So basically, Dragon Consort is trash now. I kept two copies of them to synergize with Ysera in my midrange paladin and because the stats were actually good, but with this card unveiled and the epic failure of the dragon tribe, Tuskarr Jouster might as well be a power creep.
AMAZING card. See, this is what Joust/Inspire cards need to be like. A 5 for a 5/5 is acceptable stats and the ability is just an added bonus. This card would be playable at 6 but is at least a 1-of in every non-aggro Paladin deck at 5. Love the continued theme of mid-range healing for Paladin too. Big time thumbs up for this card.
Why are so many scribs on the first couple of pages of this thread are missing the fact that this card is for the Paladin class? I swear the amount of people who said this is good in Handlock... Geez!
Card's a natural fit for control pally, if that still exists in the meta.
On a side note, about that Joust mechanic, how will it work if either player has no minions left in the deck, or even both!?
Edit: Ok it looks like this was posted as a Neutral then changed to Pally.
I find this card horrible. If you need healing, a -chance- to heal 7 is ridiculously bad.
I do not like Jousting. Its a terrible mechanic. Roll the wrong card and lose the game, is essentially what it says. But thats when its against fast decks. Those techs are so bad against slower decks its fucking laughable. Have fun trying to heal for 7 against a Druid. Guess that combo will get you.
Those cards are honestly ridiculous. You CANNOT rely on it. It can ALWAYS fail. Its never CLOSE to guaranteed. How can THAT be good?
At least this one has decent stats, but thats not saying much.
I would gladly run this in my pally deck. A chance to get that 7 heal would win me the game with my control deck in many instances. I don't run healbot because its body is just too weak for palladin who really needs to keep control of the board. at least a 5/5 even without the effect gives me something to pressure the board with while i wait for my other heals.

This guy gets it.
Is it too much to ask for overbudgeted proactive paladin class cards? Control/Mid Paladin cant even lethal well yet all their cards are still underwhelming. Warrior gets good cards because their hero power yet these days paladins 1/1s are a hindrance, it makes no sense. Paladin as a class needs to be re-designed seriously.
Out of all the decks that currently run Healbot, the risk with swapping it is that you might lose the heal to an RNG roll, even with favorable odds. The decks that really need the heal might keep Healbot, and decks that require more tempo could switch to this.
My first thought is Oil Rogue. Rogue usually doesn't need the heal vs control anyways and the 5/5 could be a huge boost in those matchups. And the median minion cost is about 4 mana since they only run one 2 drop in Bloodmage Thalnos so the likelihood of getting the trigger is very decent vs aggro. This is truly a card that we won't know how consistently useful it is until we play with it.
Was this revealed as a Neutral, because it obviously looks to be Paladin? No rogues, no Shaman and no goddamn Warlock usage. If you screwed up then sorry you wasted your mind on this.

Originally I thought this card was quite good to very good if it was a neutral. Seeing as it's a Paladin card it's pretty mediocre, and fairly disappointing as Paladin is not the class that's struggling to get heals out, and isn't the class that with it's on average low to midrange curve going to take chances with a coinflip like this.

"My life... for Aiùr."
Another good card for control paladin.

You can always run this AND Antique Healbot AND Guardian of Kings, because 5/5 for 5 mana is already a good body.
And you are afraid of very bad RNG? Maybe Hearthstone is not for you...
Yeah, that wasn't known last night when it was revealed.

I love the turtle. Make the turtle it's own card! 10 mana 10/10 with battlecry- kill with cuteness, rival can't attack...ever.

When jousting, are the minions revealed strictly from the top of each players' decks or is it a random minion in their deck?
-
Randomly. AKA: That enemy Handlock will keep Joust-revealing the same Molten Giant over and over again.
Give a man a Murloc, and he'll eat for a day.
Give him a Murloc Knight, and people will hate him.

Since you haven't checked the first page of the thread apparently.
I like this guy alot. Way better than Healbot.
Leroy Jenkins was nerfed for this. IT all makes sense now
My legendary count excluding adventure legendaries, dupes and old murk eye: 40
$$$ spent on this game: 0

I don't get why they didn't give this to shaman, paladin already has quite a few heals shaman has one totem, bullshit. Should not be a paladin card
Seeing how shitty most people's "jokes" are it's not surprising that someone doesn't get the "humor".
