Odd paladin will probably use it just because it's the best board clear/reset it can get and it synergizes with the dude spam. Also makes Equality combos more consistent for Control Paladin.
On an unrealed note, that's the second card revealed today that has the exact same effect as a card from TESL. This one is Power of Almsivi.
2 equalities was never enough, so this is a more expensive equality in my eyes with a overpriced humility effect but thats still better than only having 2 equalities and running out of answers later in the game, and overpriced equality is better than no equality
I don't see why any deck would play this over Equality. Voted "bad".
Topdecking equality vs, say, a full Dragoncaller Alanna and you're still dead. Topdeck Shrink ray and you take 7 damage

Equality is usually coupled with Consecration, Wild Pyromancer or lots of Silver Hand Recruit (in pre-nerf Even Paladin) to blow up the board whereas this card is useful as a standalone countermeasure in case your opponent drops too many biggies for you to handle. I think it will find its place but Odd Paladin? Nah.
People need to stop comparing this to mass Polymorph, that removes all Deathrattles and ongoing effects which is one of the reasons why it's good.
The card itself is basically a 5 mana Equality and Equality is a good card but I'm doubting this card because
1. Control Paladin as of yet has still not been shown a clear wincon (Kangor's Army isn't a wincon - it can only be used once as opposed to Hadronox, and there are no charge mechs in the game as of yet so it can't close out the game immediately, it gives one turn of good value but can be dealt with so is more like Dragoncaller Alanna - DK Guldan has a lot of power in not just the mass rez but also the HP which is insane). I see some people trying to say Uther DK is a good wincon, which makes me laugh.
2. I don't think Odd Paladin will run this either. Yes, I agree, Odd Paladin could be a different deck if it had the card pool for it - in control v control an ever increasing army of 1/1s to chips down your opponents would be insane (or it would be if DK Jaina wasn't a thing). In its current iteration imo Owl is probably a better solution for laddering than this card is. Also notable that Void Ripper has synergies with Raid Leader and doesn't get rid of your buffs on minions.
Also notably it has to be combo'd with Wild Pyro or Consec again or have a pre-existing board to actually clear the board, important that it doesn't actually clear the board when you use it it just neutralizes it, which means cards with persistent effects like LK or hell even cards like flappy bird continue to do their thing.
The card has potential sure because it's still a Equality type card but I'm not sure this will help. Maybe if the DK Uther deck becomes viable while playing as few minions as possible this card may find a place in that deck, I don't know. At the moment I'm gonna rate it Playable.
I like this card. Specifically against Taunt druid. this is like another equality and another Tarim in one card. Simply adding more options in the controlling paladin stable. If you cant beat their crazy amounts of stats with your own, time to rebalance the playing field.

except if you have any sort of board damage or minion presence, there's no reason to play this over equality. With equality you're going to kill all the biggest minions; no reason to set the others' attack to one.
you have no idea. Every time I play a non-aggro paladin I have to run either equality or consecration, and the problem lies in that you are forced to run at least x2 of either consecration or pyromancer to clear the board after you play equality on it. If you only have one of the two you are basically cucked against a board, while this new card is more reliable and more consistent, kinda like a tarim without the 3/7 body. Definitely better than Enter the Coliseum, I doubt odd paladin will run even one copy of this, and will see play in more control style decks.
I feel you, infact there are many like you , who dont play aggro/odd Paladin and try to make a more Controlish version viable. Paladin has one of the coolest core cards to make a Control archetype , hmm interesting (to me at least) .
Unfortunately Blizzard seems to push Paladin in a more token based aggressive direction. To be fair, this expansion they gave us more tools with carddraw and Shrink Ray (who is way better than Enter the Coliseum ). But they also push single cards who hold almost endless value , sadly a Control archetype, no matter how good the boardclears are, doesnt do much against that.
(Btw i try a midrange version , maybe there is room for one copy of shrink ray , but its such a dead card vs Bigmage, Shudderwock, Druids etc...)

If you are glad about it, the statement might not be completely true. ;)
Anyway, redundant effects make each other stronger when played together. I expect to see more of both this AND equality.
my exact words.

This card is powerful. However, additional copies of Equality is not what Control Paladin needs.
This card may not be the best ex-nihilo
But it is an extremely powerfull addition to an already strong Odd Paladin.
I voted Meta-defining, as it will push a strong deck even higher.
Better call it "Stink Ray".
Haha, every time I click on this thread, i read it as Stinky Ray ^^
Isn't it obvious that this is an odd card?

Trust me I main paladin and I hate playing aggro
