Locks got shit on so bad...WTF is this card even supposed to be??? Has 0 text which makes no sense for a Demon and we already have a Doomguard...So so bad....Locks didn't get a damn thing for constructed play, all unplayable trash.
As someone who plays Handlock/Zoo, Warlock doesn't really 'need' anything. We have arguably the most amount of viable decks of any other class, be it Zoo, Handlock, Demonlock, Malylock, and Demon Handlock.
Don't even defend this trash we got this expansion...Locks got nothing but filler shit and now even worse in Arena.
I'm not defending anything, just saying that we also don't need anything to be good, since we're the most versatile class in the whole game.
That's bullshit....A few classes got very buffed this expansion and Warlock will find itself getting outclassed and now also a shit arena pick.
Nothing happened that would give Handlock a harder time, and Zoo can just use all the neutral small stuff. There is nothing that made Warlock worse. Rogue now has a control archetype, and dragons are a thing, and Inspire is a thing. None of that will hurt the Warlock playstyle. Instead, we get discard synergy, a new avenue for a Zoo-ish deck to run down.

So warlocks should be happy playing the same old decks until the next expansion just because? They didn't agree with that philosophy for mage, which has just as many playable archetypes. There isn't even a coherent neutral theme for warlock to try and play with instead, because we've had an "inspire" deck for some time now. It's called handlock, and it has more viable synergy with our hero power than anything this expansion gave us. Enjoy zoo, handlock, and all of their more gimmicky spinoffs until the next adventure hits, fellow warlocks. Nothing to see here.
Look at Priests. This expansion gave them stronger cards, but they're still stuck having to rely mostly on combos. We're doing fine as a class and arguably still one of the strongest in the game. Nothing to fret over.
this is about the only card that has made me upset from the expansion. Redistributed stats from war golem, so exact same value - no text, nothing. Just throw a dart at any of the thousands of design competitions and you'd have something infinitely better than this.

Utter rubbish.
Warlock didn't need buffing, other classes did - Shamans and Priests et al will find themselves on a more level playing field but the old Warlock routine will still work fine. Look at Druids, 3 expansions in a row we got nothing but trash yet have remained perpetually viable.
Well, despite Warlock being very strong as a class, it still wasn't always able to outclass other decks like Control Warrior - I think Warlock is going to find itself in a very difficult position trying to come up with new decks that will be viable with Inspire and the new TGT mechanics. They'll be left in the dust if there aren't any new decks they can make, and since discard decks aren't viable, it seems like they will be hit rather hard. Handlock stagnates pretty badly with all of these control cards - it will just get countered. And then what happens to Warlock? Sigh. This is a very disappointing card, just because it's so plain.
It's a common vanilla demon. It seems like quite a valuable addition for warlock arena. It also increases the value of Bane of Doom. I kind of like it, though I don't see it being used in constructed a lot.
Yikes. I feel bad for Locks. Wilfred Fizzlebang is pretty sick but otherwise they got some blah cards this expansion. This demon is just plain yogurt blahness :/

By the end of it they even ran out of ways to give us creatively awful garbage, so they just settled on this.

Welcome to the rogue treatment fellow warlocks. However Zoo and Handlock will be still viable.

WHy doesn't this card have something like taunt? Taunt would make this card more viable.

It's the first vanilla class card, right?
I really thought this guy had Taunt. Would make him pretty cool.
Bane of Doom buff! PogChamp
It's a nice, big body on a common card for newer, F2P players trying out different classes.
If you see someone playing Shadow Bolt. a Fearsome Doomguard is probably coming later in the game

why is this a thing... i mean buff to Bane of Doom
That's literally their intention I think. Otherwise Bane of Doom would be utter trash with this expansion.
