I was coming to the forums to ask something about legends and found this. Thanks for making this a thing!
- I dont play rush/aggro. - I dont play anything paladin related. - I play quite literally everything else. - I have tiers 1, 2 and the better portion of tier 3 from non-gvg stuff. - i have tier 1 of GvG ( and some other Gvg legends i personally like) but no tier 2.
Now that you know my playstyles and collection....My question is, i just got back up to 1600 dust. so legend time. But, Sneed's Old Shredder or Troggzor the Earthinator? control wise i feel they provide literally the same role. A "sticky" minion for mid-game.

Working through the BotB results right now to post on the utilization thread and that data strongly supports Dr. Boom. He was used 2.5x as often as Ragnaros across the 32 deck sample.
Edit: Finished up the analysis. Leaving most of it on the other thread, our first GvG data suggest tiers of:
T1: Dr. Boom
T2: Sylvanas, Harrison Jones, Ragnaros, Alexstraza

Obviously, some of that is nonsense due to small sample size, but the Dr. Boom and TBK results are telling.

I crafted (my first ever leg-craft) the Boomster this past weekend and have ZERO buyer's remorse. My friend said, "WHAT? You crafted him before Rags??!?" Yes I did. And so far I've won EVERY game in which Boom's made an appearance, he's that good, crazy value.
what legendary would you guys suggest i make to help those 2 decks out? im thinking sylvanas but im not 100% sure.
Both of those decks would benefit from Sylvanas Windrunner, although Priest moreso than Paladin. Dr. Boom and Ragnaros the Firelord is a solid selection as a neutral as well if you're playing control.
Essential neutral cards that I think should be in every collection: Big Game Hunter, Harrison Jones, The Black Knight. The meta alternates between the last two being essential hard counters, and at least one BGH should be in EVERY deck.
If you main a particular class I would almost always prioritize the class epics and legendaries over the neutrals, but that's just me. It may force you to change your deck strategy and/or play style a bit to really make them shine.
Neutral Legendaries that almost always earn their Keep: Alexstrasza, Dr. Boom, Hogger, and Ragnaros the Firelord. I have mixed results with Sylvanas Windrunner, but it does force opponents to play around her. Troggzor the Earthinator has a similar effect. Generally legendaries with an immediate effect will guarantee some value and should be collected before the others.
What are your thoughts on Lord Jaraxxus and Antonidas? My warlock deck isn't that good, but it's, let's say, OK, and Jaraxxus seems immensely fun :D On the other hand there's Antonidas that could fit very well with my mage that uses a fairly good numbers of spells.
Both are excellent class legendaries. Jarraxxus fits well into handlock and demonlock, and spare parts have made Archmage a force to be reckoned with.

Trogg puts a bit more pressure on your opponent when played on a board you are ahead on. It limits the use of removal spells.
what now? I am unsure about a class legendary (I have none Warrior legendaries, so I am a bit intrigued by Iron Juggernaut) but I am inclined towards a generic legendary (Dr.Boom, Troggoz or Sneed's maybe?)
The momento you get your first GVG legendarie and its the one you crafted last week, fuck you Dr.Boom lost 1200 dust in a blink :(. Still loving him anyways.
Hello! I am currently at 1.5 k dust now, and am approaching my first crafted legendary. Right now, I play mostly midrange shaman but am looking to play a new deck. I am a more control player. I currently have: Archmage Antonidas, Edwin VanCleef, Ragnaros the Firelord, Bloodmage Thalnos, and Baron Geddon. In the majority of the decks I am looking to play besides shaman (the exception being hand lock), Sylvanas Windrunner, Cairne Bloodhoof, and Dr. Boom appear a lot and are currently my top picks. Which one seems best? Or, should I just save dust to craft epics to play new decks?

Even if that happens to me I won't mind, cause it won't take away the memories/smiles he's already given me by beating down hunters, priests and warriors with him :-)
Need advice on how to proceed. I have a respectable card base, but I don't have the dust necessary to really finish any deck in particular to be ladder competitive. I'm missing mostly class legends and a few class epics, but I'm sitting on 1785 dust plus a lot of dustables.
My list of legendaries: iron juggernaut, gazlowe, sylvanas, baron geddon, dr boom, ragnaros, alex, mekgineer themaplug, nozdormu.
I probably have enough crap legendaries and epics to get to 3200 dust. I have most of control warrior except for grom, harrison, and a big game hunter, but I'm a little shaky to spend 1600 dust on a class legendary. I have no hero preference and I strongly prefer to play control, although I'm mostly interested in being as competitive as possible. What should I dust/craft???
Like Sonal, I'd like some advice on the next legendary to craft. Apart of the Naxx guaranteed ones and Gelbin, I have so far: Jaraxxus, Ragnaros, Sylvanas, Cairne, Cenarius, Tirion, Bolvar, Vol'jin, Iron Juggernaut and Grom. Sylvanas and Grom are crafted.
I am considering Dr. Boom, Antonidas (mostly those two), Harrison Jones, Black Knight and Alexstraza. I play more or less every class, with a small preference towards Mage, Paladin and Druid.
Would exclude Harrison and TBK because they're more metagame responses than core deck parts. You will want them both eventually, but they can wait.
Would exclude Antonidas because he is one of the less necessary class legendaries and it seems like you want something broader.
Leaving you deciding between Dr. Boom and Alexstraza. Dr. Boom is the stronger card, but someone made the excellent point a few replies ago that Dr. Boom can come out of the packs you will be opening in the near term and Alex cannot. I guess it depends on how lucky you feel.
I'm thinking about crafting The Black Knight or Cairne Bloodhoof to have at least nearly all the staple legendaries. What do you guys think? I also have a Handlock Deck, as much as I'd like to craft Jaraxxus or Antonidas for my Mech mage, I still think I should craft one of the two mentioned above. Or even going completely opposite and crafting Bolvar Fordragon ?

If you play a lot of mage or handlock I would go for Antonidas or Jaraxxus. Cairne is a little slow for the aggro meta that is happening now, and TBK can be very situational. Personally I feel Bolvar is too easily dealt with, so I wouldn't play him.

Still trying to get legendary, after a years hovering in ranks 5-1. Ranking of classes based on power and enjoyment playing it:
1. Mage - Tempo/Mech/Freeze 2. Druid - Standard Midrange Ramp 3. Hunter - Midrange/Face 4. Paladin - Midrange/Control 5. Warrior - Standard Control 6. Rogue - Sprint Oil 7. Priest - Control 8. Warlock - Handlock/Zoo 9. Shaman - Mech/Midrange

You are only missing Grom to play control warrior (assuming you have the ancillary non-legendaries). If you love control decks, it's the daddy of them all.

Boom is amazing in Druid, and solid in midrange pally/mage decks. Antonidas has seen a huge boost in value with the advent of spare parts, so if you like mech mage decks he's very good.
Thank your for the answer. Yeah, but I feel that everybody knows the handlock matchup. And Handlock vs. Priest isn't an auto win anymore. SO it comes down to Tbk or Cairne. And I really can't decide which one to craft, as the real only target for TBK is mostly Sludge Belcher.
Is harison jones worth the craft atm? Currently have enough dust for 3 legendaries not sure whether to craft him or not
I mainly play Control warrior, paladin, and handlock (I'm missing Dr Boom and Baron Geddon)
Also, how good is troggzor? I currently have a golden troggzor and not entirely sure if DEing him might be worth it.
Harrison is handy in this weapon heavy meta. I'd also craft boom. Trogg has a niche like Geddon. He is good when played on a board you are ahead on, as he discourages the use of removal spells.

@Zekana: Anything from tier 1 GvG. though Dr. Boom is used in both and Vol'jin would only help one side of the coin,
