Generally, the minions that have conditional discounts that are only met when in hand are not really good. You don't want it in your hand at the beginning, since it is not an early game card. But when you topdeck it later, it still costs 7 mana and needs to be discounted first. Admitted, when you get it and you have a board, you might even be able to play it immediately for very low mana cost. But that is too much "if"to be consistent. And on the other side, playing a 5/5 for 7 mana is just a bad play.
I vote bad, but I might underestimate how easy it will be to discount it. A 5/5 for 4 mana is maybe playable, for 3 it is good. But I think on average it will not be cheap enough.
Notice that it doesn't say friendly minion, it also counts minions that die for your opponent. All it takes is 3 minions dying for this to be playable as a decent card, which isn't much at all in a meta with cards like Firefly, Patches, etc.
Hunter for example can play Alleycat into Kindly Grandmother into Rat Pack, and that's all it takes for this to cost 0, without counting any minions on the opponent's side of the board. Hunter also has many more cards that summon tokens, such as Infested Wolf, Savannah Highmane, and soon also the spellstone.
This is easily somewhere between very good and meta defining. I can see Hunter, Druid, Rogue, Warlock, Shaman, and Paladin all using this in their aggressive decks.
You guys are saying this goes into token decks, but the first thing I thought when I saw it was Dragonfire Potion to clear the board and then you drop this guy for free (or nearly free).

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
While it's unfair to compare cards to Thing From Below, this card is just so much worse.
1. you have to have this in your hand as it gets discounted. That's the big one, holding a card for 2-3 turns in your hand in a tempo deck is never a good thing. Thing from below gets discounted even when it's in your deck.
Surely at least one minion dies during most turns of Hearthstone? That suggests that this gets cheaper twice as quickly as Nerubian Prophet or even faster.
Next time you play Hearthstone, keep a count of how many minions died before your 4th turn (or before you start using mana on your 4th turn). I suspect that the average will be greater than 4. Indeed, I would imagine that you are playing a 5/5 for free by turn 5, if you held this from the start. That seems pretty good to me.

Arena, definitely. Constructed? Hmmmmmm....maybe?
Sounds good in theory. But keeping a card in your mulligan that you can play 4 turns later reduces your chances to get a good early game. If you do not have your early game because you kept a mid game card, there are less minions that can be killed (if you can kill them at all). And then you still have an overprized 5/5 in hand on turn 4. In a perfect mulligan (1drop and 2 drop in hand), yes, it will likely be cheap enough on turn 4 (maybe even 3) and then it is a strong play. But that's the perfect hand. Anyway, I don't really know what the average outcome will be, so maybe it gets reduced quick enough and keeping it will pay off. I personally do not think it will, though.
Pretty good in hunter, druid and shaman decks!
.
twisting nether play 2 of these and 2 arcane tyrant? who am i kidding
Vvreeeew.

Ehr... is it me, or the art sends off some obscene vibes? :P
What I see is wincondition for Deathstalker Rexxar against control decks. But you don't put it in your deck, so dust it.

Carpe Diem - Seize the day
Carpe Diem - Seize the day
Definitely going to test how impactful it is in quest hunter
Good to see that the beast tag actually got added - wouldn't have made sense if it wasn't a beast.
