I have drawn him in pre order, I'm playing shaman since beta and experienced a lot with this class. He's still in my deck and I have won every game when I dropped him between round 5 to 7. I haven't lost a single game. For sure it's hard to sayif his effect had something to do to win the game. I traded several a times a fire element for boom, the lategame becomes incredibly stronger. In my opinion the the shaman midrange shaman has a strong early game with totem tuskar creeper flametongue. And mistcaller prepares the deck for the mid and lategame, I'm going to keep him in my deck. Controlematchups become a bit easier with him.
And to all who said his shit. U have ever played with him? U tested a lot? Is this your own opinion or u just say the same like for example trump because trump said this? I'm reading a lot what pro players say about cards, I consider this, test it and build my own opinion. U should try this too instead of making an echo of some pro players.
This card definitely has its place, not in the early, but in the mid or lategame. It was a time where people said al akir is trash. U remember?
Greetings
I agree with this for the most part. I would never have crafted him due to the flood of parroting negative views, but when I opened him I figured why not give it a try? So far I have had great success in the rank 5 to 10 range. There have been a ton of matches with such ridiculous value over time where it felt like it was impossible to lose. Loses hard to tempo and face decks, sure, but no deck wins every matchup.
Imagine a hypothetical card: "Instant Bananas", 2 mana spell, give all minions in hand and deck +1/+1. I bet most people would consider such a card an auto-include.
Now imagine another hypothetical card: "Queen Mukla", 4 mana 4/4 minion, add Instant Bananas to your hand. Once again, it would be a well received card.
The number one thing that holds Misty back is that it is a Shaman card. Shaman's unsynergistic hero power, overload handicap, and lack of control tools makes it largely unviable with the current card pool. If Mistcaller were neutral it would find tons of play. Hopefully with time Shaman will find a way to make it work competitively. Hopefully that happens before he cycles out of Standard.
Don't blame the card, blame the class he's in.

Closing this as it's out of date. Discuss WoToG in a separate thread. (But use the search function first, as there are already threads discussing overhyped cards etc.)
