I recently got this card and since it looks like a big tempo loss, it doesn't seem like a very good card. I don't think I've seen anyone playing a crafted deck with it. Is there a good deck that includes this card or should I dust it?
If you play it with a good control Hunter, that get a lot of zombeast and then play emeriss.. Maybe you could win 1/5. Not thanks to Emeriss, but thanks to the deck in general.. secrets, spellstone ecc.
Emeriss, now, is a niche card, good against other control deck, but you MUST have at least 7/8 minions into your hands, with charge, lifesteal or taunt.
Just as you guessed it's a big tempo loss, or as it used to be called a winmore card. If you can play it and still win, then you probably would've won without it.
This card is the more extreme example of win-more card.
Don't help you when losing, in many games is just a dead card in your hand.
Don't affect the board when played giving the opponent a turn to finish you.
If you playing control and can play a 10 manas card without downsides you probably win already.
After all of this a doubled stats minions in your hand don't make a diference, you probably will win this game already except maybe vs another very slow control but it is 1 game in 7 or less.
Safe dust after you decide don't open more packs from this expansion.
Today in my free brawl pack I got Barongeddon, then I had a cup of fresh green tea. As a result of that, I think Priest is OP because my keyboard is not a mechanical one. I hope Blizzard will address this issue.
dont ever dust it. Even if it always sucks. The value you get from DEing cards is so abysmal, especially since they implemented the system where you can't get the same legend twice. If you open a 2nd one, bingo, you just lost 1200 dust.
That being said, Emeriss is hilarious in wild with C'Thun. C'thun hunter is also pretty crazy because it's the only class that can discover multiple of him with Stitched Trackers. Very fun deck imo. Plus, theres a lot of combo decks you can make with her and Dire Frenzy. Also insane with Witchwood Grizzly.
Would agree with the rest of the sentiments in here...its a win more card (and this coming from someone who thinks that 'win more' moniker is greatly overused), but also not dustworthy. There are some fun applications and you never know when a card may become applicable via the introduction of a new synergy.
Seriously: I've played about a dozen games of Dragon Paladin and won two games with Emeriss from Swamp Dragon Egg or Bone Drake. 16/16 Lich King and 8/24 Ysera are pretty good.
I save all legendaries as a general rule, but I'm hopeful that Big E has a future. I foresee a smaller mana minion one day being released with text "Battlecry: Activate the Battlecry of a random minion in your deck."

Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.
I lost ina game where my opponent was running Stonetusk Boar and several summon / discover mechanics. He managed get me down from a fairly safe (or so I thought...) health total with an 16/16 King Krush and a slew of hyped boars. It's definitly a win more card but it can be a powerful surprise if she isn't anticipated.
it's incredibly potent in value matchups (for example against something like Big Spell Mage) where the enemy is attempting to grind you out and Emeriss can give you threats too big for them to handle....but in those matchups Deathstalker is usually enough.

I tried having fun once. It was awful.

This is the deck Savjz made with Emeriss: https://www.hearthpwn.com/decks/1101134-savjz-hunter
Emeriss isn't a great card, but she can be used in combo decks or even Big Hunter depending on the decklist.
I use her in a big hunter deck, works great with leeroy and king crush. Leery plus faceless manipulator for 24 damage is pretty good. :)
I have to agree with the replies so far. She's definitely a winmore card, but I'll wait with dusting it until I really need the dust.
Well, if you get her off of Prince Liam in a Wild handbuff pally deck, she's pretty busted...

Emeriss is awesome in Dragon Paladin. ;)

Golden Hero Collections thus far; -
Europe: Druid, Hunter, Paladin, Mage, Priest, Rogue, Shaman, Warlock, Warrior (9/9)
Americas: Druid, Mage, Paladin Shaman (4/9)
Everywhere else: Workin on it.. (0/9)
Emeriss is amazing in dragon (/egg) hunter
edit: and other uses as well, dont dust :-)
you should try it out in a few decks
Like Poisoned Blade, it is a class card that works better when randomly generated by other classes.
