Fits the classic trend of low cost pirates. But awful with the legendary and awful with where I want to see pirates go. The tribe has always just been a worse murloc.
Even/kingsbane rogue looks better and better, bad with the legendary but who said that deck would play that legendary? (intended aggro deck doesn't run 8 drops)
No, rogue is by default one of the most expensive classes in the game, the only cheap rogue deck ever was un'goro quest rogue which only needed the quest and a bunch of commons and rares asides from Preparation, with some people running patches on the deck as well but patches being just ncie to have and not needed
Bad to pull off Captain Hooktusk, great to play from hand after playing Captain Hooktusk. This is the strongest support we've yet seen from Rastakhan for Aggro Pirate Rogue, and it synergises with Spirit of the Shark.
Imo this card is only worth playing when you have at least 2 pirates on board, because playing a 2 mana 1/1 or 2/2 vanilla rush minion is probably not worth it (unless one of your pirates on board is Southsea Captain). This requirement is harder than it sounds as in order to play this optimally on turn 2 you need to have coined two 1-cost pirates on turn 1. Alternatively you can play it later than turn 2, but then you're playing off curve, and most of the time your opponent will be able to clear and trade into your board enough by this stage that you won't have many pirates left on board. This is fine if you're an aggro deck looking to dump lots of small things as quickly as possible, so that you'll be able to guarantee a high-tempo outcome from Bloodsail Howler, but the big problem here is that this kind of deck runs out of steam extremely quickly. Rogue are getting Raiding Party, so perhaps this playstyle will be viable.
Even if this were evaluated outside of the context of the Legendary, I am pretty sure this is bad.
I guess the dream is Even rogue, Dagger on 1, Sharkfin fan + attack on 2, attack again on 3, play this for 4 ATK (fan + 2 tokens), and re-dagger. That will happen some amount of the time, but it seems like a lot of work for a 4/4 on 3...which is good, but it's not even THAT good.
Considering the Legendary, I don't think you want this at all.

you misspelled warrior, priest, druid ( and warlock, paladin in some occasions)

Whaat? I have to disagree with this one. Rogue it isnt very expensive class. Quest rogue was 4k-6k dust. Which is not that cheap but considering the fact that some Warrior or Shamn decks cost 10k+ it is a cheap class. Mill Rogue was also very cheap
I'm going against the grain to say this isn't unreasonable in Pirate decks not running Captain Hooktusk (or Keleseth, that's the killer here). If your 1-drop Pirate sticks, this is a 2/2 with Rush that helps clear your opponent's turn 1 play. It also scales well later in the game, but only if you're able to stay ahead. Can be drawn with Raiding Party as well.
If Pirate Rogue does succeed, it won't be off the back of this card, but I think it'll make the cut in a post-Keleseth world.
Actually, this might be pretty disgusting in wild. Turn 1 swashburglar/southsea deckhand + patches. If unanswered, you can drop 3/3 on turn two, or 4/4 if youcoin out another pirate.

That's what I was thinking too but then I remembered that Pirate Odd Rogue is still probably better and this card is even
Did you expect to get a good Pirate that doesn't have most of its value in his Battlecry, which would be insane with Rush and would be amazing to pull out of your deck with Captain Hooktusk?..
Yeah I think the only Pirates you’re going to want to play are the ones that make Hooktusk OP. This isn’t one of them. Hopefully one of the last 2 Rogue cards is a dope pirate with huge stats.
Needs at least 2 pirates to be good (2 mana raging worgen). Seems easy with the new 2-mana pirate that summons a pirate when you attack. Ironically this is much stronger than any of the rush/rush-synergy cards warrior has gotten in Rastakhan

Blah.
Ever heard of budget Rogue deck? Because it will appear in the list of these decks in Hearthpwn once Rastakhan's Rumble comes out.
I like elementals and totems.
Ok so basically... I'm monky

Furious George! What have they done to your beautiful face?

- Bad at 2 mana.
- Anti-synergy with Captain Hooktusk
- Not sure it will see play.
