oh, um, I just kinda stumbled upon this thread xD next time send us a link hahahah. When do I need to submit my card by? also im not gonna even look at the entries yet so as not to be influenced xD
I'm not sure about the best way to go about the voting process yet (definately a little sceptical about this 36-option-poll-thing though), but i'd at least release the whole bunch of entries together rather than bit after bit like it is now.
Fairness is not that big of an issue (although people might settle for their favourite after only having seen one half of the competition) but i'm supposing this drawn out release phase will deflate the hype for each round really quickly. At least some sort of deadline could also help with this since people wouldn't have to check for progress every now and then and would be presented with some date or period of time to look forward to.
It's not that i'm mad - i'm just afraid that the tournament might end up flying under the radar for most people.
And also what @Livienna said: Isn't there some way to notify us - at least the contestants? I literally stumbled upon this just now :D
I think notifying people of a deadline to submit their card would be good as well, if not we would be constantly waiting for cards before it starts lol

These Entries are intense. There are few that stick out as underpowered, but there lots of totally busted cards.
Cards like Mass Ressurection and Fluxfire Evocation might work on Legendary Minions, but I wouldn't want to see these be run x2 in a deck. Too much value, but just on the edge of being believable cards. Fluxfire Evocation has lame flavor, there are cooler ways to theme a spell like that.
Call Demons is sooo close to being good. It should just put those cards into your hand. Filling your deck with unpredictable draws isn't good enough.
Lexicon Demonica is a solid card. I could see it being random demons as well. Resurrecting isn't much of a Warlock thing.
Bulk Up is great!
I think my own card Earthquake is simple and powerful. Its Earthshock pumped up.
The rest... well there's a lot of wacky overpowered stuff. These are the kinds of effects I'd love to see in 60 card decks with 60 hp heros. Hearthstone is just too short to make use of gigantic effects without them causing immediate victory.

I made Fluxfire Evocation, i honestly thought it was a cool idea ;-;
The problem with 10 mana spells are that they have to be insanely powerful to have any chance of being run. And Fluxfire is just that.
But i don't get why you have a problem with the flavor? Evocation is the mana regen spell in wow, so thats why i choose that, since this one makes you "able" to cast more spells. Furthermore, you're at most getting 8 cards worth of random spells out of this. Since unless you're topdecking it, you will have another card in your hand. And it will burn another one from your deck the next turn.
But honestly. I should probaly just have submitted my Call of the Yaaaar card that summoned 7 dead Pirates.

Ah, I wasn't aware of the spell in WoW. I'd have named the spell something like "Endless Library" or "Tome of Infinite Spells" or something.
I think the real balance problem I have with it is that with that many random spells, you've got a high chance of pulling a second copy of this spell or at least a cabalist tome, some primordial glyphs, etc. For a card like this to be balanced, all classes need to have such effects that can generate 7 to 10 more cards. This isn't a great way to take the game, especially with 30 card decks. Like I said, in a 60 card deck, this is a believable effect. Think about Elise the Trailblazer, that card gives you 5 more cards, but requires you to wait for the un'goro pack to draw. Lyra, the Soulshard can give infinite spells, but there is an upper limit to how many priest spells are actually useful. Priests don't get frostbolt, fireball, pyroblast, flame geyser, arcane missiles, etc: spells that do direct damage to opponents and minions.

Might as well give a few words about my own card and my expectations for 10 mana spells. Why? Because I'm bored...
It is difficult to judge what a 10 mana spell should be like considering that 10 mana spells are low in quantity. My belief is that they should have effects that will only work if their requirements were met earlier in the game. examples of this in hearthstone include Pyroblast and Anyfin Can Happen. After certain requirements have been met, dealing 20 damage to the opponent and summoning murlocs respectively, they have strong effects.
That said, I forgot to incorporate that in my card. After thinking of several ideas, such as turn all minions into demons, I came up with For Science!. I know that it's a random effect that wouldn't see much play in the meta but I play hearthstone for fun, not the competition much like most others I know. Thus, I chose to make my card based off of randomization and decided on random secrets cause not only can it be fun, it's also aggravating for your opponent. My first idea for the text was "cast 5 random secrets" but later on I figured that would cause duplicates to appear. I consulted Mysterious Challenger and ultimately decided on the card text. So yeah. Still figuring out how to incorporate the requirement thing. Oh well.

I can see why you think 2 Mass Conversions is a problem, and yeah it does give you great immediate value, but you gotta remember that you're mostly shuffling a bunch of minions that didnt belong to you into your deck. Thats worse than Prince Malchezaar, whose only saving grace is that he gives you 5 legendaries for 0-mana. This can be giving you taunts, or super buffed cheap minions, all things that will only succeed in messing up your draws. Plus you can't do anything else that turn. Its like an extreme late game counter measure, but don't you think Twisting Nether is just plain better? ;-;
Call Demons is sooo close to being good. It should just put those cards into your hand. Filling your deck with unpredictable draws isn't good enough
Thank you for the feedback, (I created Call Demons), I appreciate the constructive criticism, especially as this is only the 3rd card I've created, and I do agree that adding to the hand would make it better, but I was more thinking of this as a spell to prolong your deck as Warlock's card draw, especially in discardlock means that it will hit fatigue faster, Call Demons is more about denying fatigue and ,at least trying, to refuel your deck. (I also just want to say your card is one of the one's I would rather move on than my own) (my phone won't let me remove this text from the quote)

I am the one who design Lexicon Demonica, I design to resummon the died demon in the game because the Unlicensed Apothecary is in the pool of demon(25 damage on face).
On the other hand,most of the demon is low cost and having negative effect when you play its in the game. Also this card would summon the demon other player have played in the game. The 10 mana card used in controlock would be easily counter by zoolock.
In addition,in WOW the demon never die but only return to Twisted Nether so I think they could be resummon again.
May be I could change the card text to summon 5 demon died in the game?
Suddenly found this post at the main page and saw my entry was inside so I wanna talk a little bit more about this card here: Basically this card would ideally promotes a new gimmick deck the centers on this card like Anyfin Can Happen and prompt up some Rogue minions that didn't see a lot of play like Kidnapper and probably buff the new poor man's Edwin, Biteweed for a little bit. The Black Hand synergies with the Rogue Quest, The Caverns Below also. The only problem about this card is this card would make Edwin VanCleef so broken but he's quite broken for a long time already so I don't think it's a big problem here. Or maybe they should costs (1) but for a 10-mana spell that will consume your whole turn, I would rather like to have some immediate effect that can change the board state instantly. Or maybe they should only costs (0) this turn only, idk. Let me know what do you think about this card although I'm not sure I'm allowed to change my entry or not. ;o
This card was inspired by the next upcoming Leonardo DiCaprio's film since he won his first Academy Award for Best Lead Actor in The Revenant (2015). The Black Hand (2018) -IMDbis a movie about an Italian-American gang in the New York City which based on the novel with the same name, The Black Hand.
