This is some next level "I've got a lot of free time" post... hahahaha But seriously, nice job though, I just hope Arena Fanatic will se more play than it's thought.. love handbuff decks :D
I think it's quite possible that some kind of midrange beast hunter will resurface with this expac, between the Untamed Beastmaster and Master's Call ... as well as Revenge of the Wild and Oondasta. The synergy between the beastmaster and master's call is pure insanity tho.
What? My favorite card Griftah is actually the worst? I already heard people don't really like the card, but it's not a completely terrible card. It's probably about as good as Tanglefur Mystic if not better. I looked it up: It was at place 106 in the Witchwood compendium with 41,9 %. Sometimes the community is really stupid. Or how exactly is this supposed to be worse? I guess it's a Legendary and not just a "pack filler". Most people around here are just way too competitive and don't like such fun cards. That's just disappointing.
Yeah, the hate Griftah gets is too much. Spellslinger was acceptable, and you had much less control over it than with Griftah.
Why is Revenge of the Wild overrated? ich cant think of any game where this card wouldnt be useful.
Hunter has multiple Tier 1-2 Decks and every Hunter Deck is able do play/summon alot of (strong) Beasts.
Play Deathrattle Hunter trade the 5/5 Dino from the Egg -> revive , use it on bigger Beast like Charged Devilsaur > game winning
this card lets you trade in your whole board and get it back for only 2 mana and as hunter it isnt hard to get alot of beast or strong beast on the board

Lol Yeti is much better than Griftah. Just a legendary filler of the expansion.
Calling it now, Void Contract will be the most salt-inducing card in a couple weeks and combo/control decks will be once again complaining about how Warlock always gets good disruption tools.
This "too slow" card will see play because Twisting and Rin both saw play.

2 mana, take 8 damage, discard 2 cards in your hand + 13 cards in your deck. Are you sure you wanna do this on turn 1 or 2 to disrupt potential late game ?
Vs a combo/OTK deck - hell yes. The less chances you have of winning the bigger risks you have to take. If you're playing a control deck, normally you have to somehow assemble enough tempo to rush down an OTK deck before they draw their win condition. T1 destroy 15 cards has the highest chance of ruining their OTK and evening the matchup.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
I think that people are REALLY undererestimating Griftah: Personally i can see decks where Griftah is maybe not a key, but a good addition for it as a 4 mana draw a card. Some decks do not care about giving your opponent a card.
And i would not wonder if he is played (maybe not now or in the first 1-2 months, but later) more than High Priest Thekal; probably the most overrated card of the expansion.
Void Contract will stop infinite decks, which there are alot now. I don't think infinite decks are an issue unless everyone starts to play very greedy and very late game decks. In that case, you can use this to hopefully snipe their infinite cards.
The card is otherwise not playable in a good way.
I think Revenge of the Wild is really really powerful, but it IS a win more card. Take these simple scenarios....
1. You have the board with 2 beasts and your opponent has no minions. They can use a spell/minion to clear the board or play a minion to contest the board. You smash your beasts in, then for 2 mana get them both back and still maintain the board. If this is turn 4, you can play Hyena with this and really snow ball.
2. You both have minions on the board. You trade your minions away and for 2 mana get them all back, while taking their board out. For 2 mana. This card simply existing means that your opponent has 2 choices. Go face and go full aggro or trade and never leave any beasts remaining on the board.
3. You have no board and your opponent does, let's say 4 minions. For 5 mana, you play the summon the dogs and Call of the wild. Thats 2 damage AOE for 5 mana for Hunter.
The card is very good and will see play. If the meta cannot remove beasts on a regular basis or cannot trade into minions, then this card will run away with games. If any of your beasts have Rush or Charge, it gets even better.
The community usually sucks at rating these cards. People tend to look at them in a vacuum rather than how they would fit into a deck so I'd take these with a grain of salt. Some cards are just obviously really good and will eventually see play but those cards are usually really simple like Kobold Librarian
Revenge of the Wild and Da Undatakah are severely and, sadly after seeing the whole expansion set, extremely overrated and will see next to no play. Maybe Undatakah in Hadronox druid with Astral Tiger for infinite taunt nightmare but other than that I don't see it. I hope revenge of the wild makes Boomzooka less of a laughable card at least.
It depends on how you define "meta-defining". If you mean they'll spawn new archetypes or provide massive counters to current decks, then sure Mojo and Gonk deserve to be on there. But if you mean they're going to be incredible cards that are seen all the time, no way.
Sure, Mojo is nice against druids, but against every other class, you are putting both of you at 5 mana, with your opponent getting to go to 6 before you. As a curve play, you are actually losing out on one mana over your opponent if they had coin. As an off-curve play, I can't see what deck would want to play this. What benefit do you get from it unless your opponent is ramping hard?
Gonk is awesome, don't get me wrong, but with much better druid decks already available and barely any incentive to build around this card (not enough to synergy yet IMO), I can't imagine this will see widespread play. Will someone come up with a viable deck? Probably. I may even try. But it's definitely not meta-defining.
Maybe Revenge of the Wild is slightly overrated but there is no way this doesn't see play. Resurrecting even 3 mana worth of minions makes this a gain. Sure, it's not auto-include in every deck, but there are so many decks that will give it value that this will for sure be played.
What? The whole "Enrage" effect has never worked that well so why would it work now?
In the case of Spellzerker: It's a better Evolved Kobold in mage. More flexible than that card in any situation. In even mage, it's one mana cheaper than Cosmic Anomaly, and in any other burn deck the redundancy might be welcome. Amazing card that does not deserve to be that low.
In the case of Dozing Marksman, doubt it will see serious play, but it is still far from the 12th worst card. Enrage is not a competitive ability, but I feel people overlook that this is as good as enrage cards get, and will be a good tool for people that want to make enrage work. So it deserves a much better ranking than 12th worst. Also, there have been enrage decks that have worked just fine.

I am ready to be dead wrong on Revenge of the Wild but I believe it's extremely overrated.

Booty Bay Bookie might see play in some specific combo decks. Giving your opponent a coin means you can steal it with Azalina Soulthief
This is some next level "I've got a lot of free time" post... hahahaha
But seriously, nice job though, I just hope Arena Fanatic will se more play than it's thought.. love handbuff decks :D
I think it's quite possible that some kind of midrange beast hunter will resurface with this expac, between the Untamed Beastmaster and Master's Call ... as well as Revenge of the Wild and Oondasta. The synergy between the beastmaster and master's call is pure insanity tho.
Just for comparison, here's what another piece of "the community" has to say:

Revenge of the Wild is overrated af. Mojomaster Zihi will be meta defining, clearly the best and most powerful card in this set.
Play Deathrattle Hunter trade the 5/5 Dino from the Egg -> revive , use it on bigger Beast like Charged Devilsaur > game winning
this card lets you trade in your whole board and get it back for only 2 mana and as hunter it isnt hard to get alot of beast or strong beast on the board
the tempo swing this card provides is just insane
Lol Yeti is much better than Griftah. Just a legendary filler of the expansion.
Tekal and Undatakah no 2-3? The community is as wrong as always :)
Calling it now, Void Contract will be the most salt-inducing card in a couple weeks and combo/control decks will be once again complaining about how Warlock always gets good disruption tools.
This "too slow" card will see play because Twisting and Rin both saw play.
Coin + Bloodbloom + Void Contract, lets go!

Some severely underrated cards here. Starting from the bottom: Griftah, Dozing Marksman and Spellzerker and Shirvallah, the Tiger.
The community usually sucks at rating these cards. People tend to look at them in a vacuum rather than how they would fit into a deck so I'd take these with a grain of salt. Some cards are just obviously really good and will eventually see play but those cards are usually really simple like Kobold Librarian
What? The whole "Enrage" effect has never worked that well so why would it work now?
