Yes you are all right with feelings that this card isnt very awesome, but i think they want to add a 5mana mage card (well...) and decrase the power of mage in arena (since it is a common)
ROFL i was like, wtf? i didnt write here yet ... took me a while to see, it wasnt my post :DD *cabal bros*
btw this card will be soooooooo pretty in Golden verison <3 :D
This card upgrades freeze mage into a whole new level,I mean not only the common doom frost combo but freeze mage hasBloodmage Thalnos and then you use Flame strike then you use this card, this card is more effective against aggro decks, making freeze mage players more comfortable dealing with them
It's not bad. It has some synergies with AoE cards like Flamestrike or cards like Doomsayer, which kills every minion at start of your turn. I can see this fit into Ancient Mage OTK version of Freeze Mage, or any other version of Freeze Mage that is not heavily dependent on Alexstrasza. Turn 6 Frost Nova plus Doomsayer, turn 7 Archmage Antonidas plus 2 Dragon's Breath is like GG already. A 4 damage removal should cost about 3 mana, so you need 2 minions to die at your turn to not lose tempo, anything above that is a plus. Killing 2 minion shouldn't be that hard with Mage's AoE. Still, it should neither replace Frostbolt nor Fireball in most of Mage decks.
Also, really good art. I can't wait to see golden animated version,
i like the concept of this card.. can work insanely good in freeze mage and in arena the thing that bothers me tho is that Dragon's breath in World of warcraft was mage skill that made a blazing dragon head appear on top of you and Disorientier everyone infront of you for few seconds + deal dmg to them (didnt break on dots) .. i was playing lots of fire mage in wow and i loved the spell.. this here.. isnt exacly what i expected but from balance POV giving mage more CC/aoe clean would be catastrophic .. good card and good addition for mage (first 5mana mage class card hello!:))
Card is pretty "meh" if you ask me. Its an "already winning" card. The only situation I see this being useful is on turn 7, if the opponent has a full board, with only 1 minion having more than 4 health, but less than 9. Wipe the board with flamestrike, and pick off the lab big guy with this. ^Super situational
I think its pretty weak. We may see some specialized decks take advantage of it and it could be a part of a future no-minions deck that is not yet viable, but as is... nothing much to see here.
Note: It kind of sort of has synergy with the very bad Flame Leviathan... that's not saying much.
Still, kind of a fun card to have in the game and it does work towards an all burn no-minion mage deck at some future date.

One of those cards that are amazing if everything plays out right and if not then you're stuck with a 5 mana deal 4 damage spell in your hand as some overpriced removal or burn.
Extremely disappointed this wasn't a warlock card. Could of probably seen some long-term constructed play if that were the case. As is it'll probably just see some play in Arena as a late pick for removal.
...blizzard shows off 2 mage cards before we see a single paladin, priest, or druid? seriously guys? also i do not count that paladin card that shows us the mana cost. that doesn't mean much.
anyway onto the card, its not bad. not amazing but not bad. its a combo card that works well with alternative ways of thinking. this can make stuff like Explosive Sheep more useful for some. sheep and hero = concecration that by default would make dragon's breath a 4 cost spell and typically you will use this to take out atleast 2 minions so now it costs 2. best thing in the world? not really, but it leads itself well to comboes and alternative ways of thinking. this will be another good card for mages in arena though.
you dont get it again.... this card is another spell that does damage for mage despite its cost. this + fireball on turn 9 is 10 damage more than enough of a finisher. as a spell it is affected by spell damage so its potentially 5 or even 6 damage. im kind of scary now for an otk heavy spell deck worse than freeze mage
It isn't hard to judge people. It's complete junk. Super situational. 99 out of 100 constructed games you won't even be in a scenario where Dragon's Breath is very good. It's absolutely horrible. It will be a dead card or overpriced removal almost every time. You do a couple of trades and you can't even finish the Yeti off he played on his turn 4. Super weak in both Constructed and Arena,
You need to first remove at least 2 minions for this card to be worth. Seems to be me this could only fit in a mage that focuses on board control or spell heavy control mage.

I didnt have My personal profile pic for a long time (since my start on internet) but when i start playing HS, after crafting Cabal Shadow Priest, It was a clear option for google, facebook, etc.. Since i start using Hearthpwn i can count at least seven diferent people with same profile pic, it seems to be very popular :D
So how does that mechanic work exactly. Do you have to kill minons first or can you refund crystals after you use it. The later would be a neat mechanic to test out. Anyone know for sure.

Flamestrike, plus 4 dmg free to Kelthuzad, FTW.
I've been dreaming about an easy way to destroy Kelthuzad plus his ENTIRE board, you know.
Perfect after Doomsayer!
I'd love a Malygos + Blackwing Corrupter + Azure drake spell damage deck tho.
Use the Corrupter as more burst damage to face.
Use 2 Fireball, 2 Flamewaker, 2 Frost Bolt + Ice Lance, 2 Dragon's Breath. GGWP.

Meta changes the moment you switch your deck.
Have a feeling that this card is going to beone of the suprises out of this adventure. Looks meh, but has potential to burst out a lot dmg.

Blizzard is trying to make Mage weaker in arena? Hopefully less fireball cards offered in drafting for my opponents :)

yeah i want to see the druid cards as a druid player but i guess since druid is already powerful they wont be something amazing
