries, this allows you to not only look at the cards they're playing but take one away from them aswell, which can have a major impact on the game. Might be slightly overpowered, however. What do you guys think?
Lakkari Seducer: A card I made a while back, and a solid counter to Taunt decks. Much better than The Black Knight, as you're stealing your opponent's minions and contesting the board, forcing your opponent to make unfavourable trades. Seems strong.
Warchief Sylvanas: Two concepts for this one. I really like the idea of a card that isn't able to be killed in one attack. Seems like a solid counter to bigger minions, but is not strong whatsoever in the current meta, which is full of aggro decks. The second variant, however, seems slightly OP. It completely ignores damage dealt to it by smaller minions, allowing it to completely tear apart your opponent's minions. A very solid counter to aggressive decks and small minions.
So would this card count because it is technically a "soft" counter where your opponent is put off from playing spells like Burgly Bully.
Interesting concept, I like it. Seems a bit overstatted, however. I's make it a 4/4 or maybe a 3/4. This card can deal a lot of damage to the opponent, remember.

Sylvannas: sounds pretty nice.
Seducer: Don't really know. Looks fine to me.
Image of light: No. Complete fun killer. In contrast of Dirty rat, which is more controlled, this you can choose what combos to ruin.
please note that if multiple minions are adapted at once, adaptron gets only one adaptation (3 silverhad recruits get divine shield, and the other options were +3 health and +1/+1, adaptron would NOT get +9 and +3/+3)
No, since they don't have a negative effect for those cards, but a positive effect for themselves. Yes, they could be considered counters to those cards, but we have to draw the line somewhere, so negative effects only for this competition.
This is the Discussion Topic. The Submission Topic is here.
Competition Theme: Counter Culture
This weeks theme comes from Ozymandias, whose "Frog Cycle" was the winner of our "Rinse, Spin and Cycle" competition.

First question, does the Riders from Gadgetzan count?
Like Spiked Hogrider
The joke is you.
Would this count? Counter to Jade and Token decks and would also counter stuff like Imp Gang Boss, Forbidden Ritual and Free From Amber.
Here are my entries. Feedback is appreciated!
Do Frost Control Tech and Rhino count?
Jesus christ i make many questions. . .
Can I make a card that affects ALL tribes ? Or a card that targets several keywords?
I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
my first idea, what do you guys think?

This week's theme is a bit vague, what is a "counter" exactly ? Would, for example, minions that cost (5) or more be considered a type ?
Custom cards :
CLASSES : Alchemist (CCC#5 | Phase V) | Chef (CCC#4)
EXPANSIONS : Year of the Scorpion (Year Comp)
You can find me here! Good luck everyone!
A type of card would be: A minion, a spell, a hero, etc.
So, "a minion with x attack, health or cost" text does suposed to count.
edit: too late
