So how does Tess Greymane work if you're against a rogue? I haven't read through the 9 pages so sorry if this has come up haha. Will it just play the cards that you burgled directly from them? Since the game knows which cards are in your deck and which ones were created by something else?
No it has to be cards from another class, but that means you can just put cards that generate other class cards through other means into the deck like that witches cauldron or whatever its called
Ah gotcha. That's a little bit annoying, but the synergy with Witch's Cauldron is pretty cool. I still don't know if I like how much RNG there is haha, but I suppose you do have some control over what is cast (more than Yogg'saron, that is).

The more I think about it, the more this card looks controversial. I don't feel like writing a whole novel, so I'm writing the following paragraph instead:
It all depends on how well rogues control the board. Because while the effect of this legendary is strong, you have to make a lot of set up, before you actually get to benefit from her. Playing the burgle cards - > playing the actual cards from the other classes -> Tess Greymane. You have to survive, before you play her. Against control decks she might feel like a win-condition, but against everything else... The card is sweet and she alone carries the burgle package, so I don't have any problems with her specifically. My only issue is how rogue is a squishy class and almost all of the new class cards belong to a deck, which looks more like a control one. Gratz, but where are the powerful tools, which will guarantee you to survive until you get to play those cards?
I will still craft that card, but mainly because I like casual Rogue decks. Until we see the aforementioned support, I'm kinda sceptical about that build on the ladder.
Crap design because it doesn't work in the mirror. Very poor show blizzard. Why can't it say "cards that didn't start in your deck"? like the mage quest?
Don't worry, with the actual quality of rogue cards an eclipse will happen more often than a Valeera mirror match.

Well, if you're playing again rogue, better avoid dropping 8 mana 6/6 - do nothing. But it's a silly thing they designed her that way, should have been all burgled and played cards regardless of class.
Okay, this won't work in standard because most of the burgle cards are going to wild, but in wild where you'll have SwashburglarUndercity Huckster and Sonya Shadowdancer to replay whatever minion your burgled, this, this might be really good.
A card for a terrible deck will be always a shit card. Don't know why many noobs voted meta-defining.
yeah because the hunter legendary weapon and the spellstone didn't enable spellhunter, how idiotic can some of you be??? how did you even learn to read and write in the first place?

You are aware that the backbone of spell hunter is the Barnes Y'shaarj combo right? No one plays To my side! or Rhok'delar competitively. Besides that fact, you are comparing apples to oranges to try to make your point, that is never a good look.
Lots of people are comparing this card to yogg and n'zoth but i think Lynessa Sunsorrow is a more fitting comparision. You get to build your own win condition. The cards you get from your opponent's class may be random but you can control the order they are played in or you don't have to play them at all.
Just in case anyone is wondering, or thinks this card is bad right now.
I just tested with Obsidian Shard, and both DK and Ysera cards count as "from another class". This means you can theoretically drop tess, and get a 7/6 dragon, deal 3 damage to all enemy minions and equip Frostmourne. That in itself seems kind of incredible without running any kind of meme theft deck. Not to mention this is rogue, you can Shadowstep your Tess and still get a large board thanks to her battlecry.
Even with good burgle synergies, I have no way of knowing what effect this card will have at the start of a given game, although I will know the effect at the time I play her. This makes her a more stable version of Yogg-Saron, Hope's End, a card that I can't remember seeing outside of Mage decks.
The fact that she can play minions, weapons, and Hero cards in addition to spells is worth noting, so I expect to hear some interesting stories of how this card was used, if nothing else.

You didn't rememberg seeing Yogg-Saron, Hope's End outside of Mage decks ? Have you actually played Hearthstone before his nerf ? He was everywhere !

No I did not see his pre-nerf version, I joined the game after that. Thanks for the perspective!
I won't be too disappointed if I open her in a pack. I really appreciate the design of the card but can't see a competitive deck (at least in Standard) which includes her.

This. This is what I will craft first. Fun as hell.
We’ll see if Tess can carry the archetype but the strength of this card depends on if burgle Rogue can be a thing. If it’s not this just won’t work.
Does this mean Ysera's dreams card will work too?

you get high value from this card even if you play the face collector only twice

Can be fun in Wild though.
Nope.
