WoW a class card that has shit to do with Rogue from a design point of few and just summons already existing NEUTRAL minions wins against some actually well designed and thought out cards by a landslide, thats really sad for a "design" competition. Design =/= Flavour
The idea of reporters carrying out an interview is just so mind-blowing that people don't care.
I agree that a category system would be cool but their coding unfortunately can't handle it and it'd be too tedius and time consuming to evaluate 5 categories for each card for the average voter.
And a card (Ozumat) that was mod marked as not fulfilling the requirements not only got into the finals but also took 3rd in votes.
I feel like the open voting system doesn't work well in this competition, since people just vote for what looks cool/funny and completely ignore the "design" aspect of it as we can clearly see with this weeks winners (exept Back-alley Deal) and cards like Pepe in the past. Maybe only people who entered a submission should be able to vote or we could have some sort of "checklist" that has basic things on it like "If it's a class card, does it fit the overall design of the class?" or "Is this weeks theme essential to the card?" (Voidform).
Everyone who has been watching a TV talent show where the public votes to elect the winner knows that open votes will make the sexiest candidate win rather then the one who really deserves it. Same applies here. What we need is a committee of people who judges the cards with a defined points system based on different criterias related to the theme of each week to determine the winner. That. Would. Be. AWESOME!!

Just to clarify this, I had originally marked Ozumat and others like it as not fitting in an initial sweep, but after looking at it again and discussing with the other mods we decided that it did follow the rules, and so unmarked them.

One of the entries that limited opponent hand size argued that it did fulfill the second requirement because, if an opponent is currently holding more cards than their new limit, the logical conclusion is that extra cards get discarded/burned to bring them back down to their new hand size limit. We agreed that this was a good argument for fitting the second rule, as it inherently had the extra benefit of forcing the opponent to discard if they had a certain number of cards in their hand or more.
