Control Warlock is a thing , with Demonic Project 's help against OTK. At first i don't like the card when i opened it but when i play with it it felt very good .
Here's why : at late game it's 5/5 that demands an answer , but if you combo it with Baleful Banker then there's 2 cases if the opponent kills it or you trade to kill it :
_it comes back , you still have 1 Dr Morrigans in the deck .
_you pulls usually another big card , you have 2 Morrigan in the deck .
I have played the game where the opponent kills it turns after the turns but it keeps coming back , he can not ignore it completely because it's a 5/5 can hit face at mid-late game , at that time you have to clear the board and that's when Morrigan is good . Usually it's better that you do this when you have about 10 cards or more in the deck . I have not tried it with Augmented Elekk or Carnivorous Cube and Spiritsinger Umbra , but it seems not bad . In wild you have N'Zoth, the Corruptor , is insane if you can pull it off .
This Morrigan - insult makes me think about Spell Hunter when the archetype was introduced and cards like Rhok'delar and To My Side! were making fun of , but the deck is good now .
She ugly af so I DE'd for The Boomship. Slightly regrettable, but I haven't played Warlock in ages and I play about 5-6 Warrior decks atm that im having fun with.
You're right, she is very underrated atm, but with warlock already having quite a few ways (not including hero power) to pull minions from their deck and hand, she seems useless. If it was a slower meta and zoo wasn't back in full swing, I'd maybe have messed around with her. I think she'd be great in wild where most matches go +20 turns (at least in my experience). For now, the 400 dust was worth it.
I wouldn't really say that she demands an answer by herself. She is a vanilla 5/5 afterall.
I think we should address the elephant in the room and that is the question about why you'd rather shuffle Dr. Morrigan into your deck as opposed to something more impactful that you'll use before you are literally in fatigue. Going infinite by shuffling things back into your deck can help with some fatigue matches but it isn't something that is that crazy nowadays, especially when Miracle Rogue does this so much better.
HSReplays suggests that Dr. Morrigan has a pretty good "win-rate when played" of 52% - but the number is misleading, since she's a dead draw against Aggro and Combo and simply doesn't get played in her bad match-ups. Looking a little bit deeper at the numbers, Control Warlock lists which choose to include Dr. Morrigan have an overall win-rate of 45%, while CW lists that choose not to include her have a win-rate of 51%. The lists which run Dr. Morrigan typically don't run Giggling Inventor, since it's a terrible target for the deathrattle, but Giggling Inventor is statistically among the best-performing cards in current Control Warlock lists - hence the low win-rate for the lists which choose not to include the card.

Like you said , when she get play there’s high chance that you would win that game . Because of that ,she is not a “bad card” . You can also cheat her out with Silver Vanguard on turn 7 . Then on turn 8 you can cube or another combo . You can win control match up this way . With another match up you need to stay alive .
Pretty useless card, your explanation didn't make it any better, at that point of the game you are either already winning with your Guldan or you aren't. I rather run the mechCthun alternate win condition against other control/combo decks.
There is no point in dusting legendaries any more as the no duplicate rule is applied, except for when you want to lose 1200 dust... And new expansion will bring support for this card as the same happened with Toggwagle you just need to be patient. Although I really want to dust Kangoos army, i hate it, but still going to keep it.
I will tell you for me. I play her at rank 5 and got to rank 3 mostly vs big priest and control decks. Then back to rank 5 cause a lot of aggro decks...fml

Well that’ not true.
But it is now smarter to wait with the disenchanting of legendaries until you are done opening packs from any given set.
Example: If you already purchased the Boomsday packs you wanted and if you do not play Arena, then you are free to disenchant your Boomsday legendaries. If you However are not done purchasing Boomsday packs or still playing Arena then you should wait until next expansion.

So you're saying, instead of playing an 8 mana 5/5, you'd play a 7 mana 3/3? Also, he never said that when Dr. Morrigan gets played there's a high chance of winning. In fact, he said the exact opposite, "Decks that run Dr. Morrigan over Giggling Inventor on average have a much lower win rate". Would you rather have a refined, consistent deck that runs very powerful tools against aggro and control (Exhibit A, Giggling Inventor) or a deck that runs an 8 mana 5/5 that is useless against aggro and control? Play the matchup in your head. You're playing, like you said, control Warlock and your opponent is playing, I don't know, death rattle Rogue. You're losing the board, so you can't play an 8 mana 5/5 or else you're just asking for suicide. In the other case, you're winning the board, but then you skip a turn by playing an 8 mana 5/5, which under any scenario will just be left ignored, gives your opponent an opportunity to clear the board and establish control, while he ignores you're 5/5 that has a chance of potentially helping out a little. Do you know why Madam Goya was a trash tier card? Because her effect was next to useless, if not making things worse for the player himself. It didn't help with the board, and more often than not it just pulled a 2/1 off your 8/8. Now imagine that, but put onto something more expensive with a relatively worse body, and a much worse version of the same effect.
P.s. you say this after I just opened and dusted a golden morrigan.
Thanks bro. She was my free legendary and i liked your combo :)
Glinda Crowskin was my WW legendary, and for the first time i used her in wild a few days ago, playing a fun warlock deck. Mechwarper + Zilliax can give you a board with +200 of stats easily lol
I was happy when I opened it in golden. I'm only playing Warlock, so collecting all the class cards (even if they are crap) is important for me. And I have some hope for a Big Warlock in the future. Has to be a reason for the 8 mana price. Have some potential, just look at expensive charge minions, deathrattle synergy or whatever... Finding big minions constatnly from a spell-based control deck sounds fun. Maybe it could perform well in a less silence-heavy meta.
And yeah, failed Juggler + Umbra OTK makes me sad too (but it is reasonable).

Playing Hearthstone since Oct 2015. Favourite class: Warlock.
Aaaand I have 99 skills, but the english language ain't one. :D
Dusting non-golden legendary cards at any time seems risky to me, but particularly right after a new expansion. There have been a lot of cards folks slept on which wind up being good. Or at least just fun. I regret having dusted my Herald Volazj before the Weasel Tunneler priest deck was invented. A month and change into the new meta game? Yeah, probably safe most of the time.
Golden, though? That's enough dust for any other legendary minion.

Hard to say on the deathrattle synergy - if deathrattle warlock becomes a thing, my guess is it would have to be because they've printed way better deathrattle cards than Dr. Morrigan, and even if they do - why run her, over say Cairn Bloodhoof? As for expensive charge minions, I think we can kiss that mechanic goodbye now that rush is here (to stay). Leeroy is a prime candidate for Hall of Fame, and Doomguard is already being cheated out with a cheaper, more effective card in Cabal Lackey...
Leeroy is a prime candidate for Hall of fame according to who?
I bought 2 more packs yesterday with gold and got her. But I don't dust legendaries. Learned my lesson on doing that and won't do that again. And even though right now she's not great maybe someone hasn't figured out the great combo to make her "switch" with yet? Or she could have future cards that she will synergize with greatly.
