This card can replace Shield slam too. Because it actually 2 shieldslam in 1 card. And with the new AOE is like a mega shield slam anyway, 2 more copy of shieldslam is an waste.
Y'all saying it should attack heroes, stacking armor is the easiest thing to do in warriror, surely harder against aggro, but in a control match up it would just be a 2 mana win the game
I'm skeptical. I feel like it's just Shield Slam 2.0 that doesn't get geisted, which isn't bad, but at this point I'm not sure if I would run it over shield slam. True, you could run both, but I don't see much point in that. I'm also expecting to see more oozes if these legendary weapons become popular.
Probably better in greedy control matchups for sure, but you don't see too many of those matchups. I'll say it's not bad, but not needed or entirely useful. If it sees much play I think it'll probably be later in the expansion rather than sooner.
Edit: The "can't attack heroes" part I feel is pretty irrelevant
Thinking of it, this card make all armor cards in Warrior suddenly much better. If you equip this , then continue playing. Your opponent wont waste his weapon removal on your 0-2 weapon, most of them want to kill your legendary weapon right?
any time you play Shieldblock, that card becames Gain 5 armor draw a card, equip 5/2 weapon. If you play Ironforce portal, it becomes Gain 4 armor, a random 4 mana minion, equip 4/2 weapon. If you play the new 6 mana spell, and so on..
Malkorok is a warrior card mainly played in control warrior. So... isn't this card one of the better results?
No? Malkorok was always played in TEMPO warrior, because he provided a body and a weapon (charge for your hero), which you could use its raw power against an enemy minion or as a pressure to their face. Control never needed Malkorok, because he doesn't contribute to a control strategy at all - you don't get value for the late game, you don't sustain yourself nor do you clear a board/threat. Since the outcome varies a lot, you might highroll and get a decent weapon, you might even get something worthless (Molten Blade), the card is not reliable at all; not to mention that even in the good scenarios the outcome isn't all that impressive, in order for this card to make the cut.
And this is before the K&C set. Once the expansion hits, the weapon card pool will be "diluted even more with low-impactful ones". And not because the weapons are bad on their own, but because some require a specific built, which you won't provide, e.g. since you got that rogue or priest weapon randomly out of nowhere.
[edit] and my post was more of a reference to a thread, which talked about the "usefulness" of this legendary in the new expansion
If Fatigue/armor/CW is viable it will likely counter DK Anduin but will be hard countered by Exodia mage. Current fatigue warrior (tier 3 or 4 deck) crushes DK Anduin if DK comes in mid to late game. Current Fatigue warrior has it's biggest issue against Midrange Hunter and some of the tempo decks (mostly Rogue).
Regardless, fatigue and CW are pretty different, and fatigue requires an even more extensive draw engine then CW i'm not sure many cards in the new set really actually advance it that much. If you want to stay afloat current tools like shield slam and execute are way better then the new weapon and board clear.

Stack 30 armor, equip this, Brawl, Mayor Noggenfogger -> 50% lethal

Am a budget player trying to create fun and interesting decks. Sorry for bad spelling.
One of the worst weapons of this expansion.
Firey waraxe died for this

Anger is the punishment we give ourselves for someone else's mistake.

I don't know about this, this is not a Fiery war axe replacement, its more like double shield slam, still it could bring control warrior back.
Maybe the designers anticipated that and prevented it... Just maybe.
Edit - no idea why "Reply" doesn't work like you'd expect it to...
Worse shield slam
This is a great weapon for control warrior and unlike other classes warrior can tutor your weapons.
5 manas gain 5 armor and your 2 cost weapon can kill a 5/5, really don't bad at all.
The problem is, how you will play with CW in the meta with so many insane control killers like Highlander Priest, Jade Druid and Exodia mage?
After rotation will we see if this is possible, for now don't.
Problem is: what do you replace in the already overcrowded fatigue/armor warrior?
Not a bad card per se, but not as good as many others fitting the same archetype.
If you used Upgrade on this would it get +1 attack or would it always be your armor amount?

Pre-nerf Winaxe was better.
This competes pretty well against Gorehowl though.
