I voted no.

Not because I'm a priest player (I'm not (...AT ALL)), or because I think the Razakus Priest decks aren't broken. I just think that Raza isn't the problem in that deck. The DK is.

Before the DK card, Raza was merrily getting on with his life without any worry of being nerfed. Suddenly, the DK card comes along and Raza is public enemy number one. Raza didn't do anything to deserve this! I also think the nerf is too heavy - The Razakus Priest decks will probably dissipate and will be a thing of the past, just like Quest Rogue. A nerf should be to even out the playing field, not flip it altogether.

Imo, the DK card should be nerfed. Something small that gives the opponent a new angle to beat them, like changing the battlecry to something less catastrophic, like "Destroy a random minion that costs 5 or more", meaning the opponent can flood the board with big minions before turn 8 without too much worry. Or, just nerf it to 10 mana, giving the opponent 2 more turns to swing it. Or even change the hero power altogether, maybe to only refresh after casting a spell instead of playing a card.

This way, the main 'essence' of the deck isn't destroyed - It will just be a bit more difficult to pull it off.

I think this is quite a fair change, and it's actually nice to see Blizzard putting some thought into Wild. Because at this point so close to the rotation, this is basically a Wild balance update.

Razakus will still exist in Wild, although I can't see it remaining Tier 1 immediately after the change. I do think it will still be slightly more powerful than Reno Mage and Reno Warlock decks. However, decks are going to have to be completely overhauled. Rather than playing the OTK Solitaire game with Velen and half a deck of card draw, you will now need to have some actual board presence in the way of deathrattles/N'Zoth or dragon synergy.

 Well your beloved archtype gonna be kicked out Standard in the next two month anyway so it doesnt really matter does it? In Wild, Spawn of shadow do a lot of damage so you still otk there. 

 I have the deck but it was just an aditional deck I am using 5 archetypes in the ladder right now.

Secretmage, Cubelock, Zoolock, Highlanderpriest, Spitefulpriest.

Tho I think  highlander never deserved that much hatred especially in standart. 

 

Also I don't want them to make changes in game because of the wild what is the point of playing standart if wild is more fun.

I don't think it's fair because Priest has never been a strong choice, in fact was probably the class with the fewest appearances before ICC. Now, one expansion and a quarter later it's been destroyed. There is no substitute for this nerf, Raza Priest has just lost its win condition and that is huge. Now Priest can go back to being almost unplayable, as it will have done anyway in a couple of months. The only place this nerf is valid is in the 'wild' format, which is absolutely fine but it has come a little bit early imo. The DK will be garbage come the rotation anyway.

I think I'll disenchant mine. I originally crafted it to heal minions and trigger heal synergies in Reno decks (in the MSG era). It was useful but not spectacular there, so after the nerf I don't expect it to be good for anything but machine gunning. I don't mind though: with the dust I can craft a different legendary to have fun with.

So you are claiming Shadowreaper is stronger than Raza? Did i read you correctly? Having a constant gain of mana and tempo advantage over your opponent every single turn (cannot be really played around) is weaker than some shitty single-shot board clear with mediocre hero power? 

You might want to refresh your knowledge of this game before you write noob posts like this. Some basic concepts like tempo and value, you know? Just so you know - DK exists outside Razakus as well and it's pretty mediocre there, cause it's not a free hero power.

I actually agree with Ch4ce that Raza wasnt the problem, Highlander priest was a good deck before DK but nowhere as strong as it is now with the DK. And Raza was not alone in making Highlander Priest strong, for me Kazakus was of bigger influence for this deck pre-DK.

Decks like tempo rogue would also like to have a word with you about how shitty that DK board clear is.

Corridor got shafted, but that’s fine.  Sick of people keeping 2x  it in their hand and playing 2 5/5s for free on turn 4-5.  3/5 would have been better, or only your minions.

 Sorry, but no. Cubelock is quite bad against many decks, that includes all priest decks NOT only Reno-priest. Malygos-druid for example.

Also you can't really tech against both cubelock AND Reno-Priest.

 Quite bad? If you look at the matchups for it in any meta report or at it's winrate in HSreplay it's quite the opposite. It's just good overall and strong agaisnt most decks. The only real unfavorable matchup post nerfs will be tempo mage. And if it becomes prevaalent then cube will just tech against it!

And how do you even tech agaisnt cubelock? Silence effects? Weapon removal? Good luck outvaluing them then as well as any deck that have no targets for those.
