Trash card. Running Stranglethorn Tiger just for this is beyond stupid. Druid doesn't have the synergy for this. It's going to be an almost guaranteed dead card for most of the game. Then it just gets BGH. Druid of the Claw bear and cat need to count as beasts before this is even remotely considered.
this card and its design makes me that that some of druid's cards are gonna be reclassified as beasts since they are already changing some cards to be mechs, why not make some new cards into beast? Druid of the Claw's cat and bear forms would make sense being beast since the guy is literally transforming into a animal. its actually odd that they aren't considered beasts. if they wanted to be consistent, they could give Ancient of War the same treatment. though it might be a tree being thingy, they could give it the same transformation ability and have 1 of the forms be beast and the other not? Keeper of the Grove and Cenarius though are centaurs, could possibly be considered beasts i dont see that happening.
Panther is actually the only druid card that is a beast. odd that only he is and none of the others are. stranglethorn tiger i could somewhat see being use in a dedicated build to use with this guy and maybe even ironbeak owl but oasis snapjaw i feel would only be useful if you ran Mark of the Wild unless they add more taunt givers in druid
Well there are other beasts other than druid ones, but I suppose for the mana cost maybe most people would want to include a different type of card. Maybe more druid beasts will be released in this set at some point.
I'd say it's pretty likely that there are several cards in GvG yet to be revealed that are Beasts and usable in Druid, so there's not really much to be said about this card's viability until we see those. If they add some strong 3-4 mana Beasts for Druid, then I'm sure this Druid will be pretty strong as well. That said, it seems pretty good in Arena already just with the Classic Beasts, since it's pretty common to end up with a good combination of stealth cats, raptors, crocolisks, turtles, and Kodos in the Arena.
Venture Co Mercenary have huge drawback, against paladin he can even loose a game after peacekeeper. I like this card more than yeti.
This card is more like giants in handlock, you need to set situation to get huge body for not lot mana. This card would be playable with few taunt givers.
I don't see how this card is good in constructed, it's just a vanilla 7/7 for 5 mana. Venture Co Mercenary has great stats for 5mana, 7/6 and doesn't see any play. What I'm trying to say is that the only vanilla minion that sees play in constructed is Chillwind Yeti in aggressive druid decks. Generally you need your minions to have an immediate impact, because constructed is so tempo intensive.
Yes, but Venture co. has a pretty big drawback, while this has none at all. I don't see any reason to why this shouldn't be played in constructed.
Not sure about the card, but turn 2 Haunted Creeper into turn 3 InnervateDruid of the Fang is scary. And creeper is already a part of the fast druid with double combo
P.S. Artwork sucks. Meaningless picture and not very pretty.
This is surely the worst artwork from the new expansion so far. Also its a weird card unless druid is getting a whole load more beasts. Why not make manbearpig and roboteddy beasts instead of mechs?
I like this card, it's moving Druids away from Treants and towards Beasts, and even tho' it's unlikely Druid has enough beasts to warrant this card in constructed it seems like a concept they could potentially build on if they want to create more Beast synergy for the class.
Also that's like a reasonably solid minion in Arena and gives your Bloodfen Raptor and Crocolisk drafts some extra utility to them,
Stonetusk Boar will get insane value in druid deck now. The lethal damage increased from 14 to 17 and you have potential to create a big threat for opponent.
We might see Ironbeak Owl in druid decks also, owl is good on its only with so many deathrattle minions playing in current meta already (there will be more in GvG).
People are over-criticising this card. It's not great but it's not bad neither and also I can see the possibility of Token druids using this since they have enough beast to justify it and doing too much effort to remove a 7/7 from the board but letting tokens behind is just too dangerous.
Stranglethorn Tiger fits a sweet spot on token druid (guaranteed 5 damage), Haunted Creeper gives you some tokens, Ironbeak Owl (in this particular case might be better thanKeeper of the Grove because it cost 2 less and is a beast) remove Taunts and FoN + Savage Roar for a good old classic finisher. Druid of the Fang would be more of a big and fat dude that could (along with Tiger + Savage Roar) do some massive damage.
But it all depends on where the meta is going and the other cards. Also Marlone (druid Legendary) is probably a beast.

Both Squirrels and Devilsaurs are beasts.

I'm pretty sure the Ancients are all trees.
However, I could see the beast forms and the Power of the Wild panther being reclassified as beasts. Even if they aren't, this card would work well in decks with the Stranglethorn Tiger, Ironbeak Owl, Oasis Snapjaw, and Maexxna.

I like this card, it makes the game more dynamic and gives druid more ways to play. Keep it comin' blizz.
Doesn't really give Druid more ways to play if he can't even use it because of the lack of Druid beasts.

I say finally beast cards have some value to another class, good move. but I'm hoping there are more upcoming beast related druid cards!

or even better, make them mech beasts.
Talking about your own avatar? ;)
trololol
Yeah, artwork is really bad, looks like shit.

Turn 2 Haunted Creeper into turn 3 Innervate + Druid of the Fang. 7/7 on turn 3, seems legit.

Kind of figure that they'll have to really be more beasts released for this guy to see any real play.
