I thought this was a battlecry and I liked it a lot. After see it is combo I think its not good. So slow vs aggro, it would be much better as a 2/4, and not enough impactful vs control. We have 5 years of stupidly overcosted spells for rogue just because Preparation, now we will have a full year of shitty battlecries and combo cards just because Spirit of the Shark.
When judging cards of this extension correctly, people seem to forget that the powerlevel will drastically go down. Starting from there, the body 1/5 for 3 mana is not the most horrible thing in the world, 5 hp for a minion's rogue is even interesting in the idea of battlecry deck, with later buff possibilities (argus, lackey's effect, maybe more). The spirit of the shark will finally be able to show its true potential, believe me !!!a
Since Blizzard printed Jasper Spellstone, Defile, Ametyst Spellstone like cards, i dont believe Prep is holding them back from printing cheap spells.
Druid does it way better than rogue. Has more zero/one mana cost cards. i dont think prep is a problem.
As for the minion, stats looks horrible combined with combo. BUT they will release more lackeys, so i believe there will be better cards for rogue than this.
Rogue loves 1 cost combo activators, and I'm feeling like lacky's will be part of something bigger as we will get more and more lacky's as the year goes on.
If you consider it to be something like a "doubled" Firefly, it should be a 2/4 for 2 Mana. (I know that comparison is not completely justified, but you'll get the idea). So as the tokens are conditional, it seems a bit weak.
Maybe if there's more Lackey interaction. We'll see...
If minions would be class tokens (evolving one - shaman's card, ethereal - mage's card, etc) it would be so much cooler. Common, Blizzard, why not? I am disappointed... Give thief rogues more love...

People who call that garbage... LOL
This card looks very good. It is 3 mana "draw" two efficient high tempo cards + a 1/5 body. Compare that to a playable arena card Ravencaller, which is 3 mana 2/1 + draw "two" random 1 drops.
How about i just hit u with my hench clan in the face while u stack useless shit in your hand. U could be dead by turn 6. From Hunter or Warlock. Also its not 3 mana.
Oh, one of that classic - you'll be dead to aggro because you played one slow card with a delayed tempo...
OK. I'll tell what I'll do with your hench clan. Rogue vs rogue
Turn 1a You play a 1 drop Turn 1b I play a 1 drop Turn 2a You dagger up and kill my 1 drop Turn 2b I coin 1/5 Turn 3a you drop your hench and go face with the dagger Turn 3b I play 1\1 mana deal 2 damage to kill your 1 drop and evis your 4\4 hench Turn 4a - You are behind both in tempo and value and think hard how to get back into the game.
Does this answer your question?
Sure whenver u can guarantee coin. Sure if u can guarantee Lackey.
but you can't garuntee a Hench man thug.
this card is good because 3 mana is not very hard. this game is not as tempo based as some people think. I can play a card with sub optimal stats to have mana efficient cards the next turn.
this is like saying Arcane Intellect is a bad card because it does nothing for board, you just load up on hand while'a Hench clan thug hits you in the face'.

Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
Good value card, but a 3-mana combo card isn't the best for rouge at the moment. It's long-term use really depends on how good the future lackeys will be.
Stats-wise, this is 10 stats for 5 mana. Other cards with the same total stats have been printed and turned out pretty good, most often 5/5s though. Will the battlecries of the Lackeys turn out consistent enough? In arena, I definitely think so.
This combined with the newly released Rogue Scheme, this card is far better now. The ability to get a lackey that discovers a spell, means you can discover a lackey. This means you can shuffle this card OR the lackeys into your deck.
As I said in the other thread regarding the Scheme, Rogues will NEVER fatigue ever again. Ever. You can discover the Academy spell, or the Scheme and basically go infinite.
This card just got that much better because of the Scheme card. Once you get a lackey you like, you can have them all the time.
So it appears they are certainly pushing the Spirit of the Shark deck hard.

All of that is great...if the Rogue survives...which is still pretty difficult.
Spectral Cutlass is vulnerable to weapon removal...and frankly it's just not that great. Zilliax is a pretty limited use option (Pogo Hopper).
So yeh - Rogue is going to go infinite. But unlike something like Jade Druid or DMH Warrior, the lack of recovery is going to make going infinite less troublesome than it has been in other classes.
Rogue will thrive and survive against control and combo. They will not against Aggro, which is always the case. This card and others like it make it so it stays true in the new expansion.
For example, Pogo Rogue is really good against control. Very poor against aggro.
So I agree, they have to survive, but if people are playing control and combo, Rogue will do just fine.
I am just waiting to see what Aggro cards will be released to keep Rogue in check.
High value 3-drops like Stonehill Defender never saw play in Rogue, so this will need additional support to see play
Not a tempo or combo card, and Rogue traditionally is one of those two archetypes
Competes with HCT and SI:7
Not really a card you want to play on 3 in most cases, not really excited about playing a 1/5 on later turns either
So...we'll see. The Timmy/Johnny in me will probably try to make this work.
- Rogues have no need in expensive and\or understated neutral minion taunts. 1-4 taunt discover a useful card would have a good chance to see play in rogue. Shaku, low tempo 3 mana value card, did see some play.
- I'd actually say that this card competes with Blink Fox, HCTs+Si7s+Edwin will be in all rogue decks that care about tempo.
I honestly think this card is going to be performing well and will simply take the spot previously taken by Elven Minstrel. The biggest concern is whether a tempo/ midrange rogue will exist after the rotation (mainly concerned about lack of Vilespine Slayer) and whether you can play combo cards as easily now that you have lost Fire Fly.

I have a hope for something like 1 mana spell - discover a lackey to or any other 1 mana way to get lackeys

That was exactly my point, decks that don't include HCT right now are Maly Rogue, because it uses the weapon, which has direct synergy with the deck. This card will need to have some other reason besides pure value in order to run it. In the same way, Blink Fox disappeared from play until Spectral Cutlass got Academic Espionage.

Well, Blink Fox is played in some versions of odd and tempo rogue, I wouldn't say that it is played only in thief decks.

overpowered spare parts basically, and you get 2 of them! Seems like a ton of utility for some kind of midrange-rogue deck
Why u hav to be mad? is only card gaem.

This card interests me, but the 3 mana slot is pretty crowded for rogues at the moment.
I'm hoping that thief/espionage rogue can become a viable ladder deck with this expansion.
