This card is probably really terrible - like one of the worst cards ever printed terrible (I am saying that too often with this set)...
BUT there are plenty of decks (basically any aggro deck) that won't be able to take advantage of a 0-mana play to start the turn in the same way that Druid can. If you squint hard enough, and believe in unicorns, maybe there is a place where this card sees play.
Well, it seems like the Druids are getting buttfu***d for their Jade Idol, Ultimate Infestation dominance...not sure if I like it because I was hoping to finally be able to play some Druid once stupid idol rotates :/
A question for some of you Lore masters, is Aviana someone that special in WoW? How come she's getting 2 legendary cards, and someone like Cenarius, Broll Bearmantle or Hamuul Runetotem gets 1 or none? (admittedly, I've heard for the last two only because I participate in card design competitions)
Not a lore buff, but i think Aviana is one of the wild gods, so one of the spirits the druids follow or something like that.
If (maybe a big if) druid manages to go really long this could be played really late for a combo enabler since Kun is gone. Control can't go as long once N'zoth rotates, so the threats are less. Could also be used against aggro.
so basically this is essentially play this card and give your opponent the advantage to use this effect before you do. lol, like others have said nothing i'm seeing so far is anywhere near on the power level of what priest and warlock have received, classes that are currently dumpster tier have continued to received dumpster cards while priest and warlock which are already head and shoulders above everything else continue to get stupid stuff (priest and warlock new legendaries in-particular come to mind).

Thinking about this more, I think maybe the card isn't obviously crazy strong, but it's better than it's being given credit for. There's a lot of decks in the current meta that play cards at specific times for their effect on the board (for instance, Cubelock playing the DK - they aren't going to play it on turn 4 simply because it's free). Your opponent isn't going to play a card simply because they can in a lot of cases. Sure you'll get screwed some of the time, but that's a risk this card carries - think of Dirty Rat. It's a high risk/reward card that pays off the better you can hand read. I think this card is a lot like that. If you know accurately what your opponent has and are confident they can't take advantage of a free card more than you can, then you play this card. And like Dirty Rat, you don't simply slam it down on curve; you play it at a specific time when you get the most value out of it.
This card is similar to, but much worse than Millhouse Manastorm.

Avianna 2.0
Battlecry: Give your opponent a panic attack and fear that you're about to OTK them as they desperately try to figure out how to remove it.
love this card

Avianna 5 mana 3/7 Battlecry: Your opponent discards one card, and if they do, destroy this card.

This with malygos and douple faceless
Wait how will this work in Wild if you play Loatheb immediately after? Will your opponent's first spell cost 0 + 5, or just 0?

And once again, this expansion seems destined to continue to dominance of Priests and Warlocks.

Interestingly I think in contrast to Temporus, this card is a lot stronger vs aggro and a lot weaker vs control.
This could see play in a Big/Ramp Druid deck for sure.

2 turn kill card.
If there is a combo to protect you from death then next turn Malygos will do his thing.
