A high cost card that does random damage, and get powered up by claiming board control.  If a cheap pirate with spell damage came out, this card could be a disgusting combo piece.

Good synergy with Sharkfin Fan, I think Even Rogue is coming.

That's a lotta damage! I'm sure at the very least a wild pirate rogue can make use of this potential burst. Making multiple pirates and prepping this isn't that in wild.

This is not a control type of card since it can also hit face. I rather say it will be used in aggro decks. Imagine on turn 10 2 Southsea Deckhand 2 Bloodsail Corsair (even doesn't have to be 1 cost minions if you have Prep), your opp can take at least 12 damage with a clear board

Control? Midrange? Lol this is purely aggro. With that Sharkfin Fan you can prep this card anytime and seize the board back. Even pirate rogue is gonna be the $#!%, believe me.

Aw fuck so now Rogue doesn't even have to go Odd to blow me up with aggro? Bucaneer + Patches turn 1, Weapon turn 2, Captain turn 3, the new pirate that summons a pirate on attack turn 4 with reweapon, next turn, another pirate prep this and you can take anything from 3 to 15 damage from this thing depending on how many of the pirates are still on the board. Seeing the popularity of Cold Blood in Odd Rogue now, win more cards definitely have their place in all-in decks.

So many people keep talking about how Even Rogue is gonna be great. You do realise that putting only even-cost cards in Rogue gives you no value whatsoever. And cuts half of their more useful cards for no reason.

 I try even rogue before and always look a decent deck only lacking a little more suport like the even shaman card 2/3, this new pirates kit maybe is that suport.

Turn 1 weapon sinergy very well with cost 2 pirates, I don't call "no reason" here.

 Dude... this card costs 6. You can't run it in Odd decks.

 This 100 percent.  You need Cold Blood...you need Leeroy.  I don't buy any aggro deck will be competitive without those cards unless they have other ridiculous synergies like in Zoolock.  I think this card could be insane if go wide becomes the theme, because Preparation is amazing.

Hopefully Rogue will have a pirate hero that will count towards this card

 For now you have 6 good 2 cost pirates having sinergy with 1 cost weapon from hero power.

The finishing is not so good like odd cost cards but the starting is very strong.

Two more good pirates in cost 2 or 4 (0 maybe?) and the deck will see play.
