Would be a far more playable card if it said gain +1 durability for every minion in play with taunt. In the current state it's nice that we have a non-RNG 3 mana weapon, but you would have to cut a weapon to run it and paying 1 mana more for on average an Upgrade!Fiery War Axe without the extra attack seems pretty bland to me. That said if we somehow get some new taunts or cards in Warrior that create taunts that cost low mana. It will be decent to quite good, but in the current state with what's revealed it's not unplayable, but mediocre. Although it's a far-cry from how awkward mediocre Revenge was.
Rexxar has been complaining about Taunt all this time, and his fellow Orc came up with a brilliant idea to turn this horrible mechanic into a weapon of face destruction:
Maybe in a buff set up, because now you have a sweet weapon sure, but a crap board. Also Harrison sees a lot of play right now, and even if this becomes a thing, he'll just see more play.
I am not saying this card is bad, far from it, just that this particular set up is way to much investment for a situation that is far from good. It's cheap combo but it's five cards, there are five card combos with patron that just win you the game.
I can still see this getting some play depending on other cards we get in this set, if you get a few taunters on board a 3/4 weapon is pretty solid.
I feel like a lot of you are severely underrating this card. It's by no means a replacement for the best weapon in the entire game Fiery War Axe, but it's a seemingly great option to put in an aggro style of warrior. Tempo cards like Dread Corsair work incredibly well and in a slower tempo deck you can still run things like belcher and annoy-o-tron to protect minions and still get reasonable value. I don't think this will find it's way into control decks at all, but think about how much this helps weapon based aggro and even a potential aggro pirate deck. This card is definitely not worth sleeping on.
Ok, people think about it warriors will never use this card in constructed just never but....! Arena is a thing and if you played warrior in arena you know that not having any weapons to control the board leads to a bad run there. This card is made for arena because many times you are likely to have several taunts in a deck and this give you a greater chance at getting a weapon in draft.

Except dread corsair has terrible synergy with this card, or in reality the very opposite of synergy. That being said I agree with you otherwise. You could easily see the return of the warrior weapon face deck.
I think the thing that makes this card interesting is that it's the only Warrior weapon atm that can have more than 2 durability (Gorehowl aside), so you can do something like play an Annoy-o-Tron and this on a turn where you have a Slime token and Upgrade! for a 4/5 weapon that you can just hit face with every turn. Depending on what other weapon buffs we see this set, this weapon could end up filling a similar role to Assassin's Blade in a deck built to take advantage of it.
I think it is meant to compete with fiery waraxe, but if it can't be equipped in turn 2, then I don't think it will be used at all. You want 4-5 damage hits beyond turn 3 where this axe come in. We only use ghoul, belcher and shieldmaster in decks, so it would gain 1-2 durability. Which I don't think is worth the extra mana cost and low damage in so late part of the game.
There. will. be. new. decks.
You. sannot. state. that. a. card. is. bad. because. it. doesn't. work. in. the. current. decks.
Also I think the Target Dummy / Upgrade! shenanigan is more competitive than it seems, it generates 30 damage for 5 mana. This would require a completely different deck, so yeah please, stop the whining it's too early for that.
I agree, we dont know the decks. Though he is right, does not compete well with fiery waraxe or deathsbite. Deathsbite origionally was just used as an axe, and not part of combo peices and was supper strong even then. The new weapon will take a lot of things to happen to warrior to make it considerable for a specific deck.
Simply put this would require an entirely new type of deck for Warrior. And right now I just don't see it. Now if the missing Warrior cards have some sort of synergy with this then I'll be happy to revisit it.

Jaws you hit the nail exactly on the head with your comment! This card would have to be based strictly on a whole deck revolving around it in order for it to be even slightly viable at a competitive level. A weapon that is just slightly better than ( and I mean just barely ) Fiery War Axe is hardly worth the effort unless they give Warrior more synergy cards based around it.
Seriously, drop a prime target minion (like Knife Juggler, for example) and back it up with a few cheap taunts, maybe even some bigger mid-game taunts like Belcher, like some Midrange Hunters did. The card can potentially delay Death's Bite a lot, which is bad, and getting the maximum value means that you're already winning anyway, but who knows, maybe we'll get some card that synergizes with this one.

The issue i see is that warriors use Fiery and Death's Bike to delay the game. We can use them, because these two cost 1 card slot and fills early game mana.
This weapon is barebone expensive. So it needs x minions played before using it, while also requiring y cards to buff the damage of the weapon. This is weapon + x + y cards. Which is bad for both control and patron.
So the card needs a new deck for this card to be effective, and that is likely to need better cards than we currently have - that play around minions on board to create a win condition. While this in return creates a huge liability in terms of ooze and harrinson jones, where each x taunt you had means 1 extra draw for your opponent. Making the weapon benefit your opponent instead, and leave you with many spent cards and far behind.
Winaxe 2.0, mby warrior arena will get better :)

Turn 1- Coin Win Axe, kill 1 drop
Turn 2 - Double Dread Corsair, Kill 2 drop
Turn 3 - Double Target Dummy into King's Defender for a 3/6 weapon (almost as good as Blood Fury) on Turn 3, Aggro cries a million tears.
Turn 2, could be any combo of Dread Corsairs and/or Footmen

The only person excited about this card is Harrison Jones.

Maybe a patron warrior staple as they play some taunts ... not sure though
(sorry for any missssssspels - not a native english speaker + fat fingers)
I think it may have some uses. Maybe warrior will become more newbie friendly.
I'll try this deck once the expansion comes out:
I hope this will turn out to be a great card, because i really like the mechanic. And it has a great art :D
Nah, Patron warrior wants death's bite out as soon as possible.
See this man gets it. :p

Lets be realistic and remove both target dummies, that is just waste of a deck slot and totaly counterproductive, when u play 3/3 taunt and 0/2 taunt.
