You guys that think Griftah is garbage are completely effing clueless. Tanglefur Mystic was/is a very decent card in odd rogue, for example. This card is better than that because of the discover effect. Griftah also gives you multiple options:
Pick two good cards and roll with it
Pick one bad and one good if you like even more RNG
Pick both bad because you don't need a card and your opponent does
Do NOT disenchant; not only is it better than "playable", it's also stupid to disenchant a legendary when you plan on opening more card packs in that particular set. Griftah is unique with its effect and more importantly it's fun. I think you're nuts if you want to disenchant a fun, playable legendary.
Griftah is really fun, but not terribly good (not as bad as people say either), play with him now when people arent netdecking and theres a lot more experimenting. Maybe dust him in a few weeks for something more top tier, but honestly i recommend just throwing him in your decks because the entertainment factor is pretty high.
That said, I think grifttah is an underated card. Good stats + an ability that is not great but better than nothing. Think the card will see play in at least 1 high tier deck in the next 2 years.
But golden... So dust it when you stop opening packs and need the dust.
Possibly the worst card ever made in any card game
Monacle of Clarity from Jyhad Shahrazad from MtG
There are more things in heaven and earth, Horatio, Than are dreamt of in your philosophy.
You watch your filthy mouth.
Shahrazad is an incredible card, for so many reasons. And none of them include being a scumbag and playing 4x copies and trolling people. That's retarded.

Got it in a pack so i threw it into my quest warlock for discard fodder the cards generated are never game wining for either side and they will always be for your class which is relevant
Griftah is by far not as bad as people make it: let's say hearthpwn voted him as the worst card since ever. If hearthpwn-community says it's bad, then there MUST be something good about this card ;-)
Heck, people here said that the 3 mana 3/4 do nothing-card for paladin is the strongest card ever. And i still think that compared to it, Griftah is still far stronger. Or where are the many decks with this so overpowerd card. I can see more decks with Griftah being played than with this crap.
I highly doubt he will ever see competitive play, but there are certainly worse cards to put into your deck. Griftah is not too shabby in control decks against aggro. Pick removal/aoe that isn't useful for your opponent. Get some discard-synergy in Warlock, Armour in Warrior, etc.
i've been playing Griftah in hunter and man that changed my opinion,As long as you aren't playing against another hunter most of the cards you discover are beast sinergy cards that only you can use so you discover two things that help your beasts and get one you can use anyways while your opponent gets some random beast support card he can't use ifhe doesn't run beasts, giving The Beast Within to a cubelock or odd warrior while getting a Timber Wolf is really good, you get some small help and actually clog your opponent's hand
That card being this way creates a dilemma where you need to take a decision about choice both good cards or both bad cards unless you're using the specific decks that it fits in like totem shaman for example. Actually, The card was specified for players that love this kind of choices, so you have to figure out how to use it....
I use it in my Leyline Mage. It's comparable to Stonehill Deffender cause it's neutral.
Griftah... is comparable... to Stonehill Defender...
...
... I give up.
In that specific deck really is.
The deck try to get the maximum cards don't start in your deck to maximize the Leyline effect, so, Griftah is comparable to Stonehill because they do similar things.

Treat it like a mechanical yeti and don't get greedy and it's allright. Not great, but allright.

I will say this, I do love the design of the card. Kind of a variation of "The Prisoner Dilemma" within card design. Pretty cool.
Absolutely keep it...not because it's good but so you don't get it from a Rastakhan pack again and get the good legendaries from the packs.
Once you got the ones you want or want 1 more legendary then Disenchant it.

It's golden. Disenchant.

Surrender to Madness makes it look like a good card.

I got one in my pack opening. And it is one my easiest disenchant of my life :) Never looked back.

Griftah is fine. Playing him in big spell mage. On occasion gave opponent worse cards for them to play from their hand then for me to play in mine.
Stuff like secrets are allot better to give to opponent when you know what they are.
Not sure if hyped yet.

It is bad, if you get another one in pack is 1.200 dust trow away.
The card is sure trash and dusting value but only after you decide don't will buy packs for the expansion anymore.
Millhouse Manastorm, Duskfallen Aviana, Harbinger Celestia, The Boogeymonster, Lorewalker Cho, Majordomo Executus, Moorabi, Bolf Ramshield, Magma Rager, Warsong Commander, Gurubashi Chicken, Angry Chicken, Silverback Patriarch --> There are plenty of worse cards out there. Just because Griftah is relatively unexciting it doesn't mean he is also terrible.

Dont bash Shahrazad! I used to play it just to hear the groans from everyone at the shop.
Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
