I honestly believe this would also be a very strong card in Warrior or Shaman, since they can support with their Hero’s an outvalue strategy .
That's why I'm thinking that maybe something like a Hakkar-Liam package would have to be included. That way, all of your not-dying is eventually rewarded.
There are ways to discount Hakkar with Prism Lens and Jepetto. It looks/sounds like a super meme-y idea, but it may be all there is. Because without Uther, you don't really want to be setting your opponent back to 30 if Shrivallah-Wrath is your only wincon.
Well if tree of life was good for it's effect at 9 mana then this obviously is a 1 mana 4/12 with dragon tag right? Well obviously not that good as tree of life never really saw play, but this is in paladin which has a lot more healing synergy and in general it seems like it could be interesting... Also a good way for Priest to potentially force a draw in a control mirror match up. Priest steals this, uses some sort of healing into damage effect and both heroes go down.
So why are people that excited about this?Paladin has a large variety of different heals to choose from especially combined with kangor, which means most likely you wouldn't even need to heal fully.Against aggro at turn 10 you have already won with a few rare exceptions and against others this will benefit you as much as your opponent.Stats are very good for fighting the board, but so are Ysera's stats. And ysera actually is a large threat to your opponent. So why would anyone take this into their deck?
People are way overrating this card. Too late in the game vs aggro and midrange and you are spending your entire turn 10 just to heal yourself (and your opponent) and dump a pile of stats. Against control this card is useless and you’ll wish it did something more valuable.
Is this good though? Besides the memes? It seems really bad unless you can reduce it’s cost somehow? Trash vs aggro because turn 10 is a myth, 10 mana 4/12 heal about 15hp vs control also seems really bad.
I pondered on this card some more and yeah this card is definitely not what the Dragon paladin deck they are pushing towards needs I'm not convinced this will see any play outside of a dedicated Dragon deck because Paladin already has a plethora of good healing options so this is just overkill if you ask me. But this card will be sticking around for a long time so when those healing tools rotate out this will probably take their place but not exactly the most reliable choice for healing.

I think this card is overhyped.

New Auchenai Soulpriest Combo! Gotta find a way to make it work!
So Hecklebot on either Thekal or this Dragon means your OTK survival chances go way down. Or Shirvalla.
I do think if this does become a deck and other OTK decks run around.
Hecklebot will become a staple in almost all control and mid-range decks.
Nozari?
No, sorry.

With the cards we have currently, Hecklebot pulling this , is actually a great outcome, and a plus for this Legendary.

Its a good card, but its overrated.
Its also not a fair comparsion to Tree of Life. This dragon is a turn 10 play, while Tree of life was a turn 6 play...
Not 9 mana? Unplayable.
Yeah, Reddit is full of hype for this card.
Maybe if you could discover Nozari from something, it would be a nice choice sometimes...

Didn't Druids used to have a card like this? Well, it's good to see another class get this power; it's nice to see Paladins get a control card.
Exodia seems strong with this, maybe start running the gargoyle and the 3 mana 3/2 Deathrattle add 2 4/4 dragons to your hand. I’m excited
If your talkin wild that’ll work, Uther is leaving standard in rotation.
why?
Absolute trash legendary. Paladin hasn't had a truly great Legendary since Sunkeeper Tarim.
The Glass Knight is good but not great, as is is the new "your secrets trigger twice" card from this expansion. Good, but not great.
Dragon Paladin needed a legendary which would have the potential to swing the board in your favour. Instead, we get this nonsense.
