Krag'wa, the Frog: How many spells are you really going to play in a turn as shaman? Can yo afford to just drop a 6 mana 4/6 afterwards? (because you'll probably be overloaded). With Hagatha already giving you spells, do you really need an extra spell generator?
Devastate: Execute is better and in odd decks you already have Shield Slam (which also costs one and will probably deal more damage because of the hero power and Emberscale Drake
Former Champ: cards like this have existed before in times where there were also double battlecry and evolve effects, and never saw play.
Aside from that,
Spellzerker: 2 stars - This seems entirely reasonable in an Aggro Mage or Even Paladin.
do enjoy reading these reviews of yours haha. I'd make some of my own, but I'm just too lazy. I always think about making video reviews. Maybe next time
Well, for one, I do quite well with my own odd Druid deck, and I did quite well with a feral Druid style deck almost two years ago. It just isn’t explored much by the all-powerful “meta”. But with Brian Kibbler talking a lot about it recently, I can imagine that the sheep will start lining up at some point.
There’s an awful lot of group-think in Hearthstone, and especially here on Hearthpwn.
I agree. If you look at Control Druids, they are capable of keeping you at bay for long stretches of the game without putting minions on the board. Armor, Spreading Plague, and the Spellstone all work to simply stall the game while they armor up, ramp up, and draw cards. I could certainly see a scenario where you have plenty of time to line up your Gonk and hero power to do insane amounts of damage, and then hit your opponent's face with huge amounts of damage.

I'm still not sure why that's good? Maly does the same thing and doesn't have to worry about Taunt.
I think your neutral legendaries are off... Zihi sounds like it could be pretty crazy depending on the meta... It’s definitely at least a 3. The Undertaker is 100% one of the strongest cards of the set, with imaginable play from deathrattle hunter, rogue, and paladin, as well as taunt druid. Griftah on the other card... Is total shit.

Possible 25-26 damage from HP enchants, and a Gonk that's easy to tutor and bring back.
Don't know if its good, but its definitely not impossible.
The only problem that I have with your ratings, and I don't mean this in a bad way, is that it seems your reviews tend to incline in what is currently being played rather than the potential of the card itself
Example, I would rate firetree witch... higher when you seem to deduct a star only because it is not odd. I get your reasoning from a current meta perspective, but who knows what may come next in a few weeks.
I'm not sure what Ak'ali and the Lich King have to do with each other beyond their mana cost. Do you mind elaborating?
You know what, I take that back, I think 2 stars fits Akali. I meant that in turn 8 there will often be a lich king in the way to prevent you from overkilling stuff with Akali and, from a deckbuilding perspective, I rather run something else, which might change once the lich king rotates.

I'm sorry but I don't understand this comment. Did you just create an account and replied to my comment copying Anatak89's reply to the original thread?
Apparently you like doing this, so more power to you.
I just see no point in doing another short-sighted prediction when there are so many, and most people play it safe and say things will largely stay the same. Some cards get way overrated, many cards get severely underrated, and months later, it's just "whoops, but everyone makes mistakes".
Try to estimate a card's lifetime potential instead or think a little more outside of the box, otherwise it's rather boring. Especially, when you try to sound edgy.
Sidenote: I don't know why everyone calls their card ratings "reviews" before the release. You can't really "review" anything before you at least tried it out. It's a preview, that's what it should be called and how it should be treated.
I don't know why a couple people insist on making fun of this "review". Call it whatever you want to call it. He's just posting it for the sake of discussion. No need to post ding dong comments like Mr. Dunscot here, saying we can't call this a review, or someone else earlier who had their comment removed haha.
It's also fun to go back and look at what people say about cards, after the cards have officially been released. See where people completely missed or completely hit. If you don't like it, ignore the thread and move on.

This is the part of reviews that I like most. It's fun to see where we were wrong, and why we were wrong.

Also, reviewing cards before they are introduced into the game and then going back and reviewing those reviews is a good way of testing and improving your knowledge of the game.

I would say theorycrafting with explanation of the cards you chose and why would be time better spent. This is just the lazy alternative.
What formula you using for value/stats? I know traditionally cards were expected to have stats = mana cost * 2 + 1 in order to be considered average. I'm sure people assign different values to Taunt, Lifesteal, Rush, Divine Shield, Windfury, etc.
Don't think I don't appreciate the job you've done, but I was honestly hoping this would be Ben Brode's review.
Interestingly, people said that last time, too.

This review is too soon imo
That's the point!
I always check back later to see how I did.

Do you really think so? Besides Treespeaker, I'm not sure any of the cards it got look too interesting. Maybe the Big Beast stuff after rotation.

Why not both? Also, if you knew the time these took, I don't think "lazy" would be the word to use.
