I see potential. It's a big enough minion to pose a threat to be dealt with. And I do think with a combination of freeze and AoE like lightning storm and volcano shaman can make it to turn seven or eight. If you manage to keep up a board, some of Haggatha's spells could be usefull, even the totem ones.
On paper, it seems weak. But a lot of cards seem weak on paper, this might be a sleeper card if Shaman becomes a bigger thing this year.
However, it seems odd. It has spell synergy (obviously to pair with your random spells), but it comes the turn before Hagatha (meaning you won't have many random spells, unless we see more playable random spell cards), and it has a pretty fair body for the effect... but it more or less does nothing the turn it's played. On Turn 7. And the effect isn't even that strong! It draws minions when you play spells... eh.
Like I said, this might be a sleeper card. Seems weak on paper, but strong in practice. Who knows?
Got a lot of potential and great synergy with Hagatha and unstable evolution but might be a bit too slow. I fell like curator's better because it's got less conditions for draw and the taunt is probably worth more than the 2 hp because it helps protect your face and gives you more time to use the value you just got.
I posted a link the other day to an evaluation of the Hearthpwn Community Compendiums for Year of the Mammoth. The community predicted that 46 cards released last year were 4+ stars - only 18 ended up seeing play. To their credit, the community correctly predicted 89 of 105 bad cards.
As I post this, 41% of the community suspect that Bogshaper is 4 or 5 stars.
Apart from minions meant to be cheated into play, there hasn't been a turn 7+ "pass the turn, and hope you don't die" since Dr. Boom. Doing nothing to impact the game on turns 7+ isn't really viable - these days, even Dr. Boom only has a play-rate of about 4% in Wild. Bogshaper is a fun card, and it will often be the correct Discover choice off Servant of Kalimos in a value battle if Elemental Shaman ever works - but it won't otherwise see play.
This is a new card that will help to break the meta!
Edit: To the people who think this is bad - As a general rule, something that is not good playing it on its turn it is not good enough. With that in mind, it fits quite well. But obviously this is meant to work with Hagatha. The stats are good enough that just on turn 7, its poses a threat which requires an immediate answer. But when you pick the second copy after Hagatha is played, you are very likely amassing some useless Shaman Spells (two of them cost 0 mana). Just the value of getting that card and drawing 2 or 3 cards, will make this more than playable, but necessary.

Since it's a bad epic, I voted "Dust It!"
You should see reedit. So many morons belive this card is good. Holy shit.
Haussenfuss>> Totaly agree. I don't understand that hype of this average card.
Regarding the elemental shaman archetype (which I believed to be good). There is a problem with weak early game or huge tempo swing in midgame. That's why even much more stronger card with direct impact on board/game - Kalimos, Primal Lord doesn't see play. Why anybody wants to play 4/8 do nothing on turn 7? Forget about filling your deck with 0 costs spell, jsut for the potential synergy, it will just kill you faster...

Kalimos, Primal Lord is a very good card. Elemental Shaman just need a couple of unfair cards, and Kalimos will be an instant include in a midragen/control Shaman deck. If you manage to stabilize, then Kalimos/Grumble combos are bonkers. I have played many elemental Shaman decks, and the early game has always been its weakness.
I think people often think way too much in terms of what is playable right now rather than looking forward. Only knowing about this card and Hagatha, yes, it would probably not work very well in the current meta, but that doesn't mean it won't next "year". We can't say for sure with an incomplete list of cards, but at least to me the potential for this style of shaman is pretty high.
That doesn't mean it's definitely going to be playable, but unless there's pretty much no support for this archetype aside from these two cards, I personally believe it will see play.
Oh guys you say auctioner and stuff really pisses me off because auctioner is good in specific classes that has cheap spell generators such as Druid and rogue but shaman is not one of them you know why ? because spells have overload and they are not cheap.
This is only good with unstable evolution if you have a minion on board you can play this and Unstable Evolution and draw 3 minion at turn 10.
You can play it with Hagatha the Witch better value but harder condition.
This card might see play depend on the meta. But this is a very late game card so unlikely.
Large health pool can save it, because it doesn't die to e.g. Fireball. Can be decent with Hagatha. It's juts a tought, but... maby Elemental Hagatha deck can be a thing now? It was promissing only after Hagatha's reveal, with Boggshaper it's even better.

Still waiting for some decent shaman spells to make this deck (Hagatha + elementals ) be a thing. Blizz???
Do it or do not , there is no try...
I feel confused about that card.
It has potential but its cost is intimidating.
Obviously Fire Plume Harbinger will be a must in elemental shaman decks
Spirits be with you man !
I don't know about the card itself but artwork is so ugly. Especially after very good artworks in the revealed cards.

Carpe Diem - Seize the day
Ok make the other Bog minions Elementals now Blizzard. And while you're at it, North Sea Kraken still ain't a Beast
Slow, yes, but with 8 health it has a chance of surviving a turn or two.

It's Epic - Check
Draws Cards - Check
Without it the archetype doesn't work - Check
Archetype also requires a legendary - Check
Hard for Priest to deal with - Check

Tankier auctioneer with for specific draw that synergize with the hero card. Sign me up.
Problem I see is finding the balance of minions and spells to make this consistent without the hero card
Drawing cards to thin the deck is always strong.. like it.. hopefully can find a place in the meta

7 mana ....hmm no
I voted playable only because Shaman is so hard up for card draw that this might be played
