Good card. Divine Shield is really strong. Lets you make favourable trades at pretty much any turn while cycling.
Hand of Protection's issue is more that it's just too low-impact, it's a lousy topdeck. This is a great topdeck because it cycles straight into another card. This is way better.
I.... I... I don't know. I mean, Hand of Protection is not worth 1 mana and a card. Then draw a card is not worth two mana and a card (Hint: FlareCall PetPurifyRoll the BonesCommanding Shout). Bloodmage Thalnos and Loot Hoarder don't see play in Paladin. Not even Blessing of Wisdom. So, by stats, not good enough. Mainly because of the value of a divine shield in turn 2, is not that big as in turn 6. And 2 mana cost cards are either good in turn 2, or are not getting any better later on (exception crazy good combos like Sleep with the Fishes).
This card depends a lot on the prevalence of Lynessa Sunsorrow. If that card sees play, this is worh 2 cards drawn. That is good. If that card sees no play (loads of discussion still on that one), then this card will not see play either. So stop that 60% very good rating!
No one ever used the standalone 1 cost spell that gave divine shield, I dunno if adding the card draw for one more mana makes it usable. I'm guessing not.
This goes a Mana below that of the usual comparison, which makes a HUGE difference. As seen earlier, a single Mana difference can change a card from being terrible, to being amazing. I don't know if that is the case of this, but it does have potential.

I want a new title, but Flux won't let me have one,
When I look at this card, what I see is Power Word for Paladins. I think the effect is exactly as powerful at Power Word, not more and not less. Now I'm asking myself, if PW was 2mana instead of 1 mana would I still play it? The answer is a strong no, no I would not. My prediction is that this card will not see much (if any) play because it's 1mana too high.

lol PW Shield is an auto include in every single Priest deck. It's so fucking broken it's stupid. Are you serious right now dude?
This card is really only good in a deck running Lynessa Sunsorrow, because in those decks it can be thought of as 2 mana "Draw a card now and another one on turn 7." It's like how Loot Hoarder is pretty good in N'Zoth, the Corruptor decks since it gives some late game card draw. Without Lynessa Sunsorrow though, this card is not good enough.

I agree with you, PWS is obviously great. My point is, would PWS still be as good at 2mana? IMO no and on that basis I predict this card is being highly overrated.
well,at first look pretty meh but after watch trump's review video i change my mind, this is very good card (but maybe not auto-include) because the drawing effect .It only terrible when you dont have any minion and pay 4 mana (hero power + this) for 1/1 divine shield draw a card
Divin Shield is decent, the fact that it is a cheap, instant cycle card, which is something Paladins have lacked and have wanted, mean this is at least a 1 of in every single deck.

Everybody saying how great the buff is probably auto-include Hand of Protection in their deck.

I love this card I will play sure. It's going to be so painful when you opponent has this in arena and gets a free trade and cycles
My guess is this card is actually bad, argent protector cost the same and u get a 2/2 instead of card draw which is generally better.

divine shield > 3 health at mid and late game, and paladin has no card draw so sorry to say but this will be in every paladin deck

Wow, card draw in paladin. That’s a thing!

And that is a bad thing?
Usually when we look at the Mana cost for a card with Draw on it. The usual idea is that +1 Card draw=2 Mana.
Examples include: Moonfire and Shiv, Darkbomb and Hammer of Wrath.

Probably only playable with that 7 mana 1/1. Divine shield is not worth that much unless you can attack with the minion immediately.
Maybe Murloc Paladin can use it, it's ahead on the board a decent amount of time.

definitely going to see play imo. It cycles a card and gives divine shield. It will also be so good in arena. Great card

I can't wait for aggro buff paladin, don't think that deck wants the quest tho.
