I might be really late here, but i always wondered why Ship's Cannon is not a mech while Fel Cannon actually is a mech. Is it an Inconsistency or am i missisng something?
If I remember correctly from my WoW days, the fel cannon shoots by itself (doesn't need to be operated), so I guess that's why.
Edit: now that I think of it, piloted shredders need to be operated (like the pirate's cannon), but are considered mechs. So it's either an inconsistency or they don't consider "simple" cannons mechanical enough, idk.

fel cannon is sentient and the other one isn't.
but doesn't it make shredders none mechs? cause those need someone who pilots them
While stuff like Fel Cannon but also The Curator are not strictly mechanical, but they are enchanted with magic that makes them act on their own, while not being strictly alive.
I don't see the inconsistency or are you trying to tell us a crude late middle ages weapon equals a complex mechanical/magical being or a complex mechanical piloted machine. Even if, tribal tags are gameplay decisions not lore-consistent decisions to please you...
Dude I have 2 pages written full of HS’s inconsistencies. But this is NOT an inconsistency. Ship’s Cannon is controled by someone. Fel Cannon is not, it’s automatic, thus it can easily be given the Mech tribe tag.

what can i say, the game is plagged with a lot os inconsistency issues that blizzards knows and try to fix patch to pach, what is funny is how you asume im crying about this and want this changing "to please me", i'm asking because i want to know, or what, a parson can't do a question just because he or she doesn't know the answer?

ok, but, doesn't it make shredders none mechs?, cause i remember that mechs are mechanic automatons, and having a pilot, do them should be considered none mechs? or the complexity of their desings make them mechs even if they need a pilot?
So Target Dummy is more complex than a ship's cannon?
An explanation could be that the Dummy, as it is portrayed, includes a mechanism with gears and stuff, however simple, that make it automated or semi-automated (in popping up).
The cannon is a "passive" container that is filled manually with cannonballs and powder. No mechanism there. Such a cannon is not automated at all.
Because a cannon is not a mechanical being? .___. Fel cannon is a mech because it pilots itself with magic, to have a mech tag for a weapon it has have a will of it's own due to magic. Piloted Shredder is a mech for obvious reasons...Gundam anyone?
With that thought process in mind I guess that means Dozing Marksman or any minions in general with a gun are supposed to be considered a mech because weapons = mech?

Lol.
I can get your pont, but, well, you literally went to the other extrem, being that minion not the weapon but the guy whose holding it. Even with "that" in mind your example is wrong

Welcome to HS, where consistency is an unknown word to Team 5.
For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?

Makes sense, one is automated while the other needs pirates to fire it.

Piloted Shredder includes the pilot who appears when the Shredder is destroyed. Ships Cannon can just lay there.
Also, Ship's Cannon is a crude contraption, Piloted Shredder is a complex mechanical object.

It really wouldn't matter either way though, it's not like people would play mech-pirate because of this.
Unpopular opinion: Rogue is OP

eh.... i'm lost now

In order for it to be a mech it needs a computer chip
Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
That which we call a rose
By any other word would smell as sweet;

If I can come across a Pirate Warrior with quest and taunts then anything is possible in the realm of memes xD
