Given how easy this condition is, a free shadowbolt is absolutely great, but it doesnt give what rogues need... BOARD CLEARS
we have too many target removals already
Well isn't this due to class identity? Rogues are assassins and they deal with single-targets best. This is why they haven't gotten AoEs other than Vanish, Fan of Knives and pre-nerfed Blade Flurry over the years.
I like that they have put more thought into this archetype for rogue and are making better cards to support it. I really look forward to the newer cards with "a different class".
This is really, really insane. It helps shore up the biggest weakness of thief rogue, early game aggression, by giving you back the tempo you lost by playing your card advantage tools. Easily one of the best cards revealed so far.
This is a 0 cost spell, that deals 4 damage to a minion, i,e, makes a huge tempo swing, buffs Edwin or/and can be used as a cycle for Gadgetzan Auctioneer...
Where is the drawback?
the drawback is you're playing burgle rogue, which is generally terrible. You need OP cards like this to make weak archetypes work.
I could actually see something like thief rogue being the new quest rogue post rotation honestly. Control doesn't like dealing with an extra 40 cards in your deck.

Miracle rogue used to run Hallucination back in the days, because it cost 1 mana (it enabled synergies with the Auctioneer and was an activator for combo cards) and the discovery effect allowed you to find something useful sometimes. So you don't have to play a certain archtype, in order to benefit from the strong spell. You just have to find a powerful package for it.
And in this case the package would be a pirate one imo - Hench-Clan Burglar, Raiding Party, Southsea Deckhand etc. Not to mention, we have yet to see the rest of the set, so burgle rogue can get more powerful tools.

yeah, this is true. A burgle package is an option. But if you're only playing a package and not a whole deck there are gonna be times where you can't play this for 0 and that is the drawback, imo.
raiding party with the cutlass, and hench clan burglar does look pretty interesting. You can get something going like kingsbane rogue right before it was nerfed, but less busted.
Exactly. This is an amazing card. Zero cost, 4 damage removal? If thief Rogue takes off I will be pleasantly surprised. That would be a (Somewhat) new, original deck to start seeing on the ladder.
Insane tool for Burgle rogue, other rogues could even decide to add a small burgle package just to play this card!
I agree. I think we need about 6-8 good burgle cards to make this a consistent payoff card in a non-burgle deck. So we have 2x Blink fox and 2x Hench clan burglar. All we need is another good burglar card to make this package viable (I dont think Pick pocket and such are good enough for this purpose).

This card make Pick Pocket playable, the problem with Pick Pocket is you lose too much tempo to get value in a class can't afford that but if you get 3 cards for 6 and kill one 4 health minion (or two if you have x2 of this card) for free is an ok play.
Uhm, is this zero mana with the Coin? I remember that Lich King cards counted as a different class, does the Coin? If so, this card is absolutely insane if you go second, which Rogue likes to do anyhow.
Can anyone confirm this?

It is a bad card vs another rogue but the benefits trumps the drawback.
Yeah ... that's never gonna happen. It's intentional that Rogue has this weak spot.

Hench-Clan Burglar negates this drawback, but nevertheless I agree with you, that the spell becomes weaker in the mirror.

Great card and great design, fits Rogue perfectly with high tempo and burgle stuff.
Wow, Turn 3 Blink Fox Vendetta is a power move.
Talking about Wild, this is probably going to be discounted even if you are holding Tri-class cards like Aya. That's quite interesting!
My Wild Cutlass Thief, a rogue deck focused on Spectral Cutlass. Just reached #176 Legend with a 62% win rate from rank 5.
0 mana spell, you say? Maybe we can see some good old fashioned auctioneer miracle rogue.
I like how u thinking xD

This just goes in any Thief or Tess Rogue. Most run Eviscerate and this is strictly better.

Obviously very good in only one particular Rogue deck archetype. You wouldn't even consider this card in any other deck.
