In the control vs control you can afford the tempo loss. For other matchups (midrange and aggro, I'd be suprised if there are any combo decks) you should've already won with your removal a long time ago. Don't see how this wouldn't be an amazing card in warrior, warlock, and shaman. Delaying fatigue is pretty awesome.
Yeah I like it best in warrior. Warlock is also a possibility though control lock lost a lot of it's best tools so we'll have to see. If not this xpac maybe further down the road. Shaman is one of those classes that feels, even in a control state wants to go for some kill condition and struggles with staying alive longer than other control decks, but I could be dead wrong here. We still have a lot to see for the shaman class and neutral cards, not to mention the giant meta shift. I am wondering if druid might be able to run a control "heal" variant that could take advantage of something like this.
I be like "Daaaaaaamn boy, I want this one golden".
The meme's will be strong, the greed will be strong. They are making every archetype veeery strong. I am afraid of the meta, that will come.

8 mana endgame card but it´s a more then serious Elise replacement.... I realy like it already. But it´s a counter to Bombs and Hakkar as well as very serious fagitue defence so as already mentioned close to all control decks will run it ... Arena brought into all control duels ... While i like the concept i dislike auto include cards. I voted meta defining due to propably being played in 90% of all control decks. This should have been a shaman or maybe rouge card not global.
Why not run Nomi instead? If we have a control heavy meta, then combo decks will just be everywhere.
Not bad if you can play this when you're out of cards and then get 10 cards in your deck. If that's the case, this could definitely see some kind of use in a control deck.
i dont know if this has been said yet, but bomb warrior is most likely going to be a real deck. and keeping that in mind, it gets absolutely deflated if you remove all the bombs from your deck with this guy
An Archbishop Benedictous for all classes is ludicrous. This is an auto include in every control deck, this patches up Control Paladin's and Control Warlock's weakness in winning the fatigue matches, but since other control decks will be playing this too control matches will just go to a stalemate.
If the meta slows down even a bit (which it's looking like it will) then this will likely be a candidate for a nerf. I like to play control vs control but not when games always just end up going to the turn limit.
EDIT: OH yeah btw, this deletes the corrupted bloods from Hakkar. Let that sink in.
Omegalul, if Benedictous is played, you know atleast kinda what kind of deck your opponent is running and which cards you could get (since its constructed, it should be quite a good deck). If you play Archivist, it is totally random what you get. What if 2 of the 5 cards are crap? 40% of your deck is crap then. It is not that strong, come on, think a bit. Golden Monkey was way stronger, because the game was like "who draws Elise into Map into Monkey first" and/or who gets the better legendaries. Dont get ur jimmies rustled, bro
I would argue that drawing a trash card is still way better than taking fatigue damage, or taking a gazillion damage from bombs and corrupted bloods to your face.
Everything else about this card nonwithstanding, I was hoping Hakkar decks could be at least a little bit of a thing.
This being a neutral is insane. It is the Skulking Geist to Hakkar's Jade Druid . . . except Jade Druid was actually good, so it warranted a straight counter-tech.

Enjoying Americans winning in the Olympics is forbidden because it is political. A 14 plus page discussion of state-sponsored lawsuits against a multi-national corporation based on harassment, discrimination, and wrongful death allegations is apparently not political enough to raise an issue.
The thing is this card might not see much play in an aggro meta. It´s an 8 mana dead card in hand for a long time. Neither aggro nor combo will run it. Some midrange might include it to prevent fagitue against control and control will use it as it´s base fagitue protection and upcoming bomb counter. It´s one of the strongest tech cards ever printed.
I'm gonna craft this, it's gonna have an impact on tournament decks for sure, if not on ladder...I only wish it has Taunt (and a stat deduction of course, a 6/6 or 6/7?)
I honestly don't see this as a good "bomb" warrior counter. Obviously we have no fucking clue in reality so I am just kinda talking out my ass, but bomb warrior is gonna be hard to counter with just this card. The biggest issue here is that if you don't have a good hand with your win condition there already, replacing your deck may just as well loose you the game. Sure their bombs are gone, maybe, if they used them all. If they didn't then they'll just replace them. If you do wait till they use all their bombs it could very well be too late and you actually lost already.
It probably WILL slow them down. But now you have essentially five different randomish cards that need to not only keep you a live but give you a win condition. That is a tall order.
I suppose you could get lucky, draw this card at the right time (not too early), also draw into some solid control cards that you don't need to use (till after you played Archivist Elysiana), draw into your win condition as well, your opponent is out of bomb cards and effects, you are still alive cause you haven't drawn too many yet, then you can play this! Obviously there are other possibilities here. For instance you could discover 5 cards with exactly what you need. Or at least enough of them are what you need to stay alive and finish off your opponent. Again though, tall order.
Course bomb warrior may be crap and this is nothing to warrior about. Though I am not sure on that. Bombs can restrict draw effects and that is where it's power really lies.
I think her scope is essentially a fatigue only counter. Okay that isn't true, also a hakkar counter.

Because Nomi is a bad card. Dragoncaller Alanna filled your deck board with easier to fulfill condition and yet she saw nearly no play.

True but there are some things to keep in mind here. She was a mage only minion. That makes a difference. Nomi being a neutral means he could very well see play in a class that can better fulfill his condition. We'll have to see which classes those are after rotation for standard.
Ooooh so you won't hold one but TWO cards for the entire game trying to counter fatigue ticks, instead of trying to win the game with actual cards you can play. And then you do your 10 mana do nothing combo and copy a second Elysiana that you have to hold in your hand for 10 turns again.
First week of the expansion is going to be nice farming noobs lol. Please do.

I foresee many aggro decks taking great advantage of a value based xpac with many control tools rotating. Course this happens practically every xpac, soooo not like I am a seer or anything. Worse case the value based cards sets for this xpac sets up future xpacs.

The variability is holding this card back. But if we go hard control this meta. This is a must run

I will tech nozdormu to counter her lol
This card makes Hakkar sad
Hakkar needs support, not a nerf
Dust. This won't fit in my Face Hunter.

This card and Youthful Brewmaster
This card and Shadowstep
This card and Baleful Banker
This card and Seance
Tgis card is nuts!

Afaik discover looks only for neutral and the respective class cards.
