Good read, and while I disagree with some of your assessments - A for an effort.
essentially what i wanted to say. was a very interesting read. i really like some of your assessments and the reasoning behind them like loose specimen or juicy psychmelon for example.
of course i disagree with some of your predictions: Glow-Tron in my opinion is the strongest one drop ever printed and i am pretty sure it will be meta defining. also i think you are underestimating the druid spell. furthermore i dont like the "i think mage will not be tier 1 so all of it's cards are one star" approach.
my prediction is that Whizbang is actually terrible. this is probably the most hyped card since the hunter quest, and i think their power level is comparable. Of course it gives you 18 decks to play with, but if only about 4-5 of them are at a playable powerlevel the card is still a meme card and nothing serious. also your dust calculations are wrong (you add up cards that are featured in more than one deck, and you treat those cards as if they were used in optimized, working decklists which, again, i highly doubt). whizbang might be a fun card but it definitely is not a good card. 2 stars MAX.
Pageturner, you’re a legend. I remember reading your Witchwood review and being simultaneously entertained and intellectually inebriated. Thanks for this (again) and I hope I do something that you find awesome someday. :D
I have to say I disagree with your analysis on the Psychmelon. I think you're comparing it too much to Druid's other draw cards and thinking too much about its value aspect. The thing is, I see juicy psychmelon as a staple in Taunt and Maly Druid as a one-of in Standard, due to the fact that you are guaranteed to draw your Malygos/Hadronox/Oakheart that's sitting at the bottom of your deck. No matter how much Taunt Druid can draw, they always lose if Hadronox and Oakheart are at the bottom of the deck. This card can bring consistency to Taunt and Malygos druid by letting them always draw their key combo card.
With that being said, I really enjoyed this analysis (even though I'm only halfway through) and applaud you for the effort. It's great that we have dedicated people like you in the community.

You could be right! That's what makes the community so great. We all have different opinions. I thoroughly appreciate the read!
Yeah, one thing that sometimes happens if you´d play a midrange Paladin, is that you fizzle out if you dont get your Stonehill defenders. This spell should give you value or tempo ( glowtron, skaterbot, etc.) Great card imo.
Cards like Acolyte of Pain and Lay on Hands are just so bad .( because very slow or can be negated by silence) Also, if Mechs can be fast enough versus Shudderwock or Malygos, (or at least the Mechs should be hard to remove) Midrange could be very viable.

You're totally right! I think Crystology is a great card. I'm sure it will see play. But. in the next four months, my prediction just so happens to see nothing but the Aggro Paladins we see now.
Ah, I've been expecting this. I want to thank you for your effort even before starting to read xD apparently the word count keeps getting up :p
EDIT: done! apparently we still don't agree a lot, but it's a great read anyway ;)
I don't really undestand your logic sometimes: for example, you bash Juicy Psychmelon because Druid has other card draw options (in a nutshell ^^) but then you praise Biology Project in spite of all the other ramp options...
And apparently, you are still licking your Mage wounds from last expansion, judging by your Mage card ratings this time xD

First of all, thanks for your dedication! Secondly, yes I'm still licking my wounds after my bombed Mage predictions!
Finally, yeah, I just think some outclass others. I probably should have been more clear.
I'd say that I agree with most ratings except for Academic Espionage. As an exclusively Miracle Rogue player, I wouldn't put this in my deck even if it were 2 mana. There are a LOT of bad cards that you can get, and you're not guaranteed to draw any good cards as you're only shuffling 10 cards, which also makes your deck less consistent (like Malchezaar). Seems really bad with Unstable Element (why are you holding this spell the whole game then leaving the rest of your deck to RNG), and with Auctioneer you'd rather cycle the cheap spells you actually put in the deck. I hope I'm wrong because I really like this card, but unfortunately I just don't see it.
Soul Infusion – One Star – With the exception of Void Analyst and maybe Prince Keleseth, this is the only other hand buff card for Warlock. There’s no way a deck like this is going to work with such few tools and it was never good in the first place when MSoG was released. If that expansion was in Standard, then maybe it could happen. Alas, it is not.
Stopped reading after this. Because, clearly, you have no idea, what you are talking about.

You and I are pretty close on a lot of the cards, with a few exceptions.
I think The Boomship will be the last piece of the Recruit Warrior puzzle. This means that there will probably be at least 2 ways to play Warrior, making mulligans more difficult.
I think Security Rover is just too far understatted. If it had Magnetic, I'd give it more thought. I guess there's the curve into Nullifier?
Regarding Kangor's Endless Army, I think you're being a bit too harsh. I agree that the conflicts with things like Mecharoo make it inconsistent. But I also thought that Witching Hour for just Hadronox was a pipe dream. I think people will figure out how to build Mech paladin in a way that will use this card well.

Strong work, my friend!
Always appreciate some conflicting opinions. Thank you for the read!
If you look at my last review, I was WAAAAY inaccurate with my Mage predictions so. It could happen again!
I think there is a pretty large consensus on the Mage cards being mostly underwhelming. We can quibble over exactly HOW bad particular cards are (I think Luna is a bit better than you do, etc.), but the end result is still that it got the worst class cards in the set.
If Hand Mage somehow works, this changes, as those cards get better. But, as a person who played a fair amount of that deck (assuming it stays near to the shell Kibler created), I don't think it really competes for a place in the meta with either Aggro Mage or Big Spell all that well. It is midrange though - and that's sort of where we are at right now...so maybe?
Zerek and Power Word: Replicate will 100% be used in meme decks. Therefore 2 stars per your system.
Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
