Looks decent, certainly better than lava burst, altough more rng sucks.
I wonder if after few more expansions players' actions will even matter, because better rng on one side times the sheer amount of it may outweigh everything else.

Honestly though, not sure how to process this card. It can be an underpriced Lava Burst [/card] or an overpriced [card]Lightning Bolt; I can imagine that 3/4 the time you get value (4 damage or more).
To get the value of "3" mana, you really want 5 damage (on par with Kill Command), and for 6 damage you get 4 mana value (Fireball value). So 50% of the time, you get great value, 25% of the time, you're okay with yourself at 4 damage, and 25% of the time you lose one mana. Not too shabby but the RNG will make people shy away from this card in favor of what's already out there. I think it can see some constructed play just for the option of getting a Lava Burst out for way less.
pretty alright card. has the potential to deal 6 damage, 7 if you have your spell damage totem out, however, you may only deal 3 damage, making you basically pay double for a [card]Lightning Bolt[/card] but to be fair, thats a 1/4 chance of happening and i'd say a 3/4 shot of dealing +4 damage to a minion is rather nice. i think i'll replace one of the lightning bolts i run for it for the potential more damage
I think that this will be VERY good in arena, amazing value, but way too unreliable in (high) ranked. Being able to make efficient and reliable trades is just too important to let it be screwed up by bad RNG. Good card overall and pretty interesting!
Wow, people are way too caught up on the RNG factor. Lots of people have been cutting down on Lightning Bolts recently, and this card is mostly better. It has a 50% chance to be an underpriced Lava Burst (or even better), and 2 mana 1 overload for 4 damage is still good. It also seems like a strong burst Shaman card, and considering the strong 3/2 Windfury revealed that seems to be exactly what Blizzard is pushing.
If you've got a mana left in your current turn and cards in your hand that will utilize your mana next turn less one mana then you can afford the RNG effect as opposed to just wasting a mana this turn and next.
We have a new shaman card over from Gosugamers!

P.S. I'm now Billy.
RIP Lava Burst...

Poetic.
Great and well balanced card, can be a nice addition to future Malygos+Ancestor's Call deck.
My sides are in orbit.
Unbowed. Unbent. Unbroken.
Malygos approves many cards but the thing is no one approves Malygos if you know what i mean :)

Nice. Spell power shammy = viable now?
Deal 30 damage to your opponent. 50% chance to hit yourself :-D
New Card - Deal 1 to 30 damage to your opponent .

As a Shaman player, I'm excited about this card. Viable spell with low overload cost. Very nice. At worst it's Frostbolt damage. At worst!
Don't get me wrong this card is degenerate, but I think it is decent even you only do 3 for 2 mana. Shaman can play like Burn even more so now.

"Less" not "none".

This is true, but if you are looking at worst case, it's lightning bolt damage for one more mana :/
