I voted No as the best nerf would have been to revert it back to it's original state -.-
I might try Wild now atleast I have till turn 8 to either draw Psychic Scream, Lightbomb, Equality/ Consecration or Poison Seeds and then just concede when all the stupid lands on the board and I didn't have one of the auto include cards in hand.
I also voted no as I agree with how the original state would have been a better nerf. This card took the blizzard punishment by being absolutely murdered
I am disappointed by this Nerf. It totally killed the deck. It should have revert it to it's previous state. Now, it will just be use for Giants. I clicked 'No'.
If it was the previous state, Giants could be only be played one at a time each turn due to the mana cost being always 5. Plus, Naga could be use for other things than just Giants.
It will be interesting to how new iterations of Giant deck will playout once the nerfs are live.
I get what they are up to, but it is not quite elegant.
1: They want the giants cost-reductions to be consistantly applied on top of other reductions, like Bright-Eyed Scout and Far Sight. I see their point, and maybe some time in the future, this consistancy will be good to have in the game.
2: Reverting the functionallity would not put it in a niche, it would destroy the card. At 10 mana, huge valuebombs like Warlock DK and N'zoth are available now, so this +random 10-cost is simply not enough.
3: They are hoping that a turn 8 giant-spam will still be viable, but it won't be. Midrange/tempo decks aim to have lethal at that point, so it is simply too late. The previous giantspam was FASTER than midrange decks, but could be countered by hardcore face aggro.
At least the most broken interaction in the game is gone. Yaay!

Finally someone who gets it. It's not all about Giants people, other cards do exist that reduce cost. Future cards will be able to benefit from this type of cost reduction.
Reverting Naga to its original state, I will say again, would completely destroy the card as it was in ZERO decks before the ninja buff. Furthermore, it was an incorrect interaction BEFORE they ninja buffed it; they made the card work the way it always SHOULD have worked. Yes, it created a severely broken interaction as a side-effect, but that's why it's being nerfed now. HS team is very slow to react to these things, remember (not that I'm defending them).
While I'm happy that giants aren't going to be a problem in wild anymore, I agree with the sentiment that this change shouldn't be happening. I don't know why they insist on keeping the mana reduction to the point where it makes the giants cheap/free, it feels wrong. I like the idea of it enforcing that ALL cards cost 5 regardless of mana reduction text. It's so brainless and it ruins this card flavor-wise.
Shudderwock means driving a clown car in circles around your opponent while he swings his sword at you. Half the time he chops you and your car to pieces. The other half you park on his legs and 40 clowns come out one by one, trampling him to death.

I honestly don't agree that reverting it would "Destroy" the card. Not every card needs to be broken. I played it in all of my ramp druid decks and it was very decent. I was often able to play this on turn 4 and then play Ysera on turn 5. That's huge. This is no longer possible now. If this absolutely has to work with cost reduction cards, then I guess this is the only solution. I just liked its previous purpose better.
Let us also keep in mind that this nerf, instead of just reverting the retarded excuse for a change Blizzard put on Naga in the first place, also ruins the flavour of the card. OG it was a 5 mana 5/5 that made your cards cost 5. That's very neat, and looks nice. Instead, they chose to fuck up the consistency and aesthetic of the design. Now, your 5/5 that makes your cards cost 5 (0), is 8 mana.
I don't even like their original excuse that it made the card more consistent with the others. Since this is (from what I know), the only aura that sets cards to a specific price. Not buffs or reduces their cost, nor is only applied one time. Just make it how it used to be, so that I can stop having an aneurysm.
Nah, this card is garbage now. Most Wild decks can deal with a board full of minions on turn 8.
Most wild decks will just rush you down turn 5,6,7. Nagalock often won by spamming giants before aggro could lethal you. The few control decks out there have enough time to clear your board now. I am glad naga giants is dead, good riddance!
By making this 8 mana they literally killed the Giant decks. Mark my words, people are going to cry about Control decks now. Especially Kabal and Reno varriations. (If we take into account how other nerfs will impact Wild). And it is not even a big loss for Giant lovers because they will play Big Priest now due to the fact that Barnes remains unchanged
Kingsbane Rogue might rise but it will be still vulnerable to heavy control priest with Arcibishop.
Kingsbane rogue is the bane of control decks, even nagalock loses if they can't play naga+giants turn 5. Also there's combo and mill decks that will punish control hard. Sad to say wild will always be an aggro meta, it's 80% aggro right now. Cubelock may be the best non aggro deck, but paladin will remain tier 1.
Blizz decided not to nerf it at this time, they will wait and see how much of a problem big priest is. Barnes might still get nerfed down the road, but big priest would need to be everywhere for this to happen.
Sooo... a shit card got accidently buffed to the insanely overpowered levels just to get destroyed instead of "fixing" the interaction that caused it to be broken... gj blizzard and thx for the dust
The code didn't really allow for naga to be reverted, they tried it and other ways, at the end, a +3 mana bump was just the easiest solution and it kills naga as a bonus. Reverting naga would have killed it all the same anyway.
I don't know... this nerfs kinda destroyed all other decks that played around her mechanic. Such as the OTK Quest Mage(Quest + Naga + Aexstrasza + Pyroblast + Naga Hit = 30 Damage).
Valeera the Hollow and the old naga would make an excellent combo, opening the door for doubling up on some cards that normally cost 5+. Now, you can't play anything after Naga, so I guess Valeera DK went from Trash-tier to Ultratrash-tier as well.
For me the Hearth of the card did get destroyed. It should just say All cards ALWAYS cost 5. Now you can rename Her into Queen of the Giants Battlecrie: your Giants cost 0.
I played Naga Sea With with Warlock and I just hit Rank 5 for the first time... I'm gonna miss this card... I wont be in time to reach legend at this point with Naga Sea Witch... It has been a journey of 4th turn + Coin + Naga and 2 giants... 5th Turn Laotheb = Opponent auto-concedes.
It was so much fun. I will forever remember this moment where I am deeply sad of a nerf... It is a provilage to dust you for 800 smackeroonies... Good bye Naga...

Very satisfied we won't be seeing these decks anymore. Still think they could have accepted their mistake and reverted the initial change.

I'm mostly sad that at 8 mana Naga can never be used in anything BUT giant decks.
Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.

was this needed because of wild? I never see it in standard

I was just getting in to Wild Mode this season and I am disappointed that I never got a proper chance to use this card before it was nerfed.
